I had a 2009 Silverado 5.3, I would go through an oil pressure sensor every 1-2 months. It would blow and leak oil out of the connector of the sensor. I used all different brands including OEM, Dorman, Ac Delco. Only thing I can think of is the high pressure relief valve in the oil pump was occasionally sticking to full pressure high and blowing it.

I've never seen that before, interesting. Especially considering there's another relief valve in the pump it's self.
