Getting your build to work well at Mayhem 10/11 seems difficult at first, but once you know which skills get mayhem scaling it’s not too difficult and opens up to tons of build diversity.
I've put just over 1,020 hours in the game across 4 characters, averaging just over 255 hours for each vault hunter, which is about how long it takes to 100% the game with all DLC, instead of doing it one at a time, I kinda played all 4 characters at the same time, just randomly playing with whichever vault hunter I felt like playing, because I loved the gameplay, progression and exploration so much I found it really easy to play, things like bad storytelling and uninteresting characters and world building never really effect me much, that's not why I play games
If you like these sorts of games, it's an easy recommendation personally. After hearing many complaints about the Calypso Twins, I played expecting to be annoyed by them and found that they weren't as bad as made out. The gameplay is better than prior games and at the current price, you get a lot for your money. It makes it harder to go back and play the older games as you really miss the simple things like fast travel points on larger maps and even something like the slide (coming to a dead halt is not great when you're expecting to continue monentum).

He could've been a really good main story bad guy, but I understand why they didn't do that. They didn't want another handsome jack. Handsome Jack was such a good character though. I agree the layout is confusing but you do get use to it after awhile. I always remember top floor = Control Room with Lilith/Tannis/Hammerlock, floor below = Marcus/Moxxi/Your room/Lost Loot Machine, stairs below leads to Earl/Drop Pod.
I finally have the sanctuary layout down. Question, is there a class/build that can become a super tank and just King Kong the toughest content in the game?
The story wasn’t great but the part that really got me was that, one of your playable characters named Amara, is a Siren, and the story totally didn’t care even though getting all Siren powers was a part of the evil. That didn’t make sense to me.
That's an issue I hope they get away from in the next game. It's been like this since 1. Vault hunters don't become characters until the next game. I really want them to show up in cutscenes. Right now I barely have a reason to use the dozens of cosmetics cause there's just no reason to do so.
@@ninja_k7483 the main twin antagonists are going across the universe to off all Sirens and steal their powers. Point being, you can play as a Siren and it is ignored in the story.

I mean youre standing right there and there’s multiple times in the story he could’ve done it? Why didn’t he? Your problem is another situation where you could’ve had the same issue with 2 but the problem with bl2 fans is there is no problem unless bl3 does it.

The trick to playing all 4 vault hunters and getting them all to endgame is starting all 4 at the same time and then just slowly work your way through all 4, but im a completionist and i was going to do that anyway, i played all 4 characters from the beginning and did everything with all DLC for all 4 as well, i know there are only 4 this time like in BL1 but now we have 4 skill trees and 4 different action skills for each so i think that made up for it, theres just so much more build variety in BL3 compared to the previous games, and now we arent forced to use slug in the endgame because there is no slug thank god
Having too much too do gets me overwhelmed and bored eventually. I started playing recently and I'm level 44, I've already completed the campaign but I couldn't see myself starting 3 other characters lol
Borderlands story has never been the reason I play and I've never thought it was great, it's for the gameplay. BL3 has the best gameplay and build diversity in the series by far, so I love it.
You dont have to play all the way from lvl 1. You can start lvl 13 with a second character and you have 10k on that character and lvl 13 weapons. And it automaticly skip some quests 👍
I wasted about 15 hours this weekend trying to get BL3 to work with UEVR. I played borderlands 3 before and I've heard good things about it in VR but getting it to work was just not cooperating despite the help i got from others in the discord. I wish they would make an official (multiplayer compatible) VR version of the game. I probably have 300 hours in BL2 in VR

Just bought the deluxe edition on sale for $7 like 2 weeks ago and I’ve never played a borderlands game, it’s so fun that even my girlfriend plays it with me and we’re obsessed can’t wait for the 4th lol
To be honest loading a save file for some on the Vault hunters is really easy. I'm not sure if it's considered a bug but to be honest time is Valuable and busting out another 80 hours for another Hunter isn't worth it lol. I would just add someones to save to yours if you really want to make another hunter!
I've been playing with my friend on Xbox and we have had a lot of fun. The crashes and glitches are annoying but not game breaking like you say. We are on the DLC and it's like the second half of the game they're so good.
Just bought the 3rd to play with the wife since she has her own system and to get ready for B4. Always had fun playing considering you can have a somewhat peaceful time or complete mayhem lol
I found the environments overall dull. Standouts are the cityscapes and the space meteor. The Eridian planet and Moorlands were both uninspired and lacked character.

Being a fan of Borderlands 2 ( 1021 hrs ) I can sum up the whole game as: Souless and annoyoing. They found a way to kill everything that made borderlands 2 a masterpiece or they replaced it with a washed down version of it. When it comes to the gameplay if you have done any raid boss farm on borderlands 2 this will feel EZ, like TVHM build on NM ez! MM kinda helps but also it still falls short if you compare end game to end game. Gunplay feels improved at first glance, theres variety, the feel is different from gun to gun, but for some reason theres not this sensation of run&gun, like it feels slugish in some way. The Ai is dumb, the loot tables are HUGE! like for me no more than 5 runs to get what I need, god rolls are a way to add artifitial friction to put some level of challenge on yourself but for the most part one and done when it comes to farming. All of this would it been ok if the main story was any good, but it aint, and I truly believe thats were the main focus should've been, thats what made Borderlands stand out to begin with, they obviously couldnt get to Handsome Jack level with the baddies, that was kinda imposible, but they just dropped the ball so incredible hard on that department that the only reasson to kill them is that they are jus ANNOYING! Dont get me wrong Borderlands 2 has a lot of things you might not enjoy, but the story, the antagonist, the characters, the jokes and the overall tone of the humor on the game is just so increibly perfect, It just has so much replay value, and thats what Borderlands 3 lacks. Is a 6/10 for me, but hey, if is your first time in the Borderlands just go for it! Im sure youll find something to enjoy! Tho, if you really want to experience the borderlands on its peak, then go get Borderlands 2!
I’m actually different. Played both many times. Prefer 3 over 2 by a long run. Story? No. But gameplay feels way better in 3 and if you get both season passes, there’s tone of content. In both games. But I’m a gameplay guy, and the gameplay feels way better in 3

Also the solution for the lackluster endgame is paying more, it's not better and is not just the story, is about the game as whole, in that regard 3 falls short. PC - there are certain areas that always crash on me hard. Maya mission with the vehicle until we meet the eridian. Eden 6 is bad too. Jacobs estate was bad until I made it inside the mansion. I thought it was my computer but I've seen that a lot of people crash on their too. And Gearbox never addressed this. 🙄
anyone have problems playing multiplayer with friends? I lower all my setting and it still stuttering when I play with my friend and same when my friend joined me but we can play alone with no lags.

Just play tiny Tina's wonderlands. They kept all the gun play and put it in a story that doesn't make you want to rip your ears out when the antagonist talks. The Calypsos are annoying, the first vault hunter was disappointing and a couple plot points didn't make much sense with him, the side characters choices didn't make any sense, I hated the side characters as much as the Calypsos. Character development felt forced or out of place.
So you want people to play a game with probably the worst endgame I’ve ever seen instead of a game with the best just because of the story? Pretty stupid if you ask me. If anyone’s reading this don’t listen to him. Yes the story sucks in 3 so what? You have slaughter shafts, takedowns, a classic raid, seasonal content you can activate anytime you want, trials and some of the best dlc I’ve ever played. Don’t listen to a guy with malice they’ll do anything to take potshots at whatever they hate even if it comes at the expense of your enjoyment.
I mean waiting to reach end game to enjoy a game is bad design. Borderlands 3 has lifeless level design, boring quests, sponges enemies. Sure the end game content seems good but after 7h of going around in empty levels to go do quests which most parts are garbage and designed poorly never made me want to go to endgame. So he wants people to play a game that has enjoyable content from the get go and doesn't require you to slog through in order to get enjoyment. Yes wonderlands endgame sucks but the base game is more fun, the level design is better, the world nicer. So what is stupid is telling people to endure the game in order to reach the better content. That is bad video game design. It's insane to see gamers defend that. Wonderlands is the better game hands down. Chaos chamber aren't bad. Borderlands 3 is a drag with the outdated philosophy. If you had said borderlands 2 I would totally agree. So yeah some gamers don't hate for hating they actually enjoy content differently.

Where getting to max level is a chore, there’s no point in op levels since all you gotta do is get to level 62 now and you’ll still see white and greens like your level 1 even though you’re level 55 in uvhm.

Borderlands 3 endgame is significantly easier than Borderlands 2. And that's a good thing because BL2 is borderline impossible for anyone who isn't willing to sink thousands of hours into a single character.
I have the complete edition, with all dlc, i really like all characters and are all super strong, maybe Is the Director's cut that made all equal strong

When you run Zane only use one skill at the start because the second replaces your grenade and you don’t get enough skill points at the beginning to upgrade both using grenades is really strong early
Me and a friend have been replaying all the Borderlands games. We're playing BL3 again now. It's a good game, the gameplay itself being the best part. While the story is sh!t, it's at least an attempt at a story. I'm still bugged by the bullsh!t that Destiny pawned off on us. I started off with 1 of each character though I really did not play 2 of them at all, used the coopetition trick to level them up to max. Now, I'm wanting a secondary Zane build but I can't remember the details on saves. For some reason I remember there being only 4 available save slots, but nothing I see today suggests that that was a thing.
The looter shooter genre is fucked currently thanks to destiny going to shit (I'm glad i didnt invest into that game). You're stuck between Borderlands with it's own issues, and Warframe which is missing the shiny drop dopamine that big bright lights give
The vault pass point is pretty dumb TBH no one is forcing you to do it, no one forces you to do side quests no one forces you to do challenges, and no one forces you to get achievements, extra side things you can do should not be a point against it because it gives you optional challenges for optional rewards that you MIGHT not want to do. Oh no, the separate challenge tab is forcing me to use a assault rifle and I don’t want to! guess I cant have fun now🤷♂️. Really sounds like a personal issue, my only issue with it is it has nothing I want to get so I’m just not gonna do it. Simple as.
Writing wise she is, she was written as an annoying child I don’t mind that cause she could be something great in the story, however how her role played out in that story was forced and rushed compared to any other character in the franchise.
I got into Borderlands through Tiny Tina's Wonderlands a year ago. My buddy bought it for me so we could Co-Op. Never thought I liked Looter Shooters. The Division 2 left a bad taste in my mouth so I never even tried Borderlands. I loved Wonderlands so I bought BL3 on sale... one of my favorite games all time. So much fun. It does everything right. The different charachter classes and 4 skill trees allow for endless build options. The weapons are fun, the enemies are fun. The maps are awesome. The side missions have variety. I love that the META isn't ONE specific build and arsenal. There are so many playstyle options and viable gear combos. Thats what bugged me about Destiny. Too much redundant grinding to get that ONE weapon you MUST have or you will be booted from every fire team. The only complaint I have with Borderlands 3 is the story and dialogue... its kinda lame and cringe at times. But who cares, the game is a blast. I do like Wonderlands better for the story campaign. I love the levels in that game, and dual class options. The Medieval setting with Borderlands weapons and combat.... chefs kiss. Goblins, pirates and skeletons > robots and meth heads, imho.
for anyone watching this clip and hopefully coming across this comment: don’t but it on series s. It’s an awful experience with crashes every hour or so and they never fixed it nor will. It’s still somewhat playable but its much more frustrating than it should for a $60 game.
I've never had any crashes and I've had the game since launch so when it got a series s update I put it on there and haven't had a single crash might just be you tbh🤷🏿♂️

You can very easily google “borderlands 3 series s crashing” and find hundreds if not thousands of other players having the same issue. Note that I bought Borderlands 3 during the first 2 months of owning my xbox, without having any other games crashing. I’ve had it for 2 years now :) And borderlands 3 is the only game that keeps doing this.

Modes like the Redux Mod are also worth looking at bc of new rarities and gear as well as a enemy rebalancing in endgame

People scared to admit that the ENDGAME replay loop is 10x better than bl2
I really enjoy this game especially after I downloaded a mod that allows you to change the spoken language while also keeping English subtitles😂 it’s better when I can’t understand what they are saying
I am spoiled after playing Witchfire on Steam. That shooting is amazing.
I discovered that they fixed voicechat button, so I can map reload on ESDF. So, I have a few hours of mindless shooting again.
I like BL3, but I think I like TTW even more - the writing and voice acting in TTW is so fun

after 5 years and 99% players are done with it.
Being a fan of Borderlands 2 ( 1021 hrs ) I can sum up the whole game as: Souless and annoyoing. They found a way to kill everything that made borderlands 2 a masterpiece or they replaced it with a washed down version of it. When it comes to the gameplay if you have done any raid boss farm on borderlands 2 this will feel EZ, like TVHM build on NM ez! MM kinda helps but also it still falls short if you compare end game to end game. Gunplay feels improved at first glance, theres variety, the feel is different from gun to gun, but for some reason theres not this sensation of run&gun, like it feels slugish in some way. The Ai is dumb, the loot tables are HUGE! like for me no more than 5 runs to get what I need, god rolls are a way to add artifitial friction to put some level of challenge on yourself but for the most part one and done when it comes to farming. All of this would it been ok if the main story was any good, but it aint, and I truly believe thats were the main focus should've been, thats what made Borderlands stand out to begin with, they obviously couldnt get to Handsome Jack level with the baddies, that was kinda imposible, but they just dropped the ball so incredible hard on that department that the only reasson to kill them is that they are jus ANNOYING! Dont get me wrong Borderlands 2 has a lot of things you might not enjoy, but the story, the antagonist, the characters, the jokes and the overall tone of the humor on the game is just so increibly perfect, It just has so much replay value, and thats what Borderlands 3 lacks.
Is a 6/10 for me, but hey, if is your first time in the Borderlands just go for it! Im sure youll find something to enjoy! Tho, if you really want to experience the borderlands on its peak, then go get Borderlands 2!
I’m actually different. Played both many times. Prefer 3 over 2 by a long run. Story? No. But gameplay feels way better in 3 and if you get both season passes, there’s tone of content. In both games. But I’m a gameplay guy, and the gameplay feels way better in 3

If you end up playing a game for that long then $20-100 really won’t make a difference. You can work one day at work and pay for it and you’ll get years of gameplay. Money doesn’t matter when talking about what game is better. I’m talking about the game itself

Also the solution for the lackluster endgame is paying more, it's not better and is not just the story, is about the game as whole, in that regard 3 falls short. In the story department it falls short, in the character development it falls short, the end game falls short. The only real improvements done, gameplay wise are, vaulting, and teleporting, other than that is shit compared to 2, and if it was the other way around maybe TTAODK would it been any good but it ain't

For me it's one of my best games of all time. So many play throughs that i love the story now LOL. I mean c'mon the bad guys are like Pokimane an Dr. Disrespect. No seriously tho besides them being annoying it was such an insane premise with the Galactic streamers being the bad guys. Farming all the epic bosses for best legendary's.
PC - there are certain areas that always crash on me hard. Maya mission with the vehicle until we meet the eridian. Eden 6 is bad too. Jacobs estate was bad until I made it inside the mansion. I thought it was my computer but I've seen that a lot of people crash on their too. And Gearbox never addressed this. 🙄
More RAM or better video card

anyone have problems playing multiplayer with friends? I lower all my setting and it still stuttering when I play with my friend and same when my friend joined me but we can play alone with no lags.
my dude you can sell everyting with one button without even opening the vender, M11 is the only lvl oyu should play on. and you had a whole 2 game grashes that must have been so hard to deal with hell i would have just tossed the xbox out the window......
Just play tiny Tina's wonderlands. They kept all the gun play and put it in a story that doesn't make you want to rip your ears out when the antagonist talks.
The Calypsos are annoying, the first vault hunter was disappointing and a couple plot points didn't make much sense with him, the side characters choices didn't make any sense, I hated the side characters as much as the Calypsos. Character development felt forced or out of place.
So you want people to play a game with probably the worst endgame I’ve ever seen instead of a game with the best just because of the story? Pretty stupid if you ask me. If anyone’s reading this don’t listen to him. Yes the story sucks in 3 so what? You have slaughter shafts, takedowns, a classic raid, seasonal content you can activate anytime you want, trials and some of the best dlc I’ve ever played. Don’t listen to a guy with malice they’ll do anything to take potshots at whatever they hate even if it comes at the expense of your enjoyment.
I mean waiting to reach end game to enjoy a game is bad design. Borderlands 3 has lifeless level design, boring quests, sponges enemies. Sure the end game content seems good but after 7h of going around in empty levels to go do quests which most parts are garbage and designed poorly never made me want to go to endgame.
So he wants people to play a game that has enjoyable content from the get go and doesn't require you to slog through in order to get enjoyment. Yes wonderlands endgame sucks but the base game is more fun, the level design is better, the world nicer. So what is stupid is telling people to endure the game in order to reach the better content. That is bad video game design. It's insane to see gamers defend that. Wonderlands is the better game hands down. Chaos chamber aren't bad. Borderlands 3 is a drag with the outdated philosophy. If you had said borderlands 2 I would totally agree. So yeah some gamers don't hate for hating they actually enjoy content differently.

Where getting to max level is a chore, there’s no point in op levels since all you gotta do is get to level 62 now and you’ll still see white and greens like your level 1 even though you’re level 55 in uvhm.

@@natecoet3291 I’m not a guy who enjoys story in looter shooters I’m there for only one thing and a “cinematic heart tugging philosophical masterpiece in story” is not what I’m there for. I’m there for loot and bl3 has plenty of it and is not afraid to give it to me. Unlike in borderlands 2 where I could spend 2 hours straight killing tree ants for a bee sheild and getting nothing but junk.
Hey, my friends an I stopped at DLC2 when level cap was 57. We picked it up an going to play all the content. My question is are all my old Mayhem 10 guns from back when i was lv 57 no longer viable once I'm level 72? Just confused with all that
Yeah they aren't since the new cap is 72 and weapon stats keep increasing

Borderlands 3 endgame is significantly easier than Borderlands 2. And that's a good thing because BL2 is borderline impossible for anyone who isn't willing to sink thousands of hours into a single character.

I have the complete edition, with all dlc, i really like all characters and are all super strong, maybe Is the Director's cut that made all equal strong

The weapons balance is CRAP and the upgrading is INSNE in complexity. BL 2 was WAY WAY better!
When you run Zane only use one skill at the start because the second replaces your grenade and you don’t get enough skill points at the beginning to upgrade both using grenades is really strong early
As someone who's played this game since launch on different consoles, I honest to God play to do the story mode over and over again
Me and a friend have been replaying all the Borderlands games. We're playing BL3 again now. It's a good game, the gameplay itself being the best part. While the story is sh!t, it's at least an attempt at a story. I'm still bugged by the bullsh!t that Destiny pawned off on us. I started off with 1 of each character though I really did not play 2 of them at all, used the coopetition trick to level them up to max. Now, I'm wanting a secondary Zane build but I can't remember the details on saves. For some reason I remember there being only 4 available save slots, but nothing I see today suggests that that was a thing.
The looter shooter genre is fucked currently thanks to destiny going to shit (I'm glad i didnt invest into that game).
You're stuck between Borderlands with it's own issues, and Warframe which is missing the shiny drop dopamine that big bright lights give
The vault pass point is pretty dumb TBH no one is forcing you to do it, no one forces you to do side quests no one forces you to do challenges, and no one forces you to get achievements, extra side things you can do should not be a point against it because it gives you optional challenges for optional rewards that you MIGHT not want to do. Oh no, the separate challenge tab is forcing me to use a assault rifle and I don’t want to! guess I cant have fun now🤷♂️. Really sounds like a personal issue, my only issue with it is it has nothing I want to get so I’m just not gonna do it. Simple as.

Writing wise she is, she was written as an annoying child I don’t mind that cause she could be something great in the story, however how her role played out in that story was forced and rushed compared to any other character in the franchise.
I got into Borderlands through Tiny Tina's Wonderlands a year ago.
My buddy bought it for me so we could Co-Op.
Never thought I liked Looter Shooters. The Division 2 left a bad taste in my mouth so I never even tried Borderlands.
I loved Wonderlands so I bought BL3 on sale... one of my favorite games all time. So much fun.
It does everything right. The different charachter classes and 4 skill trees allow for endless build options. The weapons are fun, the enemies are fun. The maps are awesome. The side missions have variety. I love that the META isn't ONE specific build and arsenal. There are so many playstyle options and viable gear combos.
Thats what bugged me about Destiny. Too much redundant grinding to get that ONE weapon you MUST have or you will be booted from every fire team.
The only complaint I have with Borderlands 3 is the story and dialogue... its kinda lame and cringe at times.
But who cares, the game is a blast.
I do like Wonderlands better for the story campaign. I love the levels in that game, and dual class options. The Medieval setting with Borderlands weapons and combat.... chefs kiss.
Goblins, pirates and skeletons > robots and meth heads, imho.

for anyone watching this clip and hopefully coming across this comment: don’t but it on series s. It’s an awful experience with crashes every hour or so and they never fixed it nor will. It’s still somewhat playable but its much more frustrating than it should for a $60 game.
I've never had any crashes and I've had the game since launch so when it got a series s update I put it on there and haven't had a single crash might just be you tbh🤷🏿♂️

You can very easily google “borderlands 3 series s crashing” and find hundreds if not thousands of other players having the same issue. Note that I bought Borderlands 3 during the first 2 months of owning my xbox, without having any other games crashing. I’ve had it for 2 years now :) And borderlands 3 is the only game that keeps doing this.

Damn I feel so betrayed by them it's incredible, they did best girl Maya so dirty....BL3 was a mess overall, and it's a shame it's Maya's last appearance in the series, while she was so good in BL2 and the telltale one.
I'd give Borderlands 3 a skip and go to 2 instead. After playing 3, I wish I never would've purchased it.
