*OOOOOP* HUNNIEEE THE TEA JUST GOT HOT🔥👀🍵 Edit: I've realized that in Proud Family Zoe is either supporting Penny or is on the fake friends side feeling kinda off about it sometimes. All of her friends are snakes but Zoe. We stan.
Zoe is not rude, but she is a follower. Every time LaCienega and Dijonay make fun of her, Zoe joins in. Whenever penny wants to make statement, Zoe goes with the majority not with what is right. She is not the worse friend but she is not a good friend either. Just because someone makes fun of your friend, doesn't mean you have to do it too. I feel as though she cares more about being accepted than being a nice friend.
Ngl it's kinda wild seeing a parody of James Charles, arguably the most cancellable beauty boy, and have him be voiced by Bretman Rock, arguably the least problematic beauty boy, in an episode that references cancel culture.
I think Zoey is scared of standing her ground, she always was even before this new show but she always stood up for Penny more than the others. Really hoping to see some character development from her and that she is finally able to realise she has no reason to continue being a follower.
I was talking to my friend about this as we were watching this episode last night. We were both just livid with Penny’s “friends” Like Penny is going out of her way to help them, when this James Charles look alike, was not only insulting them but scamming them. Instead of doing the same for her they laugh at her. Zoey … I’ll give a little credit for, her laugh seems more nervous than genuine, she looks uncomfortable to be honest. Also can we talk about the new girl and how hypocritical she is?! Like first episode she was flailing on Penny (and her “friends”) for how stuck up, superficial and whatever else they are. But here she is not only hanging with them like she’s part of the group she insulted and claims to not like- she was WILLING to cough up $500 to some stuck up influencer who insulted her ! Like what!?
Soooo while penny went overboard, but those friends were fake asf, the fact they sat there and laughed while makeup boy talked about penny but then got scared and wanted to make fun of her after she got canceled was fucked up
I feel like they kept her friends toxic because there going to address a really difficult situation alot of teens go though and that's needing to cut off an entire friend group because there all toxic. I had to do so.
Lmao y’all stay on the toxic friendships Penny has, but let’s not pretend it doesn’t mirror real life! In the black community in particular I notice toxic friendships daily. Insults and shade are seen as harmless jokes, when in reality it’s poor communication, insecurity, and envy. The Proud family is a mirror and always has been. Her funky friends wouldn’t be around to try her if there weren’t petty friendships in the black community to observe. Art imitates life.
Pennys “friends” are awful especially Dijonay cuz she is the “ima throw you under a bus and then ask if we still cool type of girl” and pennys bully(I can’t spell her name right also I’m not talking abt the gross sisters or maya) she was never pennys friend zoey is just a follower I mean she’s not ride tho and Michael he’s alright and maya is not even friends with them so why hang out with them? Who knows and penny in general idek(I don’t even know)
If they want to do cancel culture, they should have it be that Penny dad got a idea for a new Snack and get accused of "Cultural appropriation". Seam like most of the time someone get cancel is not because they are Jerk but some minor stuff that don't really matter.
Well, we should at least be a little happy they’re consistent with Penny’s friends being assholes to Penny. Really hoping Penny ends these damn "friendships" in this reboot.
I feel when the show was initially released mental health and toxicity weren't as serious of topics but let's see if the creators touched on it more in the reboot
I do like how they showed her friends not supporting her for this part, because it really adds to the fact at how confident and self-assured Penny is! I feel like this makes her so much more impactful to the audience! I do hope they address her friends later on though.
I have disliked Penny's friends since I was a kid watching the og series. But to some extent, I sort of appreciate their existence because the way they behave angers us. It angered me as a kid, and it taught me hey, I shouldn't be like that, and I don't want people in my life who are like that! It bugs me so much that Penny was/is treated like crap by them, but I am also thankful that I learned from them that I never want to be a Lasieniga/Dijoné/Zoey. (I truly don't know how to spell their names lmao) As my gramgram used to say, "we all have a purpose in life, even if it's just to serve as a bad example."
Maybe penny could shut the fuck up and not ambush her friends at the mall to retell them that she doesn't want the to follow or subscribe to an influencer they like.

Edit: I've realized that in Proud Family Zoe is either supporting Penny or is on the fake friends side feeling kinda off about it sometimes.
All of her friends are snakes but Zoe. We stan.
Goes to show you even your closest friends will do you wrong not everyone stays down %100.
@@kyacook5702 ..now hold up bc this is actually so true- I think I misunderstood her character a little bit-
I stand with Penny!
Same here
Penny: "Since when are overbaked boys the authority on the way girls should look?"
Ngl it's kinda wild seeing a parody of James Charles, arguably the most cancellable beauty boy, and have him be voiced by Bretman Rock, arguably the least problematic beauty boy, in an episode that references cancel culture.
I love how makeup boy is like a dreaded combo of Nikaido and james charles
Is it me or Zoey always seems to have Penny's side and even if she's laughing in this scene she still looks pretty guilty. Zoey4life 👍
Zoey is a follower. She should have stood her ground, and looked at them like, "Are you guys serious?"
She's dog crap. Not laughing as hard does not make her better or decent
I think Zoey is scared of standing her ground, she always was even before this new show but she always stood up for Penny more than the others. Really hoping to see some character development from her and that she is finally able to realise she has no reason to continue being a follower.
I was talking to my friend about this as we were watching this episode last night. We were both just livid with Penny’s “friends”
Like Penny is going out of her way to help them, when this James Charles look alike, was not only insulting them but scamming them.
Like what!?
Soooo while penny went overboard, but those friends were fake asf, the fact they sat there and laughed while makeup boy talked about penny but then got scared and wanted to make fun of her after she got canceled was fucked up
Can Penny finally call out her crew; they are genuinely the worst kind of friends. I hope they touch on this in the series.
Bruh, Penny needs new friends. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
I feel like they kept her friends toxic because there going to address a really difficult situation alot of teens go though and that's needing to cut off an entire friend group because there all toxic. I had to do so.
I hope they do! They didn’t address it really in the original so I hope they do it here.
Is it just me or does that makeup dude kinda reminds you of James Charles?
(that’s just my opinion)
Just your opinion
And half the comment section
Lmao y’all stay on the toxic friendships Penny has, but let’s not pretend it doesn’t mirror real life! In the black community in particular I notice toxic friendships daily. Insults and shade are seen as harmless jokes, when in reality it’s poor communication, insecurity, and envy. The Proud family is a mirror and always has been. Her funky friends wouldn’t be around to try her if there weren’t petty friendships in the black community to observe. Art imitates life.
no need to generalize
Though, I'm glad Penny cancelled Makeup Boy for good. If it wasn't for her, Makeup Boy would've gotten a lot worst.
Who knows and penny in general idek(I don’t even know)
Oh crap they ruined the show
Never thought James Charles was gonna be in this
Makeup Boy look like James Charles’ and Nickado Avacado’s offspring
Wow.
Penny may have hit below the belt.
But I'll be damed if she didn't hit well.
I’m really glad I didn’t have friends back in middle and high school.
He looks like a cross between James Charles and Nikocado Avocado
I mean she speaks facts I don’t see a flaw in judgement.
I for one hate cancel culture. I really REALLY do. But that dude needed to shut up
If they want to do cancel culture, they should have it be that Penny dad got a idea for a new Snack and get accused of "Cultural appropriation". Seam like most of the time someone get cancel is not because they are Jerk but some minor stuff that don't really matter.
“Father when can I leave to be on my owwwnn, I’ve got the whole world to see”
They made him look like James Charles!!
THATS EXACTLY WHAT I SAID!!! LOL!
It’s Breatmen rock
@@Jazzey4 The character is voiced by Bretman Rock but it is a parody of James Charles
Bretman Rock did such a great job voicing Makeup Boy! That snarky laugh is so satisfying
Makeup boy looks like James Charles crossed with nickacado
OMG IS THE VOICE ACTOR BRETMAN ROCKKK
This cartoon should have stayed dead. lol. Penny isn’t wrong though.
Well, we should at least be a little happy they’re consistent with Penny’s friends being assholes to Penny.
Really hoping Penny ends these damn "friendships" in this reboot.
Like… are they not gonna do an episode on how even 17 years later her friends are TRASH?? 🥲
0:35 even puff was shocked 😆
Bruh why do I think makeup boy is James charles. He looks kinda like James too lol
They don’t call Penny’s last family name ‘Proud’ for NOTHIN’, People!!!
PLS I KNEW THAT THE MAKEUP BOY WAS VOICED BY BRETMAN BECAUSE OF THE GAG HELP
Makeup Boy reminds me of James Charles idk why.🤣
Makeup boy reminds me of james charles
Well at least they kept Penny's friends being TERRIBLE!! Both loving and hating the consistency
I have to agree with Penny here. Makeup Boy looks like he used the trowel method of makeup application. It’s overdone!
Overdone?!!! Please. Tammi Faye Baker and Ronald McDonald have that natural look in comparison. Boy ain't made up. He's varnished.
@@issakelly8071 He looks like an old lady who thinks more makeup will make her look younger.
I love that they brought Bretman Rock onto the show. He did amazing
Sheesh no support for my girl, Penny 😡 even in the reboot her friends aren't very loyal.
I feel when the show was initially released mental health and toxicity weren't as serious of topics but let's see if the creators touched on it more in the reboot
Is that Bretman Rock??? As make up boy?? I haven't seen the episode
yup
I do like how they showed her friends not supporting her for this part, because it really adds to the fact at how confident and self-assured Penny is! I feel like this makes her so much more impactful to the audience! I do hope they address her friends later on though.
If this girl doesn’t find new friends on this reboot we’re going to have some problems
Also Makeup Boy turned out to be a groomer.
And that is how Penny Proud defeated James Charles.
Nah, this ain't it. Why do they have this stuff in a kids show. Tf is this.
Man penny needs some better friends, who laughs at their friend being publicly embarrassed
Maybe penny could shut the fuck up and not ambush her friends at the mall to retell them that she doesn't want the to follow or subscribe to an influencer they like.
James Charles really let himself go..
Penny Proud really threw the hammer down on Makeup Boy!!
Someone call the burn ward at the local ER because that is THIRD DEGREE!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It's all about how you angle it lmao
RUclips Star. Bretman Rock as Makeup Boy.
Incase anyone didn’t know.
Even woke girl laughing?
That’s the part that confused me as well, she was supposed to be this “woke” girl and she laughing more than zoey. Wtf
@@Dedego768 FRRR😭
That’s because Maya hates Penny. I guess it would be unrealistic if she suddenly liked her. 🤷♀️
@@moondivine2288 But as a woke person myself I don't want anyone's human rights to be trampled over even if they are my enemy.
@@Dedego768 Like back in my day girls of that type of character would be all against sexism even if it was aimed at their worst enemy.
