  • Leicester has so much to see and do. There are the well known things such as the sports teams the Leicester Tigers and Leicester City Football Club but also some lesser known ones including a replica of the Statue of Liberty a number of theatres, huge street art, a phenomenally impressive War memorial along with other incredible Victorian architecture from the town hall to old factories
    In This video I will cover the above and more, including location, useful information and some historical context so please stay to the end for all the detail. Also included are the Victorian Railway station, The Marquis of Wellington, the 240 year old New Walk, Museum and Art Gallery with Egyptian artefacts, old photographs, De Montford Hall, Sir Edwin Landseer Lutyens designed Arch of Remembrance or War Memorial, Leicester University, Victoria Park ( Old Leicester Racecourse), Welford Road Victorian Cemetery, Old Cattle Market, Morrisons and the Counting House pub, Leicester City Football Club, Filbert Street, Leicester Statue of Liberty, Canal and River Soar, Leicester Tigers Rugby Union stadium, Leicester prison, Leicester Street Art, Curve Theatre, Athena Events Space, Victorian Buildings including old Midland Bank, Grand Hotel, Old National Westminster Bank, Town hall and clock Tower.     I recently visited Leicester to see how it had changed since 1989.
