These people talk as if _all_ Louis Vuitton items are absolute perfection, but the fact is that they're not. You get shoddy stitching, unsymmetrical patterns; very small defects that occur because shit happens. If things are hand made, there is an element of human error, that's life. So please don't be concerned if your bag has this or doesn't have that because people ultimately just don't care.
Louis Vuitton is such a highly replicated brand anyway that most bags and accessories you see people carrying around are assumed to be fake regardless, so you can't win unless you want to staple your receipt to your bag.
Lmao I love the last line, there is so many replicas EVERYWHERE! I've noticed that the only people that seem to really care about stuff like "how to spot a fake LV" and all that are the ones that can't really afford the bags, but save up and buy them so they seem annoyed when other people get fakes for a fraction of the cost and have multiple leather goods. Most rich people that can afford to buy them don't really care who has a fake and who doesn't.

I bought a neverful in '08 and I was on the train and a little girl was pointing at my bag and her momma was "its a fake" lmao, I wasn't about to announce on the train that it was real and get jumped lol but yes alot of people assume that it's fake. I just can't buy fakes cause I know it is and it bothers me, but if it doesn't bother you, go for it, just don't get caught.

I have a collection of new and pre-loved LV bags. They're happy to replace the zippers and other small repairs free of charge. If after 15 years and I want an entire bottom of my $1500 Alma bag repaired, I will have a whole new bag. It's called an investment.

That is not always true that real bags "stay together". My LV that I purchased from the LV store fell apart. The leather that held the handles on the bag ripped after a few years and now the bag is useless. The leather handles on my Prada purchased at Prada in Rome pulled apart and looks horrible. So if you can find a good fake, you'll save money because there is no guarantee that the real thing will "stay together".

Some DE Neverfull GM bags have two LV squares on the bottom bottom of the bag. If the particular bag has only two LV squares they should be perfectly centered. If the bag has four LV squares on the bottom of the bag, they should line up on the edges of the bottom of the bag. I would say 40% of the DE Neverfull GM bags I've looked at in stores have the 2 squares on the bottom.... I highly doubt 40% of the LV inventory is fake. False information is not good.
I spent 1,700 dollars on my Louis vitton bag, and honestly you can't really tell it's real or its fake. No one is going to talk a magnifying glass. The only difference is the quality. If you want to buy a replica, go ahead. Save money 😊. Who cares.

So what i learnt from this is that if you pay 800-1200 pounds for a authentic louis vuitton all you get is brighter stitches on the inside and 2 extra logos at the bottom were nobody looks thank you im better of taking the 40 pound replica :)
For me personally, a real or a fake wouldn't make a difference if the price was right. I'm not a real handbag hoarder so it doesn't matter to me. However, these tips are good to know if you are purchasing from somewhere other than louis vouitton and you want to make sure you're not getting cheated out of your money! (Like charging full LV prices for a FAKE)

The vlogger should specify that these identifiers only hold true for newer bags. The older ones do not have cloth tags inside of the bag, and "made in France" is etched into the leather on the pocket with the rest of the inscription. I bought my Neverfull in 2008 from the LV store on Rodeo Drive, and the markers are different from the ones here. Size also matters. The MM doesn't have the same square count as the GM.
FYI - I bought my Neverfull at the Louis Vuitton store so I know it's real. I only have one LV square on the bottom, right in the middle. Also my leather tag is embossed with "made in USA" and I don't have a red tag on the inside. So, there are some inconsistencies within real LVs. Everything else on the video matches my bag.

I agree, I was watching another LV comparison video and the bottom of the authentic bag had uneven flowers and the LV symbol while the replica was perfectly aligned with the pattern. The authentic one had a flaw and usually that bag should have been aligned like the replica.

I live in New Zealand and to enter an LV store you need to queue outside the shop with a security man standing guard and allowing 3 persons at a time into the already empty shelve shop. I found it very humiliating to queue to spend thousands of dollars on a bag . So I normally buy preloved or get my hubby to buy me when ever he travel outside the country. Gucci and Dior also famous brands allow customers into the shop with no security on your on your neck. I have stopped comparing my bags on utube reviews as almost all the bags are not the same . 😁 . I bought my bag in the store receipt and all and my date is red on the brown leather flap soooooo I dont know how that part is accurate because i wouldnt pay 1200 in the store for a fake bag.

A lot of her statements presented as “facts” are incorrect. If you want to make sure your bag is authentic, either buy it directly from the LV Boutique or from their 800# or website, or use an actual reputable authentication service. I hope people haven’t watched this video and used her misinformation in order to self authenticate a purchase! Making this type of video riddled with false information and misconceptions presented as facts is irresponsible and unprofessional.

OMG! Huge authentication fail! Damier ebene bags were stamped with red markings til just a few years ago...and the textile tags are only in American made bags. Maybe look at the date code if it matches the country of origin stamp and if the date code makes sense (week and year) the one shown fake isn't necessarily is a counterfeit...and this video proves that the best and only way is to be owning an authentic purse to save up your coins and purchase one from a Louis Vuitton store

I just purchased This bag from LV store downtown Toronto. So the bottom of my bag has one Lv square right in the middle. Also, the writing is also in red. Mine has a a tag made in USA.

I agree with impademonium...tags vary... some do have it(tag) usually ones made in the US have it ,versus Made in france don't have tag. Also red imprint is accurate on some and some don't it depends where bag was made.. squares on bottom don't matter they should be aligned though.. red color inside does fade if bag lives in a hot city or if you are in the sun a lot. I purchased mine at one of LV Las Vegas and looks orange red like your fake. I do leave it in my car sometimes or carry it out in the town on a sunny day.

For the people who state that it doesn't matter whether or not you have a replica: You have a point IF you are not making an investment and you are merely buying a bag to wear for yourself. The rest of us are buying pieces that will have some value such that, if we need to liquidate assets, we would have something that we could sell (and not have to defraud others). I purchased a bag look exactly like your new one. I brought it to LV store by Valley Fair to authenticate & they told me they are not supposed to. But I'm for sure that my bag is real because I can smell the leather like when it was new.
The fake ones can seem as real as possible, but it will soon be worn out, unlike the real ones. Buying fake ones is a great waste of money!

My authentic does not have the fabric tag, it was MIF. I called LV customer service and they stated most neverfulls made in USA will have the fabric tags whereas made in other countries such as France will not.

I just bought the new model GM Damier Ebene that comes with the pouchette from a LV store. My date stamp on my leather is red and only inside the pouchette, not the bag. My USA tag is fabric not leather. The print is not cursive. The only thing that seems correct is the 4 squares on the bottom. Maybe clarify between the newer models and the old ones. Again, I purchased first hand, directly from LV.

Yes, that would be correct. Only the bags made in the US have that tag on the inside…in addition older bags (pre 2012, I think) will not have that tag either. The MM logos will also have different placement from the GM and PM versions.

To all of the other discussion on this comment page: Yes GM, MM, and PM sizes have different placement of the LV logo squares, but they are consistent between the sizes (e.g. GM, MM, or PM). If not then its a fake definitely. As for the cloth tags, yes only made in USA has cloth tags. As for LV name on the inside pocket, it should be embossed and not just a print. However the ones in the USA and other countries are different as well. My made in Spain neverfull mm ebene NEW Model (one with pochette inside) print has red color embossed in the letters. My other USA bags looks like what she is showing on this video. Hope this helps people identify the fakes.

Unfortunately we were wrong about the cloth tag. They just started implementing that in 2012, on US bags only. ALSO, you must have the LV MM Neverfull. Those MM bags only have ONE square, where as the GM has 4, so we were correct on that.
I just watched another video or a real LV neverfull bag and the girl's bag only had stripes inside, not flowers or any symols. Also at the bottom she only had 1 LV logo not 2 or 4 as for you. As far as I know this bag was re-designed so there can be differences.
Mines has every feature that you pointed out to be on the authentic one. And I bought it off a chick for $300 I found on FB and met in Walgreens parking lot in Providence, Rhode Island. Lol. I’m not accepting any bag as real until I see a video of you standing in the LV store, handing the snobby cashier your credit card and her handing you the receipt, then a screen shot of the $1600 charge on your card.

But how do you find these clues if you are buying on line. You can turn the bag or look at a friends. How would you do this?
The only thing I would question about that bag is the number of squares on the bottom. Everything else is disputable. I just purchased a bag exactly like this at a flagship store and a mono print as well. The representative pulled out THREE mono gm bags with alignment that was ridiculously way off! As far as the tag goes, if it did have a made in the USA tag in the inside, it would be fake because it also is stamped “Louis Vuitton Paris- Made in France” on the inside pocket. Only USA produced bags have the made in the USA tag...and a rep dust bag doesn’t make your bag a fake off the top...just saying
Great video I bought a never full two years ago from the LV store and I don't know why I think it's fake maybe someone returned a fake and they didn't notice and resold the item .... And my other LV bag from the same store had loads of marks on the gold metal .... They aren't good quality bags kind of regret buying then

The last video I watched where a lady compared the real and the fake . The real one had one Louis Vuitton square on the bottom and the fake had 2. But in this video the real one had 4 at the bottom.... I’m confused

Right now I am looking at buying a pre-loved LV NF MM in DE. It says Louis Vuitton Paris Made in USA on the leather piece around the zipper. It does not have a cloth tag. Did they make NF with that?

We don't mean to be misleading in any way about the cloth tag. We just found out about this. And in no way is the fake as good as the authentic! The authentic bag has more time put into it, as it is a hand made bag, and was actually designed by a luxury designer. The fake bag is a cheap plastic copy with no leather and no finer materials used.

My bag doesn't have the additional made in USA tag on the side and mine was purchased in Louis Vuitton store in Italy. 100% authentic. I have the mm size and only have one Louis Vuitton print in the center on the bottom....tricky

Good review - however, I do not agree with some comparisons. I have an authentic DE and my interior stamp with NOT imprinted just stamped just like the replica. Also, the LV logo on the bottom of my bag only has 1 LV, not 4. Maybe I should have purchased the knockoff 😂
The fake looked great but the interior color and fading is the most obvious giveaway. Most replica's have a hard time getting the colors correct. That is what will make or break your replica.
You're ok then! The made in tab is only for USA bags made in 2012 or later. Hope that helps!

I'm guessing I have the fake one than 😱 my bag has that red shining stamp on the inside pocket but the date stamp is actually stamped in the leather . I am so so mad right now
