I have bought my last 3 vehicles the last week or day of the year with outstanding results, $12,000 off a new Ram Big Horn Edition (March), $5000 off a new Malibu, $6000 off my Hemi Challenger with 14K miles with 2.99% rate & $9000 off my new Maxima SV. It pays to be patient!
I bought a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon on December 28th, 2015. It was obviously the "old" Jeep on the lot because of the 2016 models available. So they dropped the price just slightly like you are mentioning. The advantage you forgot to mention was the mileage. The Jeep according to resale was a full-year-old even though it was still brand new. This means now that it is 2020 my total mileage for resale is lower than most other 2015 model vehicles.
looking to buy a wrangler with this same mentality. waiting for the new 21 year models to roll out to jump on and go at the end of the month this month or next.
Damn dude... love the content... ABSOLUTELY HATE DOUBLE ADS EVERY THREE MINUTES... I don’t mind two or three ads in a 15 minute video, but come on man.
he said whenever youre ready to buy a car is the time to buy a car. doesnt matter when, when you factor in depreciation. no real secrets revealed in this video, just some educational info.
your caption says "best time of year to buy a car" and all u kept saying there really is not a good time to buy a car. make zero sense for the title of this video
Most of this does make some kind of sense. I do agree on the "Do your research" bit on a new car. Look to see if the car is going to get / just went through a redesign or mid cycle refresh and decide for yourself whether spending the extra money to get the brand new model year is worth it. Or compromise and get last year's fully loaded trim (Where you're probably not missing all that much on the new model unless the car's getting a redesign next year) If you're looking at a last year's model car(As brand new), YOU are the one who usually holds the upper hand on the negotiating side. $1500 off is a starting point, but it depends on what kind of car you're getting too - It makes more sense to start negotiating $1500~2500 off a Toyota Corolla LE that stickers for $20k... Not so much if you're looking to get a luxury car or a pickup truck that stickers for $50k or more - that you probably want to start at more like $3000~5000 off sticker. It's the same with used cars too. Right now are cars from the previous generation hitting the dealer lots as people turn in their leases? That's usually the sweet spot if you're looking for a good bargain to get a used/certified car that doesn't have too many miles on it - and has already taken the initial depreciation hit. Yeah it's not new - but chances are if you're buying a used/certified car you weren't likely to go out and buy a new car anyways. DO YOUR RESEARCH!
The company I work for buys me a truck every 5 years always November 08 Ram 1500 sticker 37k 17 k off 2014 Ram 42k 8500 off 2019 52k 10 k off FYI the first 2 trucks are still running with over 250k on them
But Ben...I am in the market for a Tundra and almost wanted the TRD PRO but the price held me back a little while researched more. But at the end of last year I was seeing $5000.00+ off of some TRD Sport models and $4000+ off some Off Road models of the Tundra. I want that same deal but not seeing quite that good of discounts right now across the board. what do you think....I'm buying new because they used Tundra's 1-3 years old are priced too close to the new ones with incentives.
Can you comment on cars that have been on the lot for very long time, over 180 days, and taken for many many test drives and yet are still sold as new and somehow with very low mileage (like still showing 10 in the odometer)??? What’s the deal with that???
What about employee pricing? I know ram did it in the fall. Also how would special ordering during that time work? Would you get employee pricing at the time you order or does the vehicle need to be delivered?
Keith Collins from my understanding any incentives only take affect when the vehicle is delivered. So if you order during “employee pricing” time and it arrives after that time than you don’t get it. Then again I was told this buy a dealer and sense they can’t be trusted... 🤷🏻♂️. Someone correct me if I’m wrong please.

what do you mean "(March)"
@@jesseaharris That was the only vehicle not bought in late December, it was a special dealership incentive in March of 2008.

Sorry if already mentioned, but the 1 yr older model Year is a lot cheaper when it comes to excise tax.
How about a video about dealers with “no-haggle” pricing?
Is it really “no-haggle”?
👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Ben! Is truck month worth waiting for to buy a truck. I know Ram has one coming up in March/April.
UPS Lady a little extra rebate, but usually not a huge amount more
How do we find out how long a car has been on the lot ?
1500 depreciation are u kidding me more 5000 or more soon as drive off
ROCO ROCO think he meant 1500 more compared to a 2020
How can you afford to buy all of these cars?
Can you comment on cars that have been on the lot for very long time, over 180 days, and taken for many many test drives and yet are still sold as new and somehow with very low mileage (like still showing 10 in the odometer)??? What’s the deal with that???
tlosbarranqueros if it hasn’t been registered then it is new

LEASE a leftover, you’re still getting brand new car, but better deal.
Having a car payment forever isn’t a deal lol
Why is this video 14m?
Are "truck months" a better time to buy then other months?
Depends, usually a little more discount, but not a ton more
what do they do with the vehicles that didnt sell? where are they?
firm believer depends on the dealership and brand
Is buying a used car worth it
Bryan B yes of course
Dear God.....there is no best time to buy new or used.....bLAH dude
Is it true that the dealerships try to clear out their inventory by January so they don't have to pay taxes on inventory?
December is the month
dude you have no clue ... for working in the car business
👍👍
Wow. You said absolutely nothing
