That all depends on what you think mainstream is though, I have never heard Joyner on the radio, but I have to add I don’t listen to the radio haha. I have never seen him on t.v. He doesn’t get recognized at award shows. He did have one Grammy nomination for Im not racist I think but other then that has never won an award. He has over 5 mil subs so I guess that is a lot but it isn’t close to most mainstream artists. He is independent and isn’t signed to major label so that makes me think he is underground. You could argue either way but I feel like he is more underground then mainstream.

I think that consistency is key. Joyner can always showcase the different levels of skill he can acquire, but his "lyrical genius" is not always prevalent in a lot of his newer work. And that might be because it's not his aim anymore, as he has the ear of the youth.
