Meryem is beautiful. Here, she reminds me of both Gillian Anderson and Charlize Theron, she is a mix of two of them. Still, I love Hurrem's look when she married Suleyman, that smoky makeup on eyes and the crown the most. Beautiful beyond the imaginable.
Given the circumstances saying that of her comes off as victim blaming honestly. Given the abuse dynamic at play. 'Why wasn't the traumatised and enslaved girl nicer to her abusers?'
@@hurremsultanas as far as I know ibrahim was also a slave/victim and so was every concubine. According to your own logic mahidevran was also a victim cause she was a slave and therefore can kill and murder everyone she likes
@@tanjaceren984 You're completely missing the point that I made in order to obfuscate the discussion. They are all victims in their way. But Hürrem was the one who never got the protection or support from the family. And she certainly was no worse than either of them. There is a specific abuse dynamic at play with her. You can't blame her for making enemies when they all mistreated her from day one.
@@hurremsultanas Exactly this. No one should try to claim that those enslaved into the empire weren't victims of that system, but that doesn't mean all characters received equal treatment. Mahidevran received a level of a specialized protection that Hürrem was forever denied and Ibrahim, more often than not, was shielded from the consquences of his actions simply for being a man, in comparison to both Mahidevran _and_ Hürrem.

The most evil woman I've ever seen...In the end all this war in vain ...her heart smashed in pieces because of the death of her sons...I would like her to be alive to see the result of her job...the most valuable princes were gone and it remained the most miserable and drunk and idiot of the dynasty...
Blah blah blah...Hürrem always with one "Sehzade Mustafa" and "Ibrahim Pasha" under her tongue! If she had the same curiosity for Selim and Bayezid, they wouldn't become enemies!
In the beginning hurrem is looking at herself like : gurl u eat! Hurrem is sooo prettyyyy !
It's annoying how only Aybige was the only one who made her own mind up about Hurrem. Shah & Fatma turned up with their already biased opinions.

Shah started it. She threw the first stone. Hurrem sultan did nothing to her.
" He turned everyone into his enemy"- are you talking about yourself hurrem?

She did everything someone could reasonably do for Selim and Bayezid if you ask me. They just feuded anyway which is on them.
