Fun fact: Mia (Monica Calhoun) asked to be "killed off" because she decided to give up acting to be a full time care taker for her disabled son. She felt it was only right that the person who takes care of him is his mother. So the writers rewrote the script. I wish I knew what the original script and story for this sequel was. Mia was the glue to this whole story. 🤗🤗😍😍
Yayyy finally!!!! Another recommendation for a rom-com ensemble cast is Think Like A Man 1 & 2. It has Kevin Hart, Taraji, Michael Ealy, Meghan Good etc.
@kikipie1230 I can't believe it's been out for 2 years! I just found that out while watching this reaction. Why has nobody been talking about it? I had to tell all my friends about it and they are the ones who stay on top of pop culture
😂😂😂😂 Okay? The way his manhood has to be SO secure for him to even say that is INSANE! I've never her a a guy admit no sh*t like that and I can't even be mad about it. Michael Ealy is indeed a very a beautiful man.
Remember, Mia created the itinerary, so she probably got the outfits together for their dance performance, which they most likely originally did in college. That New Edition song was very popular, and still is; they were one of the first Black boy bands (after the Jackson 5), so it was also paying homage to them. It was a fun little moment to get them all to loosen up and reconnect. Also, fun fact: Terrence Howard played a teenage Jackie Jackson in the miniseries "The Jackson 5: An American Dream." You can see why he's killing it with his dance moves; this biopic is a great watch, too.
Respectfully, if you don’t do “Last Holiday” during this holiday season, I will cry, in fact, I will bawl 😭 It’s my all time favourite movie please please please
I believe these are pre-recorded. They said in another video that would be the last one they record for this year, Michael just had a baby, but they will be releasing what they already watched.

Yesssss been hoping yall would watch this for the holidays 🥰 They made this movie 14 years after the first one. The demand for it had always been high, and the fact that every single cast member signed on, even though many of them had become big names by that point, is so special to the black culture.
1:07:12- I lost my dad almost 3 years ago. The casket being lowered into the ground was definitely the "OMG, he's really gone" moment for me. That is an unbearable pain. I'm glad this movie came out before he passed.
It’s the most gut wrenching feeling, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve been grieving since February and see the casket going down had such finality to every memory and special time. Hugs
Lost my mom in Feb '21 and i can honestly say sitting in that front when they close the casket i thought was the hardest, but when she was lowered into the ground it felt my entire world and heart just stopped.
Lost my dad 6 years ago now. He was cremated and I was living in a different state. So, I had talked to him on the phone days prior, found out he died, then at his funeral only saw an urn containing his ashes. There was no cemetery part of that funeral. I still feel like he's going to call me any day now.
I normally have strong feelings about people "outside" of the culture.. watching movies deeply personal to the culture. You two are the absolute exceptions to my feelings about that. The approach that you take to understanding our experiences through watching our movies VERSUS being dismissive which too many commentators are..is respected and most importantly.. appreciated. The Best Man franchise is one of those "gems" in the black community. We have grown up with the cast. Please watch the final installment which came out a couple of years ago ties everything together as well as introduces issues relevant to where the characters are in their lives. It's an EXCELLENT watch and a must see after watching the Best Man Holiday!!! Keep up the excellent work and thank you again for doing what so few do ... Understand.
Exactly, I am protective of our classics. I see some reviewers do it for bandwagon, trends, and views. Not even trying to know the culture or understand, and we see all up and through their BS. We can tell the first minutes that some of the reviewers are on BS. I had to watch Jaby and Michael, and they seemed genuine and trying to learn references to other black movies.
“This Christmas” 🎄 is a good one!! Trust me! Just a feel good family movie! Not too deep/dark! They looked like they just had fun and enjoyed themselves on that set!
This movie is my go-to when I need a good cry. I’ve seen it at least 10+ times; without fail, I lose my shit 😭 I enjoy this one as much as the first one because I can never get enough of seeing these actors.

It’s the way I RAN to this reaction!!! This is one of the movies that definitely hold up as we continue in adulthood. I know you all don’t do alot of series, but “The Best Man: Final Chapters” is worth it! Also, someone mentioned previously in the comments before to consider “Why Do Fools Fall in Love” and I REALLY need you all to consider that. I said it before, but I love that you all are doing Black movies! Thanks for the love❤
Although it isn’t a Christmas movie, Dreamgirls is one of my favorite adaptations of the musical from 1983 (Gen Z kid speaking) It features Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, Anika Noni Rose, Beyonce, and introduces Jennifer Hudson. I highly recommend it, it’s a musical btw so expect a lot of singing😂 The Director’s cut is the recommended version.
I love all the duos on this channel but Michael and Jaby are by far my favorites. It’s like I’m watching a movie with my friends lol. Thank you for exploring these films, being honest and kind with the reactions, and listening to our requests.
This was the PERFECT selection to cleanse their palette from the For Colored Girls review. I was expecting them to take more time off after that one b/c that movie is sooooo heavy.
38:12 I always thought it was weird that Robin was so insecure & cold where Jordan was concerned but was so unbothered & warm with Mia who actually DID sleep with Harp.
@roselynholloway7863 I think she held onto the resentment from Harp's character slept with the Jordan character in the book & even after the truth was revealed & she knew he really slept with Mia, she stay hating on Jordan.
I think it's because he slept with Mia back in college. Long before she met Harper and the book made it clear why the hook up happened. Mia is obviously head over heels for her own husband. Just no reason to hate her. But Jordan...Harper was prepared to cheat on her with Jordan that very weekend. Harper didn't want Robin to even come on the hang out weekend.

I would love to see them review “Waiting to exhale”. Such a classic ✨
Soul Food, Boomerang, Harlem Nights ❤
YES!!! I've been waiting for this one. I already know it's going to be a great reaction. As a New Edition superfan, I appreciate you leaving in the Can You Stand The Rain performance. ☺️

This Christmas has to be next!
I am torn between Almost Christmas and This Christmas
