When I first started this game, within 10 minutes of playing I had gotten bit by a snake and spiders, got attacked by a jaguar, I was struggling hardcore. Eventually I realized that this game teaches you to go really slow. Take your time through the jungle and keep your ears open. Now I can survive the jungle for days and not run into any trouble
I found that instead of stabbing the Jaguar, if you aim and throw your spear, it will kill it in one shot. I have tested this a few times and it worked on both. Aim for the head and keep your distance.
I had such a hard time with the jaguar i was flailing my arms around trying to stab it when I saw this and then tried the headshot thing I realized how easy it was lol
This is a great tip thanks! Just started playing this and creating content for it so that will help me stay alive, escaped by the thread of a string during my first encounter with one!
@@ObsidianGamingTvI wouldn't know... the brutal and janky menu/ crafting mechanics keep getting me deaded and making it annoying just to get familiar with it. ..like if i got lost in the Amazon with learning disabilities.
Only tip I would add is that you can throw rocks to get coconuts early game. Coconuts saved me at the start. My other tip is that fiber/bird nest seems to start fire faster than dry leaves. Overall Capy meat is amazing, because I never had enough fat intake... I didn't find Brazil nut until a lot later in game. The rain can also be a blessing and a curse, because when it rains you can't get fire but you get fresh water. The game is super fun - even if you think you're doing well you can still step on a snake, cut by some random animal, or run out of clean water. Even if you survive back to camp, it will take a while for you to be fully ready to go out again. I'm at 50h and there's so much I still haven't learned or seen in the game yet.
Yeah it's brutal. I was bitten by a jaguar my first life and slowly died from worms and leaches. The *FIRST* thing to do is build a sheltered fire, _not_ run into the jungle unprepared.
Nice. I'm happy they made it so you can put soups into clay bottles. The pottery table and metal forging just didn't seem worth it. Now, they need to make metal tools the best gear in the game.
Currently 2 weeks in on green hell. I started in a cave for the first 2 weeks (gonna stay in cave for another 2 weeks in game while i build a mud base ❤️
Also, very good tips. I am currently on the struggle bus with this game. Lots of trial and error, high on the error for me. This game really puts a lot of focus on eating, sleeping, hydrating, etc. While games like the Forest and Sons of the Forest have similar areas you need to maintain, I feel its more emphasized with this game. For instance, I can base build pretty quick in those games but I have yet to start one after struggling for 5 hours.
Thanks and glad the video could help, when you first start the game it can be very hard as it doesn’t “hold your hand” when learning. But once you get used to the items you need etc and what to look for it becomes very easy and you can get a base built pretty quickly too - just don’t forget to eat and drink when building though 🙂
The only fing I fink was missing from this video was a lot of Th's. Everyfing else was great information, not to fick or to fin on the detail. Thank you for the upload
I went trough the story twice, but still i didn't knew few tricks. One advice I can give you - the plants grow back and it doesn't neccessary id the same plant. Same with other harvestable of interests, so to speak
@@ObsidianGamingTv I think someone on steam posted about how it bugged the clay flask to ALWAYS fill with the one soup/brew you added, even if your filling it with Dirty Water to try and fill up a water filter or boil a turtle shell to get a brew going... which IF so, then I can see why they would re-remove the feature until they can fix that particular bug... cause I mean you fill up at a water hole and get a flask full of tabacco brew... would be overly broken...

100% mate, also if you have the required items on you at all times you can cure yourself easily too
I've just started playing. Started on Walk in the Park difficulty. Snakebite and parasites. Died on day one. Welcome to the jungle!

Yea i learned pretty quick that a headshot kills anything instantly i was hunting like crazy😂

Yep bow one shots jaguars as well they even stand still for ya really easy to kill
This is a great tip thanks!

Yes, throw the spear. Bow is harder to aim, and if you miss you're in big trouble.
I’m coming to this fresh off the heels of finishing Subnautica. This game is a whole different definition of “Brutal”
@@tetsusiega2 it’s brutal but in a great way

Build a 4 square room and palm leaf roof over the fire. Stops rain over fire
That last tip is gold
I think if you hold ALT you can move entire stacks of items.
I picked this game up yesterday and it's hilariously kicking my ass. Apparently, I need all the tips and tricks available lol. Nice vid 👍🏽
It’s a tough cookie at first for sure
It gets easier. The main thing is to walk slow through the jungle and keep your eyes and ears open. Awesome game though

The last one tip it's really useful
Lily dressing isn’t for snake bits/poison it’s for rashes ie: bees & ants, tobacco is for poison.

Sadly we can't fill a bidon with soups anymore 😢.
Great video 👍
@@bryanengland2466 not sure why they taken it away as it was a good feature
