  • In this episode, the second of this series, we cover several mob hits that occurred in and around Philadelphia's Bruno Crime Family of LCN during the 1960's.
    Our goal of these episodes is to dispel the myth that Angelo Bruno-"The Docile Don"-was a non-violent Boss. In fact, evidence will show that he likely handed down many hit contracts, which we will go over in detail over the course of Volumes I and beyond.
    For Cosa Nostra Bosses in this era, ordering hits was standard operating procedure and could not be avoided. While we will cover many slayings during the "Hits" episodes, in this particular video we talk about the following gangland murders:
    00:00 Start
    01:17 Opening Remarks
    04:33 The "Whispers" DiTullio Hit (Prior to 1966)
    33:23 The Alberto Galante Hit (1964)
    46:17 The William "Willie" Sears Hit (1964)
    51:19 The Robert "Bobby" Bennett Hit (1964)
    57:30 Closing Remarks
    The next episode will detail two hits that took place during the 1960's over control of Teamsters Local 107 in what was considered to be the Philadelphia mob's "Golden Era."

      @@TheGanglandHistoryPodcastso are you man! I’m a proud Patreon member too, but I’m gonna watch this episode again! You’re right, Bruno was behind a lot of murders, he was just way more quiet about it, where Scarfo/Stanfa wanted everybody to know.

      I hope you enjoy it! If you're willing, I recommend jumping over to my Patreon as most episodes will live there (this one in particular will include movie footage which couldn't make it on RUclips). There will also be some exclusive stuff that only lives there. I've got some plans. In any event, thank you for your unwavering support!

    Great video! Very well researched and presented. One note, the blond babe mentioned in the FBI file regarding the 500 Club that you showed is almost certainly referencing Anthony "Blonde Babe" Pungitore Sr, a member and father of Joe and Anthony Pung Jr. members of Salvie Testas Young executioners crew active in the 80s during the rule of Nicky Scarfo.

    The blonde babe was actually a nickname for an old school Philly mobster that Phil Leonetti mentioned in mafia prince . That’s who they maybe talking about when it comes to the 500 club

      I apologize CC! I'm struggling to get the paperwork I need behind the scenes and am waiting on several FOIA requests to be fulfilled. I could probably move forward with educated guesses on some things, but I like to wait for the paperwork where I can get it. Hoping it won't be too much longer. I'd really like to finish that story.

    • @TheGanglandHistoryPodcast
      @TheGanglandHistoryPodcast  Месяц назад

      Hi James! The biggest thing at the moment is early access to all episodes. I'd also add that episodes like this one in particular have issues getting through RUclips's content filters and the version with movie clips can really exist only on Patreon where there are fewer restrictions. In the future, though my core content will stay on RUclips, I will be producing some Patreon-exclusive content. There is a little there at the moment, but there will be more as I have time. For now, that's about what I can keep up with, but eventually there will be more perks.
