This was a shit Arse Aircraft, its Napier Sabre Engine used to explode, and its complete tail section would separate itself from the rest of the Aircraft.... it was effective below 13,000ft at best.....it couldn't take on a Bf 109 G, nor a Fw 190 A-1. But the good old Brits gave it a massive make over and it became a Tempest....a great aircraft. Even the Tempest wasn't as Good as a BF 109 K nor a Fw 190 A-8 or an Fw 190 D in my opinion!
