  • Biden is on his way to New York City so I decide to take a different spin on the departure video today, heading up to the Washington Monument for a birdseye view. Unfortunately, the weather didn't really cooperate.
    NOTE: It was cloudy, foggy and raining, all of which made for horrible conditions for filming with things looking out of focus (but really just suffering from dirty windows, clouds and wispy fog). I did my best to enhance it in post-processing, but well...take a look)

      Except it actually really is small. That helicopter is coming in at tree top height and so it doesn't have much room to maneuver along the route. The pilots have to put the wheels on those red disks otherwise the Marines have to deal with a very angry White House groundskeeper, and the pilots being given a hard time by their fellow Marines.

    👏 From up there, you get a much better idea of how much space that M1 has to work with and the size of the landing area on the grass. When you are at ground level, it gives the impression that it is a really small area, which is why they seem to take so long getting manoeuvred and down. I'm glad that you plan to do this again on a clearer day!

    • @trapdoorspringfieldmodel1888

      It actually is a really small area because they are at tree top height while landing.

    • @trapdoorspringfieldmodel1888
      @trapdoorspringfieldmodel1888 Год назад

      @@amberlance182 They start above, but they are quickly at tree top height on their descent. It is a very narrow route and it isn't forgiving to mistakes, but what do I know except what the actual Marine One pilots have said.

    • @trapdoorspringfieldmodel1888
      @trapdoorspringfieldmodel1888 Год назад

      @@amberlance182 They plant trees because some die, because Presidents like to plant trees, and because the Secret Service wants a sight line blocked.
      Well, they said it as part of one of the documentaries filmed about Marine One that I have seen, and they weren't complaining about "HOW HARD" it is. They were explaining why the job is hard, why it takes a lot of training, and that not all who apply for the job will be able to even complete the training they have to undergo.
      As to why they can't land where they had done so when the South Lawn was undergoing construction it is simple, and it is because Presidents like the short walk and the iconic look that the South Lawn landing zone has over using the motorcade and the landing zone at The Ellipse.
      You really created a whole bunch of nothing out of a simple explanation that they are dealing with a tight landing zone contrary to what a 2d image shows.

    Still a good view. That was the telltale all view. For the most part, the tree line is not quite as close as it seems in the ground view. There is a clearing to land. Slowly but surely, seems to be the weight of the machine that is in the handling of the controls to plop down on the pads. You can almost see the turn of the chopper that you hear is the hardest to control, if that back blade spins out of rotation , is in that second hand grip with both feet on the pedal to hold that heaviness in place. Actually a good place for that sweeping view of business as usual in DC

      P6 has covered this before. There is a 4-5’ montage poster and they just have not updated yet since they need to print out a whole new one. More pressing issues than just reprinting it.

      It takes time for the entire panel on the board to be replaced. The other side of the Presiden't wall in the Visitors Centre shows who is the current 46th President. The board will be updated and no doubt the conspiracy fantasy types will be in uproar. In the other museums the end dates are shows for Trump 2017-2021. The same goes for Melania with her inaugural dress showing the dates of 2017-2021. Now surely under your theory Melania should still be First Lady and no end date on the dress? Can you see how silly it all gets? Again, the WH Visitors Centre President's board panel will be updated with Trump's end date and Biden's start date. The prominent scammers and grifters will go into melt down with their excuses and the whole silly conspiracy cycle will continue. In the meantime Trump will no be making his big reveal, will not have been re-instated nor appearing on the Emergecy Alert System to address US popultation. Yes, the silly Trump nonsense is a scam and hoax made up on the internet by a few prominent scammers and grifters. The same grifters that promised you that JFK Jnr was coming back to run or be Trump's VP. Get yourself out of the hoax!

    green leaves on trees????

      Yes. The White House is surrounded by evergreens such as Southern Magnolias and other varieties that do not shed their leaves. This is in large part due to security concerns, with the trees helping protect the windows of the residence. Trees further away from the WH are a mix of evergreens and deciduous trees.

      Yes and P6 recently covered this before. Take a look back at the videos from late November to early December

      Come on, seriously? Please stop falling for this silly nonsense peddled on social media. Please do some research. Yes, many of the trees on the WH grounds are evergreen.
      See Trump leaving the WH for the last time on Marine One during January 2021. Aerial shot and note all the trees still with their leaves on. Evergreen!
