I’m so glad you liked it Mike. That was my suggestion. I like it with 2 teaspoons of coffee. Lots of salt and pepper and cumin. You did a great job. And weird. I’m in Idaho and I buy those potatoes all the time. I love them. Really enjoyed this one!

Hey Quade. Nice vid. Also enjoyed the pot roast one. EZ recipe for roasts,nifty haven't tried, is a can of coke, an envelope of onion soup mix, and a bottle of chili sauce. Not the spicy kind of chili sauce. Use the one that looks like shrimp cocktail sauce. Mix all. Pour over roast, salt, pepper and cook. Add onion initially(opt). And taters on/in last 1-2 hours. Love you bro. Terrell in Texas.

I have to try the coffee thing. When I did more camping for longer periods I used those potatoes, they go a long way and light weight for storage.

Watching you talk to the camera so naturally, it’s easy to forget that you’re in these pitch dark campsites all alone. Do you ever think of getting a dog to keep you company? Just a wee one, like a Yorkie or a Jack Russell 😁
You’re a brave one. Sorry but I’m not much of a coffee person. I don’t think I would even do that to a steak. But interesting that you did that. Never seen or heard of a coffee steak before. Coffee on a steak sounds interesting. I’m not a coffee drinker but I’ll give it a try as a seasoning. The weather has been crazy here in northern Ohio too. It was in the 20’s yesterday and almost 60 today.
i just had to try coffee crusted steak, i used pink salt, crushed black pepper, an peruvian ground coffee 😊 i am purely amazed, this was the best steak iv ever had, thanks alot for showing this, u have changed my life, im now addicted 😂 💯👍👍👊👊 🇬🇧

Mike just watched the video,dinner looked great with Dunkin Donuts coffee grounds(dunkin&Folgers my favorites )!Heres an idea:bring a crane in and haul that big coffee pot home,then fill it with hot coffee...then when you camp just fill your thermos before you leave HA!HA!(thought id throw that out there)Happy Trails sir!

I've had them dehydrated potatoes before, but by the time you go thru the whole process of making them you could just grate up a couple of fresh taters on a box grater and have fresh quicker, and fresh taters keeps and travels fairly well
Glad you put the pan in the coals 👍. Next time put the pan in the coals to heat it up and then put it on the rack when you cook 🍳, it'll go much faster. 😁

Most coffee crusted steak recipes use very little coffee. A lot of people get a bad taste for it they’re first time trying it cause to much coffee gets used.

We love those potatoes. I bought a huge carton from Sam’s and I’m planning to divide it out into smaller portions since we don’t always need as much as one of those small cartons. I’m thinking of using small mason jars and vacuum sealing them. They can also be added to soup.

Haven't seen the dehydrated pint potatoes in years. We usta use them when camping as a child (70s) and i will never waste good coffee on a great steak.
