Pay no attention to what some commentors say. We just want honest reactions to the music and performances. It is not surprising that you like Nightwish. Like you, Tuomas is a big fan of Hans Zimmer and movie soundtracks in general. Troy is playing an old traditional instrument called a low whistle or tin flute. You did a great job catching some of the small details. It is obvious to see that you appreciate this music. You had a smile on your face for the whole song. This is a great example of how diverse Nightwish' music is. They are considered a symphonic metal band, but this song has a beautiful soft and joyful vibe. It is not very metal, who else does this type of music in the metal genre? Loved your honest reaction my friend. Pay no heed to the idiots.

Nightwish have a way to transcend genre's and pull many people that usually would not listen to Rock/Metal, and make them fans. This is due to many factors but the composition of orchestral elements and the undeniable stage presence of the band is unmatched. Great reaction and just ignore the trolls, they are everywhere and don't deserve your time.

Troy was playing a Tin Whistle called a Low Whistle (iirc he has one in D and one in C) and also plays the smaller tin whistles, pipes, and bouzouki, as well as electric Guitar but normally with an E-bow.

My favorite part of this performance is towards the end when Floor goes over to Tuomas and sings the lyrics “grieving the saddest faces, conquering the darkest places’’ to him
This is especially important because this song immediately preceded “The Poet and the Pendulum”, which is a song that is very....emotional

I consider myself a hard-core fan and a member of the Nightwish Army and I would NEVER complain about someone exclaiming "I love this band"! So, just ignore the trolls and don't let them get you down. Also, I would agree with you that one of the things that make Nightwish so good is their tendency to mix in some folk-music in all the metal and symphonics. Poet and the Pendelum from Wembley 2015 (14 minutes and you need to read up on the backstory to understand the darkness. Short version: Tuomas and the others fired the original singer (a childhood friend) and he felt so bad about it. Also, he got a lot of hate from media, fans and even the President of Finland (!). He said in an interview he killed himself in the song so he didn't have to do it in the real world.. Note, this is the only suggestion I've made that will be blocked unless you pause it for a few seconds a couple of times. The song is divided into five parts, so it's easily done. LOL. Watch the interaction between Floor and Emppu beginning @3:56. Floor flinches a bit and looks behind as Emppu passes behind and gives her a touch. It's because Emppu like to disconnect her "inner ears" from the receiver pack on her back as a joke. You can see her left arm come down to make sure he's not down there messing with the pack. Her face is, "I'm on to you Emppu." This time Emppu was just giving her a tap on the shoulder; still messing with her head.

Just keep enjoying mate best band in the world at the moment with the best singer .Floor has some sort of spell casting ability a kind of X factor you just can't define not just the voice but a complete package , on stage she comes alive and transmits that out to the viewers .
you should add a new category in your ranking. "interacting with the audiance" for live versions you can set the 10p there constantainly for nightwish xD

What the trolls conveniently forget, is that not everyone who sees this will have seen you or the band before. Ideally, I think, each reaction should be treated as though the song, and the band to some degree, are new to you.

I wonder when you will get to the rest of "the great trio". You´ve heard Ghost Love Score, but there is still a 14 min song Poet and the Pendulum, and 20 min song The Greatest Show on Earth ("we were here" will appear here at a certain point). I recommend doing some research before plunging into them.

Infatuated with Floor? Aren't we all? She has a grace and spirit of joy that just shines through in every situation I've seen her in-from her performance, interviews, and her own personal channel. So many singers of today seem to feel that if they present an angsty, morose, or angry style they will be taken as serious artists. It's an affectation that is a real turn-off for me.
The only legacy mankind is making on this planet is a legacy of pain and suffering and the desecration of the planet Earth. How many species are extinct because of humans??
