I don't think the ending means we lose Mia. We lose the Jungle Mia we created in our minds to avoid the truth. We couldn't cope with indirectly killing millions only to abandon the person we killed them all for. But when we found the cure we could justify our actions enough to face reality. We still don't know if the real Mia is even alive but our imaginary mia cajols us by saying we could lose ourselves again and come back to the forest.
I love how the game was trying to throw the cure in your face with all the notes, yet the only reason I found it was because I thought to myself "Well, why the hell not? Better try it before I test my human flesh theory."
I prefer the bad ending, the way the villagers just stared at you as you tried to jusitfy everything was awesome. The good ending left me hanging im kind of glad i didnt grind for the cure.
I think most people get the bad ending. I remember making sure to read everything and remember the whole story about the Tribe Kid's and the Frogs, it even shows you the notes right before the bad ending but it never mentions that its the World's Cure or that it might be. It also doesn't say anything about even entering that tent. I believe thats why it's called Green Hell. You're in Hell. I was very frustrated to get the bad ending after all i went through. I have a save stored so i can go back to get the good ending but kinda feel like it's cheating. I wish they mentioned finding a cure as a quest marker. Great video.
yep, eactly. the devs show the story about the frog on the very beginning of the game, and player will surely forget it by the end (especially that there is no clue that it is important or leads to anything). And it isn't clear how to enter the tent, and even zero explanation about the machine. The cure is so important, but the dev's didn't really want us to create it and bad ending is the main sence of the game.
Seems that the whole idea is that Jake is a bad guy who killed millions and left his wife to die alone. Mia accuses him so hard, even though he risks his life to find the cure for her, because he loves her so much that cannot leave without her. So the bad ending is canonical - I guess this is the only game that is ending with worldwide pandemic killing everyone :D There is basically no explanation about the tent with the machine (and very vague indication how to find the cure), it seems they were added last minute just to give a good ending to those who want it.
Yikes 3 year old comment. Yes its actually really good. Super in depth ti having to check yourself for injuries and the game doesnt tell you what any plants are. You have to use them to find out what they do. Actually really good.
@@kinglucifer9462 😁 I do love how the game looks but, I am unable to play because my PC is old and crap from 2010! Maybe when I win the lottery, oh, wait, you actually have to pay to win, I'm out forever unless they raise my Soc. Sec. above 900 dollars a month!
The problem with upgrades is, they cost money of which I truly am poor so, I need to find some! I would be living the game!🤣 It's cool, I am playing D&D and watching others play on Critical Roll! Matthew Mercer is a awesome DM!
Point of the Delta camp is the same as all camps - just to bring some "interesting" places, so that player is not too bored by jungles. All the camps are really useless, except for those with the Ajahuaska.
Hey man, love your channel. Which one would you recommend for the Forest or this game? Also, have you ever played Stranded Deep? I feel like it's the kind of content your channel makes and it looks fun.
Thanks Aziz it's a tough call, both have their pros and cons, I think for a more "realistic" survival experience I'd recommend Green Hell. For a better story experience I'd say Forest.
@@grapejuice8266 yes, natives get immune to the frog poison. But there is no clue that they also get immune to the virus because of the frog. Actually there is no direct indication that the natives are eating that mushroom and it gives them super health. Developers released like 30 updates, but did not make a coincise and complete story...
God this game sucks so bad. Find a cure, ahhh ok where then nothing have no direction at all. When I get to this final camp nothing is said, so don't know if it glitched out or what cause was exploring and stumbled on it earlier before making cure. Now I get there no ingredients to make hallucinations no hey mia where are u just senseless running around.

I walked around that tent SO many times and didn’t find the zip opening!

This ending... the Mia voice remembered me the sea emperor.
Thanks for the playthrough. I picked up this game on sale a few days ago and was totally lost.

Here I am 2 years later looking for a cure, thnks
holy shit.
so the bad ending you just basically destroy mankind?

What's the other end?
@@gisi5276You fail to find a cure and mia makes you see everything you did wrong a whole continent dies and do doesn't she

The gold pouch is just to get a certain achievement. If you complete the story with it on your person you get it.

Looks like a really good game for survivalists 😀

@Paul Vamos thats truly unfortunate it is quite the game. I wish you luck on future upgrades :)

when i was grabbing the frog a camin came at me it scared the crap out of me i thought i was going to die
Does anyone knows what was the point of Delta camp if the game ends before we get there ??

it took me a bit to find the opening
Did both endings.
ok first, how do u know it's the poison dart frog? r u the cure for cancer in real life?
the hero we need
It's hinted at the very start of the game, the natives put small dosage of poison to the kids so they can steadily get immuned to it.

What happens if it keeps failing? Then what
Why couldn't this have just been a survival game, hate why so many of these games have to stuff some hallucinogenic story into it.
you can always just start a "survival" game mode and ditch the story alltogether
This is just a survival game the stories optional. Also it’s called psychological horror
