These unemployed Sikh youth from upper middle class families have now started this scam in Punjab. Targeting small vendors for money for video and good review and promising there business to grow. When Sikhs do it a culture known for honesty is particularly hurtful to see them associated with a scam
My family is telling me there is epidemic of these bloggers in Punjab mainly by Sikh youth who target small vendors charge them for video and reviews. These outsider vendors fall for this and give them money . What was respected profession of blogging now has scammers with 5000 views but make money by charging . Wonder how there families feel watching there kids doing extortion, especially proud Sikh family
Have you noticed these bloggers only go to small street vendors, they are the only ones that give them money thinking it will promote there shop. The larger restaurants throw them out of there establishments. Disgraceful especially epidemic of Sikhs doing this in Punjab and Chandigarh .
These food bloggers take money from these small restaurants and street vendors if you don’t give them money they threaten to give bad review. For a Sikh to do this extortion is shameful
These upper middle class children rather than finding honorable jobs are now a epidemic of scammers in india. Everyday over 10 bloggers are visiting these small establishments and extorting money for a good review or they threaten them with bad reviews. Once they extort one person they tell other bloggers the same. In one day they will visit 5 vendors charge money for video . They have nothing of value , just stand there eat free food and charge for video. Street vendors are getting tired of this extortion in india
