I think the air compressor unit is still probably superior, but when you need the portability, it's good to know you have something reliable to get the job done. I could definitely see the benefit to adding one to my workshop. Nice review.

Air compressors aren't dangerous, they're fairly common place. You can use them for all kinds of tools, and to fill up car tires. Just make sure to clear the air out of them when you're done using them to prevent rust, and it will last you a long time. Very handy tools to have around!

i like the idea of not having to fire up the air compressor, thats noisey as at night time.

If you get some kaizen foam you can cut it out to put in the tool box, then cut out the shapes of the tools and they will fit in the foam.
