Now add this HP and live happily ever after: ruclips.net/video/iYdTSCuRc9U/видео.html I wanted to mention this recommendation in the video itself but it sliped my mind. Maybe I should start scripting my reviews. 🤔
I’ve had my Gremlin since the 7th, probably have a good 200 hours on it, all with the Select tubes in it. I haven’t tried the Core tubes yet. I’m running Sennheiser HD650s and HifiMAN Edition KS headphones, Elysian Pilgrim IEMs with it. I love this little beast!
A 6922 is not normally considered an equivalent to a 12au7. Pin 9 on a 6922 is a shield...heater center tap for a 12au7. One is a 6v tube (6)922 the other a 12volt (12)au7. I guess they could leave pin 9 free floating? And technically a 12au7 can be run in parallel for a 6v filament. But the operating points are completely different between these 2 tubes if I recall correctly. I wonder which tube this amp is exactly biased to run more correctly. A 12au7 will have more distortion than a 6922 in most circuits. A 6922 has almost half the gain as a 12au7 type. The 2 tubes are definitely on opposite sides of each other when biased correctly. Anyway, good review as always. I was just a little perplexed about Apos choosing the 12au7 along with a 6992. I must be misunderstanding something. If anyone can help me understand better why these 2 types were chosen please explain. 👍
There is a jumper to move in the amp itself for adjusting the bias for a 6922 tube set. I haven't used a pair yet but making the change is easy. There is also another jumper to turn on the green under case LEDs. A cool little amp all around
Outstanding as always Srboljub. I just got my Gremlin (w/core tubes only) and I love it. I agree with all your points on the core tubes. Unfortunately I was cheap initially and did not get the select tubes at the same time. I guess I'll have to get a matched pair of selects now. I also want to do some comparisons with the Gremlin against the Schiit Vali 3 and xDuoo MT-602. Thank you and keep up the great work.
I love tubish sound and the ability to roll tubes to see how the sound changes. Given all this there is one major drawback. They don't last very long, so you need to purchase your favorite tubes and keep several pairs in stock. So you just keep paying into infinity with this type of equipment.
Please consider a review of the Emotiva BasX A2 Mini. I bought the Wharfedale Diamond 220s that you recommended in an earlier video. I am now considering the BasX A2 mini, Fosi V3, and Denon PM600NE. I prefer a warmer sound, so perhaps will choose the Denon. But I think you recommended the Fosi amp along with the SMSL SU-1 as an acceptable combination for the Wharfedales.
If I understood correctly, the audio performance of *Fiio* K11 *R2R* is in line with its price, they are modest. I wonder if the audio experience from the K11 R2R is improved by using a tube amp, like the Apos Gremlin?
Probably, after all power supply is the source of all electrical signal in any device. But I didn't have any of the better 24V variaty to test and the provided one is doing a fine job already.
Not everyone is looking for a room filling professional audio studio. Some people just want small stuff that fits on their desk that doesn’t cost half the price of a car. If it’s not for you why the hell did you even click on this video?

Excellent, as always.
I love the looks of this little beast! Wonderful review!
Merry Christmas Alisandro, great content as always!
much love from Indonesia ♥️✨✨✨
Thanks for all you do! Happy Holidays. ;-)

Edition KS?
vs MT604 please ? thanks
This is a real testament to the Apos Ray Select tubes!

@@christiharris292 Thank you for sharing this information. I think the switch is a pretty good feature. Very cool
Grate review, Thank you sir
Very curious to have this compared with an amp based on 6SN7 tube. Maybe apos will build a version with 6sn7. Great review!

This is every high-end manufacturer's nightmare. Let 'em weep, mightily. 😅😂🤣 By the way, have a Merry Christmas! 🙂🎶🎶❄️☃️🍾
Somehow, I don't think it will replace my iFi Phantom iCAN.

As a true audiophile, you need to have a bad boy LPSUs on hand, to satisfy the tweakers among your viewers 😉

I guess then the next question is, what would a better power supply do for it.
Oh, scary!! Already a nightmare for other manufacturers as it is! 😅
Great review! I’m thinking of buying Ibasso dc elite as i can’t pair it up with my mojo 2. Hopes that is a good idea
Pls review Fiio ft1 pro

Fiio K11 R2R only has RCA single ended outs. Gremlin has balanced inputs only. So we can't connect them together easily.
I have a been hearing great things about the Apos Ray Tubes , so much so I may try some of their Select 12AX7. But will they beat my NOS Tesla ECC83?
Oh man. You should try the new Schitt Audio Vali 3 for $149. 100V rail on the thing.
FIRST! 🎉
🎄Merry Christmas!🎄

How does it compare to the Aune S 17 Pro (Evo)?
Aune has bigger soundstage and richer sound.
@@iiWiReviews Thanks for the answer! Then i will stay with the Aune only for now. Happy holidays!
would it go well with the Meze 105 AER headphones?
Yes, I like that pairing's sound a lot, especially with Select tubes.
@iiWiReviews thanks man, excellent review!!
a upgraded power supply could perhaps improve the sound quality even further .

this one or Xduoo mt-602?
This one.
I see no reason to buy it instead of the xDuoo MH-02
No mention that this is an American store and shipping to Europe costs $35 usd not including possible customs + taxes?
He does not address shipping cost to anywhere. Makes perfect sense.
Nonono not another impulse buy :p
Good for you - resist the fomo! :D
WTF who cares for that tiny balanced amplifier?
