  • Lets talk the controversy around blackhead removals and why its not as simple as just washing your face there is more to blackhead removal and blackhead extractions than that.
Hey guys and welcome back to todays Shorts Video where we are talking a look at a blackhead extraction and blackhead removal controversy. Many will say just wash your face but there is so much more to it than that and in this video I want to share with you what causes blackheads and how we can approach a blackhead extraction.
How to remove blackheads and blackhead removal from nose.
This is an extreme blackhead removal but one which I think proved the point we are making here well so let me know what you think.
I would love to know what your thoughts are on blackheads and this particular blackhead removal technique so leave me a comment below.

Would it be easier if, before the extraction, the person gets a facial sauna (vaporizer) to open the pores and facilitate the extraction? That looks painful!

I have a question. What causes the different colors of blackheads? Some are all practically black, then there's green,white.... 😮

I do completely agree with you! We know that many of these patients have spent their lives working outside, exposed to the sun, pollution, and the elements a great deal. This is not about “washing your face”!

My father was a welder. Between the heat, sun, welding masks, sweat, etc., he had blackhead behind his ears and along his collar on the back of his neck. As a teenager, I would extract them for him. I also gave him pedicures. Work boots were hard on feet. He even allowed clear polish on his toe nails to keep them from splitting. He would have been 100 this March. I miss him madly.

I so agree with you. Up until I was in 12th grade my skin was in great shape. I had a wonderful skin regimen and then my hormones went haywire. 😮 I broke out so bad and my family (one particular aunt) kept saying I wasn't cleaning or using the best skin care products. Then she went on to say I had bad eating habits, ha, her daughter, my cousin had horrible eating habits. Mom found athe perfect dermatologist for me who guided me what foods to avoid and what skincare I was to use for my hammered skin. He also prescribed hormone therapy to calm my own hormones down. He was perfect because he listened to me and he cared about his patients because he understood what a traumatizing issue acne is on us.

I’m glad you pointed out that solar comedones aren’t a cleansing issue. That’s such a pervasive idea, and it baffles me. People who have this kind of acne work in extreme conditions. They may not have any choice about how or where they work. Forty, 50, 60 years working in fields or outdoor construction or any other outdoor job with no sun protection and constant exposure to chemicals can ruin anyone’s skin no matter how often or well they wash.

Thank you for sharing your education on different people’s situations. People jump to, at times, the wrong conclusions. 10 years ago, I had a liver transplant after having cancer in my liver twice. Even friends said to me “I didn’t know you drank “ There are many reasons that one gets liver cancer. I never was a drinker, and I never did drugs and it wasn’t hepatitis C. When somebody’s had something that’s very scary and they’ve been through hell and back. You just say I’m sorry I’m here for you.

Agreed! When I was a teen I had horrible acne from the age of 13 to almost 16 before I finally found something that worked for me. I can't count how many times that I heard *just wash your face!* I was doing more skincare than any of the ones who said it thought about doing and it was morning and night. I often bathed 3 times a day. It wasn't from lack of cleanliness lol so please be nice to people because *but for the grace of God*

After some years working in maintenance, warehouses, logistics, and manufacturing, I can tell you that any worker whose job requires them to wear some type of proper protective equipment like facial coverings, masks, noise reduction, etc. will usually have these types of issues. Spots on the skin that consistently make contact with this stuff will absolutely contribute to the buildup of dirt, debris, and oils. No matter how tedious your daily cleansing routine is, it will eventually happen.

I agree, Rob! Washing the face isn't what causes blackheads like this, and he's obviously elderly... in Asia, chemicals from the war that are still in the environment cause people to have horrible skin and acne issues. On top of that, he looks elderly, and he could be disabled, have environmental damage, and could never be exposed to any aspects of skin care. 😊

Washing your face will help with most skin issues but won’t 100% prevent them.
If you work a very physically demanding job that leaves constantly covered in sweat, dirt and grime. It’ll be harder keep pores clear even with good cleansers.
Mental health plays a part too, same with financial stability. Everyone’s situation is different and the solution isn’t always as simple as washing your face.

I don't think anybody is being judgmental I think people are just trying to point out that good quality soap and hot water can prevent 90% or the problems shown!

You will never know what someone else is going through,, In my worst times of my depression I just didn’t care about anything.. It’s not that I wanted to give up.. Everything was just a 100 times harder to process…

I guess i got lucky when it comes to anykind of acne. I live in fl (im not saying this is a good idea) ive never use any type of face sunblock i have never in my 51 years of life had anything on my back no pimples or blackheads. My skun care routine is cheap i always wipe my face down with alcohol every night after I get out of the shower i use witch hazel as a toner because that's what toners are look at the 2nd ingredient and a couple times a week i go pluck a piece of aloe blend it up in the blender and apply that to my face i usually keep it on for 15/20 minutes and thats it and no acne I know that everybody's skin is different I'm just saying this is my routine.

Is that right under the eyebrow?....
I think a large part of it is washing your face for sure...
I think a larger part of it is hereditary though too 😢🤷🏼

Lord have mercy.... I'm a assistant for a oral surgeon and when we get people in like this, I'm like a vampire trying not to react to blood! Lol she'll look up and say "No No Lisa"
    She's mean.... They're sleeping anyways.

When people say just wash your face, it makes me want to say go train to be a dermatologist otherwise.. pop it!
Way too many people judge, not clean enough, not thin enough, can't see a disability.. so many reasons in the world which nosy people should never be given an answer.
My uncle had a horrendous bike accident aged 17, he shouldn't be alive.. but since then he gets terrible outbreaks.. its part of his many disabilities.. but people are so horrible to him.

Judging by the texture of the individuals skin on this video id say this is from years of build up and sun exposure. It is epic though.

There isn’t a soul I know who enjoyed having acne. Yes, washing your face will help. However, acne is a disease of the skin that needs to be treated as such. If one cannot see a dermatologist, there are many over the counter products like benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid that go a long way to kill bacteria and clean out pores.

In these cases hygiene is not the cause, it can be hormonal, exposure at one’s employer, chemicals etc I know this person had to feel better when it was over.
