If you leave food on the dryer too long after its dried it spoils when picked up. However if you eat it straight from the dryer it is fine. Assume its an oversight in coding.
Great tips! Some of them I did not know yet. One addition maybe: harvesting charcoal will give you ash, great for when you're building with mud. Wish I had found that out sooner. Thanks.
I was so stoked i found out about the holding L2 to look around while in inventory lol. Until then i was trying my best to aim my view where my destination might be and then proceeded to do ALOT of strafing lol. You can grab logs onto the crafting "table" (rock), you just can't use the X button to auto transfer the logs, instead you have to manually drag and drop, same goes for big rocks, palm and banana leaves. I carry as many logs as is downed around me. Oh and that flower that turns into the long green cat tail like fruit doesn't spoil. Gives protein carbs and energy. It isn't alot of the macronutrients, something like 20 carbs and 10 energy i think, but it's great to store at you base for later. For that matter soups never spoil either, meat stew is the best way to keep your meat, and they tend to be the best method of getting nutrients. I recommend stewing plantain lilies (lillys?) And leaving that bowl at camp until something venomous bites you, Even better if you can fit the big cumbersome leaf in your inventory cuz it instantly cures poison when eaten. Aslo DO NOT throw out your empty cans of food. I was destroying those after i ate the food like an idiot lol but you can stick those in forge to get melted iron ore. Much easier and plentiful than picking iron out of a vein in a cave, weighs less and takes less space too Finally im not sure this is a pro tip but you can speed up the drying process for flowers to plant or "small leaf plies" into dry leaves as fire starter by sticking them on a drying rack
Oh! And the blue mushrooms cure 2 parasites as well. Just like the green spikey fruit does. The Orange butter cup mushrooms only cure 1 so the blue mushrooms is a real score lol
Another tip regarding to extinguishing a fire, You may want to actually let it burn out to get coal and camp fire ash. As coal is best to add to a fire. And ash to be used for dressings :)
I haven't seen anyone talking about this but you can maximized the drinking from 25/30 container just by putting them first to a coconut shell before consuming. It will have same amount of nutrients but will divide your water by 10. I just thought this while working with pottery and coconut shells. And it works
These are all solid tips. I almost didn't watch the whole video because I already knew most of them, but there definitely was some things I didn't know that will help me TREMENDOUSLY 😤 Specifically the tip about the bow and carrying items while crafting.
1:45 with the crafting menu I have carried logs with it well bambo logs but it does work with them I stacked 12 on once however thank you for the L2/left trigger to look around I never tried that and instead was lightly moving me right stick to where o wanted to look whilst repeatedly pressing Y/triangle and that was a chore lmao. But does work with logs.
@@DeanNutz made my life a lot easier but I got OTT with it and grab everything yes it’s a slow walk back but so fun to not need to keeping going back for stuff so soon, also logs are fine and do work on it, just ropes the problem always gotta go out for more😂
@@DeanNutz plan to be, but I didn’t know the tribals turn up and destroy your stuff, I heard them for a few minutes just didn’t notice and we’ll half my build gone so it’s a chore but will get there lol.

@@DeanNutz I was very new to green hell about a week ago, and very dumb. I figured out a lot since then. Never once did I pick up mud to make the mud box and I meant stuff that fit into the materials and food parts of the backpack. I’m doing pretty well for myself now if I do say so myself
Great tips! I'm having problems with steady aim on pc, is there a key to hit when I'm trying to shoot my bow to keep more steady when I aim?? I can't aim at all for head shots, crosshair moves all over the place! Ciao
The easiest tip tbh is to not bother with a bow but learn to throw spears, which are always pinpoint accurate. I carry 1-2 obsidian spears to throw and a metal one (more reach) for melee. And if shooting for cocnuts or anything where you might lose them, just use sharp sticks.
Yeah metal is best but obsidian tools and armadillo or bone armor are almost as good but less of a hassle. The one place where you should use metal is on a spear for melee, because the Obsidian version has a rather short range.
If your having trouble with annoying red hit boxes when building bases you can trick the game into placing the structure even through the middle of a tree without any cheats or mods by opening the notebook, selecting your structure, and placing it, all eithin a split second. Timing is crucial, you have to be really fast, but it does work on any console
If you find that you cant find a specific resource, e.g. stones, go to a different area of the map for a day and return, that will reset that area of the map.
The obsidian spear actually has the shortest range. If you want to be able stick dangerous animals from a safe distance, the tribal spear has the greatest reach
If you leave food on the dryer too long after its dried it spoils when picked up. However if you eat it straight from the dryer it is fine. Assume its an oversight in coding.
Nice tip 👍
you only get two sips from turtle shells if your water is at max already
I think it's at 80+ so you hit max with the first 20.
Great in combination with blue mushroom tea btw, stay awake for days. :D
For the double sip soup it’s dependent on your hydration level, if your hydration is low af you’ll drink the whole turtle shell at once
Ahh Isle nice
Great tips! Some of them I did not know yet. One addition maybe: harvesting charcoal will give you ash, great for when you're building with mud. Wish I had found that out sooner. Thanks.

Ash is also good for specialized bandages.

Yes this one is a huge time saver. Also your whole stack of 10 sticks into an oven or such.
