I love this video and I could relate...because my daughter felt like I wouldn't accept her coming out but i did accepted her cause at the end of the day no religion nothing could make me turn my back on my child that I gave birth to...i rather see her happy then depressed...so i really did love hearing u ladies story
Jeannine johnson oh you are the same with my parents. My mother said that we only lived once and why not im not going give my daughter wants and being herself and no matter what happens you are still my daughter. I was so touched about my mother said to me.
Omg you guys remind me of my wife and I. We've been together since 2006 and are from the bay as well (I even think we may know some of the same ppl; according to IG). But you're so on point about the respect for elders in our culture.. luckily my parents are young and were hella accepting while my wife has more traditional parents. Props to you ladies for sharing your story! We have twins too..and yours are adorbs!!! You should do a video about your TTC process and how you went about choosing a donor. 😃
Bo0cupcake haha I remember you on IG! ( it’s me Kaycee currently ) we share similar stories! It’s crazy. I’m curious who you know in the bay. We will for sure do a video of our process! Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for sharing this!! You've inspired me to live my truth in an unapologetic (but RESPECTFUL) way :) Your stories really helped me because my extended family don't know about my girlfriend and I always tell myself that if they ask, I'll tell them, but then again I don't know whether the fear will kick in and I'll freeze (its happened before in front of friends). However, both of you have just reminded me (through our very similar-sounding families :'D) that fear shouldn't stop me from being who I am. Thank you
Rachel Pinto it feels good to hear that a simple video of us sharing our story, inspires people like you. It will feel like such a relief once you do, please update us when you do, we would love to hear it! . Thank you so much for the support! ❤️🥰
Dude, as a filipino American, I 100% agree to everything about coming out. It was super hard to come out just because of the culture. I was the most scared to come out to my older sister though cuz she expressed some negative views about the LGBTQ+ community. When I came out to her at the beginning she wasn't the most acceptive, but then finally warmed up. My mom was accepting and said she knew, but she's also the same about not me "flaunting" it because of the gossipy nature of the culture. I haven't come out to my dad cuz he's also not in my life and for the rest of my extended family, I'm not close with them and I feel like it's none of their business anyway. They're all tsimosas too. Lol
Acquazy Ah so many similarities to our story. We’re glad to hear your sister and mom accept it. We would love to hear how it goes with your dad if ever you decide to let him know :) Thank you again for watching and the support!
I love this you’re so honest and mothers seem to know stuff, and I just love your coming out. I just love watching your videos you make my day always better thank you
You’ve probably just helped thousands of young people,so well done. I wish you both all the happiness in the world. P.S, I’m not Catholic!! 🤔 Well done.
Thank you for sharing! I like the fact that you are respectful & understanding towards the filipino culture & also living your freakin best life. Cudos :) May forever pala :)
Y’all I know exactly what y’all went thru I’m Filipino American and when I came out shoot it was difficult but they do gossip a ton! Love in support you guys from h-town!
Nice video lovely ladies... Am watching from far away...a country called Kenya, Africa. Happy to hear that you don't face hate and discrimination like we do here in my country, it's quite refreshing. Video request; Please do like 5 things you admire about each other and 5 things that annoy you about each other... that would be interesting ;)
Moh_ Thank you for watching our video and taking the comment! 💕 We understand how lucky we are. We hope that one day everyone everywhere can love without hate or discrimination 🙏🏼 Also, those are perfect video ideas those will be next on our list :)
Kim and kaycee.ihave just watched how we met and i was glad you let people know iam going to watch your video of coming out if it is anything like how we met i will be happy for you ate you married and do you have any children yet i hope you are happy with rach other i am not raciist i am glad for you.,
Such a cute couple, best wishes for your channel! This is interesting because a (very Catholic and liberal) filipina I dated claimed it was the opposite - gays were loved in her country and supposedly it is ranked well in Asia in tolerance. But yeah the religious aspect - it would definitely be a taboo.
That Guy I wouldn’t say she’s completely wrong, but it’s more the gay/ lesbian celebrities that are celebrated; however if it’s their own family member that’s gay then it’s a different story :/ Anyways, thank you for the best wishes! We appreciate it :)
im not going to come out im just waiting for my family to ask me and until now its been 5 years nobodys asking me about my bestfriend my goodness im giving them all the hint still deadma.
Same we you guys, I never came out to my parents. I just bring girls at home and my parents just accepted it. Everytime I had a break up, my mom always told me "Hanap ka nalang ibang kaibigan." Alright. Filipino mom rocks!!!
How did you get married in the Philippines if it's not legal? I think it's a tragedy that countries still do not recognize that love is love. All the best to you and thanks for your example of considered bravery.
Peter Bitzer I’m sorry for the misunderstanding, we are Filipino, but not from the Philippines! 😆 I totally agree with you though, we can only hope for the better and hope that all changes one day! 😊
I agree what you guys were saying about Filipinos and the Philippines views on same sex relationships. But I think the Philippines is headed the right way slowly.. they now have Manila Pride which thousands attend despite it being controversial. Yes same sex marriage is illegal but they do have a couple churches that will perform same sex civil unions. I guess that’s a start lol. Out athletes like Jema and Deanna who are professional volleyball players there are examples of the younger generation being brave and it’s nice to see that they have been embraced nicely by our conservative country. They also have a RUclips vlog please subscribe to them 😊 thanks for sharing your stories.
Haha I know, we’ve been super busy! We actually had a video ready but it got deleted as we were trying to upload onto our computer 😫but hopefully soon!

@@kimandkaycee that's the good thing about it. It doesn't matter how the society treat us. Especially here in the Philippines.

Filipinos accept gays and lesbians, just not those who are actually part of their family lol. That’s forbidden.
Sad but true.
