As a new convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I can say that I’m so grateful for all these wonderful, amazing and spiritual men in my life. We love and sustain you as our true living prophet of God the Eternal Father and His begotten son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. We love you President Nelson and thank you for sharing this beautiful message with us. Amen ♥️♥️
Thank you for you awesome comment! Welcome!
Is the love affair still there?
Sunday July 9, 2023 I need thee every hour….
Read the scriptures, pray, and follow the prophet. 🤟🏼😌
Joseph Smith was a freemason deceiver. Mormonism is false
i can't tell you what it means to me as a woman to know there are good men on this planet. Men who strive to live the commandments, and follow God. I know you aren't perfect but the fact that you try to do better than most men, means so very much to me. Hopefully you will be an example for more men. thank You.
Thanks sabrina yes we need good men and women on the earth . These days are very trying and in some ways traumatic but we need more and more good people on the earth have a great day and bless you for your goodness .
Amen to this 🙌🏼 I totally agree. Thank you for all you do to be the best men you can be! I sure am inspired and grateful for men and women who strive to be righteous. It makes the world a better place.
What a nice thing to say.
I went on many dates with priesthood-bearing men at BYU, many who claimed "You are meant to be my wife!" Come on. Priesthood is manipulated every single day.
Good priesthood bearing men like the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and others who see the need and do the work of helping other less committed brethren of the Church to return to active membership. ❤
I'm so grateful for my husband and the blessing of the priesthood. Priesthood blessings are so needed in my life. They always help me so much.
If that is not a true prophet of God, I don't know what is! Blessed is our dear President Nelson. There were so many great talks in the priesthood session that our sisters can learn from too. How can one not feel empowered when a prophet of God tells you to "Arise!" Wonderful counsel.
This was one of the most important talks on priesthood I had ever heard and represented a significant upgrade in my commitment to seeking to being taught by the Lord Himself. My temple attendance went from monthly to 4-5 times per week as I yearned for creating opportunities to be so taught.
Nice! Glad to see the impact it had on you.
😇🙏
I testify out of personal experience that Prieshood blessings come from Heavenly Father and are truly come out.

@@mikkifrompreston How would you know that they have not gone into hospitals to visit those desiring their selves to minister unto themselves? If you are not willing to observe to listen, and read about their General Conference talks then you are not able to become conscious of what they have been doing. Try it for several years, and I truly think to believe that you shall have the ability to understand a difference between those of the Quorum of Twelve and any other organization outside of this Restored Church of God!
I saw this live. It was President Nelson's first priesthood session talk as President of the church. It was very powerful, especially at the end with 20,000 priesthood holders singing.
So neat that you got to see it live!
Did you notice there are no more GC priesthood sessions? Too sexist for a church that must flex with a changing world. They just went away.
He called me to repentance. I need to remember the BLESSING part.
Great reminders!
Thank You President Nelson.
As a sister in Zion, I feel so PRIVILEGED to be a part of God's wonderful plan. I love/honor those who honor their priesthood, and exercise it to strengthen God's kingdom on Earth. By the way.. I LOVE that we have the most UNIFYING prophet in MY memory ♥ His dedication to our Lord Jesus Christ is PHENOMENAL! I'm grateful for his leadership chosen by God 💜🤍
Thank you Pres. Nelson! God bless you ALWAYS 💖
I.feel PRESIDENT NELSON IS A MAN OF GOD, I KNOW THE CHURCH IS TRUE. AMEN🙏
I am so happy to listen to your counsel President Nelson, we are chosen people to serve Him our Saviour and Redeemer. Thank you so much. We Thank Thee oh God for a Prophet. I learned a lot to his words of teaching and counsel. We love you President Nelson.
This was a very sacred video you chose to show again, all the faithful who watch this again are truly grateful to be reminded of so many things including that President Russell M. Nelson is the Lord's anointed Prophet on the earth today.
True! It's nice to be reminded every now and then of our sacred charge and great body of church members that are in this together.
"...think of your duty as God’s mighty army to help prepare the world for the Second Coming of the Lord. This is our charge. This is our privilege." - Russell M. Nelson
Angels of God currently encircle the Earth in preparation for the return of our Lord, Jesus Christ. There are many on the other side waiting for the call to to go forward into battle for the glorification of God and the salvation of His children.
Together side by side, Sisters and Brethren, Priesthood power and authority.
Amen to that ,🙏🙏🙏🙏
An amazing and spiritually moving moment as God’s presiding high priest called upon the priesthood of the earth to arise and recommit themselves to Christ! 💥
He never disappoints in his delivery. Thank you Prophet Nelson.
I remember when this happened, and I instructed my son who was a Priest at the time to stand, and then I stood when he said High Priest stand also, and we sang that glorious wonderful song the spirit bore witness to me that it was true everything the Prophet said was true.
Too many don't understand? None of us fully understands. But we can put our shoulders to the wheel and push. We can give love to those in need and show our love by word and deed.
I love the testimonial's they help us to understand in fact teach us how to use them to apply to our lives my life has been so turned around ❤
I am so grateful for the men that stay worthy to hold the Priesthood and to use it correctly.
After listening to his speech, if we go back and read and study the footnotes, it is amazing what he is truly teaching us!
Thank you Pres. Nelson, I needed to hear your words. May we all stand up and be the worthy priesthood holders the Lord wants us to be.
All priesthood brethren should review this talk before giving a blessing. Thank you for sharing.
I think we take a lot of things for granted in the church. I don't think good priesthood training is uniform across the board like it is in Utah or Idaho. There needs to be refresher "courses" for priesthood so they know all they can do for others.
@@mikkifrompreston Never said that. The church is organized correctly. There are some flaws at stake and ward levels that can be changed. They need to be trained properly. Priesthood holders who do not know how to bless a baby or cannot administer the sacrament correctly need help with retraining.

This talk is perfect, I cannot express the Joy I had when I stood as he called my respective office, even if I stood alone in my room years later, it seemed like angels stood up too.

Wow what mighty awesome power that is given to our Brethren in are church. What a call to arms. So uplifting, so moving, so motivating.
And to us sisters too!

What an amazing talk, and reminder to the men in the Church. Wish that all the men in the Church could watch this talk over and over and over again. Thank you, President Nelson. This was very powerful!
This message was so touching. I felt the spirit throughout the entire talk.We are so blessed to have the Priesthood of God among us.
I will never forget what an honor it was to stand as one holding the priesthood of God as President Nelson listed the different offices in both Priesthoods. I'm so glad I have taken that oath and covenant of said priesthood so that I may be sanctified by the Holy Spirit by magnifying my callings and obtain eternal life. By receiving His servants and His priesthood, we receive Him and become His elect. I love this doctrine. It can only be properly received by serving others and Him. We must stay close to Him by being worthy to receive promptings from the Holy Spirit and act on those promptings to magnify our callings to become more like Him as His servants.
What a great blessing to have President Nelson, explain and expand our knowledge about the Priesthood
Agreed, so neat!

Great timing to review this talk. I have learned so much about Priesthood power and authority this week studying section 84 and this is a great way to cap it off. When he first give this talk I didn't pick up on "so many men and women don't understand priesthood power and privilege " How he includes women. He has taught us so much!
Glad it was helpful!

@@mikkifrompreston Doctrine and Covenants section 42
@@mikkifrompreston This section teaches about some of the laws of prayer. One condition is that an individual must have faith in Jesus Christ and two it must be according to Gods will. I don't know how familiar you are with the bible, but Christ teaches these laws in there as well. To a lame man He commands to take up his bed and walk and adds thy faith hath made thee whole. He says this on other occasions when he heals other individuals as well. A blind man asks Jesus to make him whole. He sates to Jesus "If thou wilt thou canst make me whole" and Jesus says He will and does. On another occasion when when he is asked by a father to heal his daughter He first removes those that don't believe from the room and then heals her. (She was dead) Later the Pharisees ask Jesus who he is and during the conversation he states that he that is alive and believes in Him shall never taste death and those that believe in him that are dead shall live. While those who are alive, but believe not in him are dead already. Now an important part of answering your question is understanding the duality of what Christ is says and a correct understanding of The Atonement of Jesus Christ. This death of which he speaks is both spiritual and physical as is the conditions of being alive. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have a unique perspective on this that you can you read about in Doctrine and Covenants 138. Now I am eventually going to die because this life is meant to be temporary (2 Nephi 2) as is everybody else. Now how can I die with belief in Christ and still be alive? One of the central doctrines of Christ is the resurrection. Through Christ I can live again through the power of the resurrection. That takes care of Physical death. Now spiritual death is being separated for Gods presence which Christ can likewise overcome through the atonement He preformed. In the long run the only way to be alive is through Christ. In a resurrected body I will not have any deformities or age, but will have an eternal healthy body. This can only be seen if someone has an eternal mindset. What good will it do an individual if the a brought back to life multiple time in this probationary state and then have them just die in there sins? It won't do them much good in the eternal scheme of things. Now going back to the unique perspective I talked about from D&C 138. We learn that after an individual dies that there is much work to be done on there other side of the veil or in the spirit world. One reason that God may have someone not healed is so that they can begin to help him to work in the spirit world. I know that I gave you quiet a bit to read and will probably lead to other questions, but that's okay. Hopefully this will give you some answers and clarity.
@@mikkifrompreston One broad definition of the priesthood is God power. Another is: God's power and authority delegated to man for the benefit and salvation of his children. Doctrine and Covenants 84 & 107 talks quite a bit about the priesthood and it is talked about throughout the standard works. Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, etc. Miracles are done through the power of God though one may not necessarily need to be a priesthood holder to have a miracle such as such as healing happen. A talk by the Apostle Dallin H. Oaks called "Miracles" talks about this and the priesthood as well. So if you want some more clarity then read that talk. You may be asking then what good does being ordained to the priesthood do? and are there things that absolutely require that you to be ordained to the priesthood with which you cannot do without? The short answer to those questions is that there are some things that can be done with just Faith in Jesus Christ and others that require an individual to ordained to the priesthood. The doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teaches that an individual must baptized by one holding the authority of the priesthood and received all other necessary ordinances by that same authority. This is necessary in order to dwell in the Kingdom of God with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The Atonement of Jesus Christ has everything do with healing, salvation, priesthood etc. Of all the doctrines in the church The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the most vast. Again this is a lot of information and hopefully it helps.
@@mikkifrompreston The talk by Dallin H. Oaks goes into more detail then I did. As mentioned in his talk if you read it he states that their are blessings of healing that may happen without a priesthood holder. As mentioned in my previous comment an individual must receive what are called saving ordinances by an authorized priesthood holder. One of which you are probably familiar. That of being baptized. In later half of your comment you mention that Jesus Christ himself becomes the High priest which is true. We believe that Christ is as the head of the Church while our current prophet Russel M. Nelson his current mouthpiece upon the earth. It is true that Christ fulfilled the law of Moses and taught the higher way, however, another aspect in which which we differ from most Christians in is that of having modern prophets. The priesthood did not end after Christs death, but continued with Peter, James, and John, etc. until the great apostacy. Christ fulfilling the law of Moses is something the is of course talked about in the bible. It is also talked about in the Book of Mormon, however, I do not think I can summarize this subject which is talked about throughout the Book of Mormon. The scriptures are before you and you will find many of the answers your looking for in there. Latter Day Saints do not have a different priesthood, but the same. The only lens though which this can make sense is an understanding of the Restoration.
@@mikkifrompreston From your statement above it is obvious that you are not very familiar with the teachings of Jesus Christ as taught in the scriptures. As previously mentioned Christ fulfilled the law of Moses which was the lower law and revealed the higher law. Christ came not to destroy the law of Moses, but to fulfill it. One example of the higher law vs lower law is the commandment not to murder, but then Christ goes beyond that and says that you should not even be angry. With the seventh commandment of Thou shalt not commit adultery Christ teaches us that we should not even lust after someone in our heart. Of course as you mentioned some rituals were done away, but then they were replaced with other ones. Most notably the offering of animals which were in similitude of the great and last sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Before His death Christ institutes the sacrament or what most other Christians call communion. They are to partake of it in remembrance of Jesus Christ. Christ says you shall no longer offer the sacrifices of animals, but of a broken heart and a contrite spirit. As I mentioned earlier Christ did not do away with the priesthood nor his commission to the twelve apostles to go forth and baptize in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost. I would read the Book of Mormon if you want a fuller understanding of how Latter Day Saints view Christ's commission to go forth and baptize, etc.
Amen!!!

This is so sad it makes me feel like a child that dropped their ice cream cone. I am so grateful President Nelson is helping us prevent the waste of the power and authority God has entrusted us with.

Missed opportunity to bless child at 4:43. This is also a reflection of the lack of proper priesthood training in many stakes. Members need to be trained in all the possibilities people have to use the priesthood in their lives.
True. Better training could happen in stakes, wards, quorums, and homes. Sometimes we assume people know how to do it.
Scott Brandon: You could be correct about further training being needed, although I think most of us know how they are done. There is at least one more factor to consider here, which could be actionable:
I’m sure we all remember what it is to have a colicky baby who doesn’t sleep much, but sure does cry around the clock for the first 8-10 months of his life, napping for only 10-20 minutes at a time himself; if we add a case of postpartum depression to that, and perhaps in that same family, a very active “older” sibling or two, who are just toddlers themselves, and who would prevent parents from being able to rest when the baby sleeps, it’s not hard to see how even something as important as a blessing could be missed in that father’s exhaustion. What new parent doesn’t know that intense exhaustion that has him/her pushing through life on auto pilot, in pure survival mode?
Perhaps then, it would be a really appropriate course of action to remember how utterly exhausted new parents (and assisting adults) are, and to have a couple of that new father’s best friends from the elders quorum, who are better rested, sit with him and discuss/review right beforehand, and even whisper a single word of reminder in the appropriate moment, if it looks as though he’s about to let that moment pass without pronouncing that blessing?
Wow, just wow!!

While I was extremely grateful for this talk and think it was badly needed, I am somewhat disappointed and concerned at the "rebuke" considering these facts:
1. The Church eliminated teaching from the old Priesthood manuals, which contained many great lessons on being a priesthood leader in the home, instructions on priesthood responsibilities, lessons on priesthood ordinances, etc.
2. They replaced those manuals with the Teachings of the Prophets in which priesthood topics were only covered a few times a year - if that.
3. Then we started alternating lessons mixed with General Conference talks, which only covered some priesthood trainings and instructions.
4. Then we again limited any priesthood instructions/lessons with the Come Follow Me - any priesthood lessons were covered only as related scriptures were presented
5. Then priesthood lessons were further limited with the 2 hour block in which Gen Conference talks are every other week - with the occasional talk on Priesthood
6. In recent conferences, most talks on the Priesthood are directed to the Sisters.
It is, therefore, not surprising that too many (brethren) don't fully understand the concept of Priesthood power and authority, and that some lack the understanding on how to perform Priesthood ordinances. These things are rarely taught and discussed in our quorums. So the last 15 years or so have seen a drastic decline in understanding the Priesthood.
Another mind blowing fact - In the Audiences section of the Gospel Library app, there is hardly anything for the Men of the Church - while the Sister's section has a lot of great resources - including lots of instruction on the Priesthood. Just sayin' ...
I like your observations.
Please send your great comments to the Presidency and Quarum of the 12 and Relief society leaders.
Another consideration is that as these changes have been made over the last 15 years, more and more members of the Church, both men and women, have had access and learning about the power of the priesthood. Administration in the priesthood is only a part, an appendage, to the Oath and Covenant of the Priesthood.
@@pumkenheim I partially and respectfully disagree. It is true that more learning and access to Priesthood power is occurring now than previously. But it's more understanding and power on the part of our sisters in the Church and only in the past 2-3 years with many of these recent talks directed to them - not the past 15 years. The last time my ward's Elder's Quorum had an impactful discussion on Priesthood power was not too long after the April 2016 General Conference in which President (of the Quorum of the Twelve) Nelson gave his fabulous talk, "The Price of Priesthood Power". It was a great discussion, but then silence. No follow-up. No trainings. Nothing. Because of what I had already stated - the Church's class/quorum curriculum doesn't allow for this. So while access to learning may be available, the deeper understanding and more powerful application is lacking simply because we don't talk about priesthood power or the Oath and Covenant of the Priesthood in quorum meetings, nor do we discuss how we can use our Priesthood power to bless the lives of our own families or Ministering families.
In this day and age, we really need to have greater emphasis on these important topics in our Quorums and it simply isn't happening. And that really concerns me.
@@sandrawhite3851 I've thought about it.
Great talk❤
Can i offer priesthood blessings even they dont ask for it? Can i offer also to those who are not members of our faith? I appreciate your answers. Thanks
As the Spirit directs, most absolutely.
Invitations are a great way.
Would you like a blessing? -to a member of the church
Would you like to know what a priesthood blessing is? In the church of Jesus Christ it means…
Would you like one? ~to a person not of our faith
I have learned that you may offer a blessing based on YOUR faith even if theirs is weak! “ May I give -offer- you a blessing “? A sweet teaching opportunity may arise as well.
I love the the Lord for his trust in us to use His power to lift and bless mankind!
What did Christ do?
Yes, and Yes
So true, I had one hometeacher show up sweaty, unshaven, in a torn t-shirt and jogging pants, then asked me, the mother of a severely disabled son, if I pray??!! I showed his audacious derriere off my property, with a call to repentance. For MY audacity, I had to tolerate baloney from his wife.....the relief society president and ward gossip. No thank you!
Great talk about priesthood powers and how to use it
Yes, it really is!
A preist is a Levite temple worker, all others claiming to be preists are false teachers, especially if called "father" (see Mt. 23:9). Those who argue against this Scriptural fact will no doubt argue with Jesus in the second judgment as foretold in Mt.7:21-23.
Truly, "There is a way that seems right unto man but the end thereof is [second] death" (Pr.).
How come this guy is not hanging out at the hospital blessing all of those COVID patients?
The priesthood isn’t something to solicit. If you believe in the scriptures, you will see an example that’s similar:
Numbers 21
“8 And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.”
In this example, those who looked, were saved. It may seem crazy to think “well, why wouldn’t everyone just look?” And the reality is that because of the hardness of people’s hearts, they bitterly refuse to look.
The same goes for blessings. Blessings require Faith from both the recipient and the one performing the blessing. Soliciting blessings often does not invoke Faith, but rather a “well, why not” and even at times a “no”.
Unfortunately, Faith is lacking in society today, which makes solicitation of blessings simply ineffective and potentially degrades our perception of this Holy Power.
Similarly, in 2 Kings:
“10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the Lord his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.”
The commandment to go and wash seven times was similarly to represent and show Faith by causing one to act in Faith. Verse 11 displays how Naaman was wroth because he simply wanted the Power of God to heal him straight away.
Is it True that the priesthood restoration story was backdated years and there are no contemporary records of when it actually happened? Also, is it true there’s no exact date of when the high priesthood was restored? I heard that from my brother who is questioning The Church. Anybody here knows the answer. I’m a member from Latin America. Thanks
There is no recorded date of the visit from Peter, James, and John.
As for the restoration story being backdated? I've never heard that.
It is June 9, 1829 when Melchizedek Priesthood was restored
Jesus calls all Believers to be priests.
Behold, the whited sepulchers sitting in the high seats basking in the member's worship. The time for honoring themselves will soon be at an end...
There is no such position in the NT church as a leadership position of priest or priesthood. There is not one place I'm all of the NT church where Jesus or any apostle EVER mentioned, taught or set up a leadership office of priest or priesthood in the NT church. Scripture does however Teach Christian are priest and not just that Christians are a royal priesthood unto God.
Revelation 1:6
1 Peter 2
How can devotion to men be equated with devotion to God .....Is religion a shell game ?
Good question
If they really did have devotion to the lord, they wouldnt be there.
While you may be ordained to the Priesthood and given authority to serve in the church, power in the Priesthood comes only from God, and we must always acknowledge this before invoking this power.
D&C 121:37 That they may be conferred upon us, it is true; (ordination)
but when we undertake to cover our sins, or to gratify our pride, our vain ambition, or to exercise control or dominion or compulsion upon the souls of the children of men, in any degree of unrighteousness, behold, the heavens withdraw themselves; the Spirit of the Lord is grieved;
and when it is withdrawn, Amen to the priesthood or the authority of that man. (power)
We know that Jesus is the High priest and He is enough, we do not need a priesthood, Jesus is our Priest, He is our mediator, this is biblical, Mormonism is not biblical, nowhere in the bible does it say Mormonism has the priesthood.

Here are a few scriptures you can ponder over:
D&C 76
“25 And this we saw also, and bear record, that an angel of God who was in authority in the presence of God, who rebelled against the Only Begotten Son whom the Father loved and who was in the bosom of the Father, was thrust down from the presence of God and the Son,
26 And was called Perdition, for the heavens wept over him-he was Lucifer, a son of the morning.
27 And we beheld, and lo, he is fallen! is fallen, even a son of the morning!
28 And while we were yet in the Spirit, the Lord commanded us that we should write the vision; for we beheld Satan, that old serpent, even the devil, who rebelled against God, and sought to take the kingdom of our God and his Christ-
29 Wherefore, he maketh war with the saints of God, and encompasseth them round about.”
In the Bible, the only time the name “Lucifer” was referenced was in Isaiah chapter 14 verse 12:
“12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”
If “even the son of the morning” could fall, it is a stark warning to all of us to no rebel against God’s teachings.
While it’s important to seek truth, I think the most helpful thing I have found to guide me through all of the differing opinions is: “do I feel contention within myself towards an opinion?”
It would be quite hard to “hear” God if we refuse to listen. The best way I have found in myself to know whether I’m truly listening or not, is “am I angry, upset, bitter, confrontational, etc?” If I find the answer to be yes, I know that I’m not standing with Christ, as He is the Prince of Peace and commanded us to “turn the other cheek”.
Jesus is God in the flesh. Satan was a creating being so they cannot be brothers. Another proof that Mormonism is false.
