Hi there! Still driving my 2012 Versa daily with 163000 miles. My left tail light blew out and I've been waiting a week for my son to stop by and replace it. Tonight I decided to look up a RUclips "how to" video and found this gem. 30 minutes later my light works perfect. Thank you so much! Sending you and yours positive thoughts to stay safe and healthy during these stressful times (coronavirus pandemic).
Never too late to learn how to maintain your vehicle. The problem is the misconception of working on cars being a man's job. My take on that is if you own a car you should understand how it works so when you're stuck on the side of the highway you can change a tire, add coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, change a belt out, etc. As opposed to waiting in -30 5 hours for CAA to arrive. I always tell people, just change your own oil and go from there. You might just get addicted to paying pennies on the dollar for routine maitenance and all of the sudden youl be fixing fender benders and doing your own brake jobs. Nothing beats fixing 2500 dollars worth of damage with 60 dollars in matching paint parts from the junkyard. Best feeling a car owner can get
Thank you so much, I couldn’t have done it without You. Your Video was super Helpful! I borrowed my friends daughters car. They said, “Oh by the way, driver’s side brake light is out” I watched your video 5 times, so i was crystal clear on how to do it. I went to Auto Zone in Dana Point. I had to borrow a 10mm wrench from Danny, buy a long 10mm socket to undo the other nut, the short socket didn’t work. Of coarse buy a new brake light bulb. Danny recommended putting a little grease on the metal sides of the bulb. Just like you said, “be careful not to drop the nut” The Job went silky smooth. 🥰
That was a good video! The only way you could have been more detail, specifying what socket for the brake, for the tail, and reverse, people could make mistake reassembling
drove around multiple months with no tail lights i even stop going out at night. this was so easy to do an litterally the replacment bulbs were 2$ i couldn't believe how easy it was got two tickets as well i cant believe ivr been so lazy an stupid deffently using youtube for rest of my life as a reference guide.
Awesome! Thank you. I removed these two bolts so I was on the right track. But the housing wouldn't come out so I thought maybe there was another bolt. I had to get a prybar and stick it in the top hole and tap the bolt backwards with a mallet and finally the housing came out.
Hey I know this is an older video, but my versa has the same setup, I was just curious if you knew which was the positive lead wire for the reverse light bulb? I've been looking all over so I can splice into it for a reverse cam
