This was an excellent two-part tour. Paul was very detailed and he seems very enthusiastic about his entire operation, which is just great. I wish we had many pubs like this, with people like Paul in the U.S., because I haven't been able to find any place like this.

I'm watching this again feeling incredibly sad knowing that Scotland has lost this lovely man only yesterday. I always enjoyed his company ( in the Bon and at the Glasgow Whisky Festival ) as did everyone else who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Something that's quite common here in California are the restaurants and bars that also have micro-breweries making the house beers. Ralfy, if you ever visit this part of the world do check out the micro-breweries.

    Hi Ralfy,
I suggested last year that you would visit a farm and talk to the farmer about barley. What qualities barley must have in order to produce a good whisky.
A few farmers grow barley here in Iceland and they are expecting a very good harvest this year due to the volcanic ash, which has proven to be a excellent fertilizer.
Didn't we send you some ash last spring?
