Yeah girl you now are the Mar 🌊 cause the Mar or ocean is an inspiration and you inspire and provide with everything that she has and you as well

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Leather work is another beautiful craft and even easier to learn and practice than pottery, a few simple tools and a couple of instructional videos, a couple of failures and you are already past halfway to a beautiful handbag.
Very cool!
Would love to see some videos of you throwing different vases, plates, mugs! And also lots of kiln openings! Great video!
Coming soon!
really fun to see how passionate you are when talking about your craft. Hope to feel like that someday, very inspiring work
Thank you, that means a lot that you can see that! Sometimes passion comes about in strange ways. I hope you can see where that is in your life so soon
Thanks for answering my question (Jay1982)! Keep up the great work!
Thank you for asking!
Good vid! I love the way your workshop has a look to it that it has evolved over time.
When you studied Ceramics in the formal course do they talk about the science behind sintering and vitrification? I figure that enables you to make choices about temperatures and firing times and maybe other variables that you might not otherwise be capable of. Analogous to the way a painter might mix their own paints and alter the vehicle and pigment for different effect.
Not in high school but the professors in college went more in depth into the science of things. Theres still so so much still I'm learning. And thank you I'm so glad you liked it :)
Thank you for sharing your art as well as your time on this video. While I do not create pottery, i am inspired by your interaction and creativity, then translate it through the medium of photography. Again, thank you!
Aw thank you for sharing that! I absolutely love photography and its so important for us artists to keep inspiring others. That makes me so happy
Great vid!!!
Could you walk us through the process of designing a piece before throwing?
Ty mar
Absolutely!
@@Marlaina_thepotterylady ty!
Thank you for sharing your passion.
I'm also a fan of Primitive Technology here on RUclips. Have you ever watched any of his videos? How he experiments with clay and uses pottery to get the desired effect, from digging to firing, is just mesmerizing and so interesting. I find myself watching your videos with that same fascination.
Thanks again and keep up the great work! 😊
Yes I have heard of him! I should check out his pottery video thats sounds so interesting. Thanks for the recommendation! Its an honor that you find my videos interesting as well :)
Wooooooh best potter out there
I like your channel name
But pots explode from moisture.. not air bubbles 🥲 steam causes the pressure.. sorry to burst your bubble 😅 xo I’ve fired multiple closed forms as long as they’re bone dry 💕
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
As someone starting, how at 25/26 years of age did you afford to buy the beautiful house that has a 500 sq foot garage to make into a studio…not to mention all of equipment to go in the studio? Basically, how did you financially get started?
Great question! - I am very very grateful to my parents because I would not be able to do this without them. I am still living with my parents and I rent out the garage and my living space from them for a price only a parent can offer. Through such low living costs I was able to save for the wheel first and about a year later was able to afford the kiln.
Before I had my kiln I would do work for a local paint your pottery shop in exchange for space in there kiln! It hasn’t been perfect or ideal but little steps have helped to make bigger ones. Soon hopefully I can get my own space!
