This is so close to being the same rig as the Haley D3CR it’s not even funny. People are shitting on this rig for “single stitching” They need to buy a Haley rig and check out that stitching. It’s literally the same as this, maybe the D3CR has a little tougher thread but it’s not some $180 stitching. Great review. Thank you for it as well. Only found two in English so far.
After looking at all the same brands you said in this video I was in the same boat and it kind of just came up after contemplating spending slot of money and or buying a Chinese knockoff. I've been looking hard at the same possible chest rigs you had mentioned. Thanks for posting this. I'm looking for something slick like this for carbine matches and possible run and gun events. As you said, this seems to have everything I need and nothing I don't! Rock on!
After months of reading up on just about every chest rig on the market and almost pulling the trigger on a Spiritus Mk4 I too landed on this Helikon Tex MR. For the money there just isn't anything on the market that can touch it. Got mine in the RAL 7013 color for only $110. The only complaint I have and that I've seen others have is that it isn't very modular into plate carriers. Well, it can be pretty easily if you have someone sew some quality velcro to the rear of the rig and there are great plate carriers out there that this rig can clip into.
Hey man this is the most recent comment I could find in the thread, I'm looking to get this chest rig but I have a really big chest 50 inches to be exact and that's without any cloths and I am afraid it won't fit me at least the back strap that is. could you let me know if the strap would be able to accommodate my size? that would be much appreciated!

Really odd and specific question...what is the spacing between the side buckles? A company called MissionSpec makes a product that basically expands a micro rig like spiritus systems wings or similar but instead of hook and loop it uses the buckles. L
Thanks for pointing out my unscripted commentary flaw. All reviews at the time of this one was in another language but I thought they may have been out of Australia.
I have no way of testing that. The pouches seem designed for the standard mag size. The middle pouches come out. You could replace them with ones that do.

Says restriction of drawing stops him from carrying a firearm in his cheat rig....but draws magazine from his chest rig.....smdh some people have the dumbest excuses
It’s easier to draw a handgun from your waist. If you were to put a handgun in said area it would be difficult to draw due to its location/orientation etc. However magazines have been drawn from this location for decades and quite comfortable. If you wear a handgun on your chest, have it oriented so that it is effective to get out. This rig will not allow that.
Skeptical about chest rigs? They've been around and well vetted for a ridiculously long time. I guess it depends on your frame of reference. Some people watch Wranglerstar and thinks he is an authority on tactical gear, or carpentry, or anything other than forestry. The point is, there are plenty of sources of research material. Many people, like you, don't care for PALS chest rigs because it actually requires knowing your mission and training to make your kit work best for you. It is far easier to purchase what the manufacturer thinks you need, thus taking individual thought and work out of it. Some don't like PALS because it will be more expensive, and a bit heavier than a cookie cutter rig, once it is all kitted out. Most chest rigs do not have padded harnesses, as they are not that heavy, even full, are worn over clothing, at least, and likely armor, and assume that through proper consistency in training, the user will become accustomed to the rig. It also appears that that kit has almost solely single stitching, not what I'd call sufficient in fighting gear. Just some thoughts, not at all dissing you. As someone that has worn a lot of gear on a daily basis for a very long time, these are just top of mind observations.
Brawl Dawg. I liked this small rig because it carries resources in a similar configuration to which I felt the most comfortable. I bought it for that reason, size, and cost. This is not a fighting rig. It’s a training rig as advertised. My skepticism never went further than my actual need for a chest rig. I use it for fundamentals.
@@bwilson8520 Good copy. Again, I am not trying to stomp on you, man. An armed citizen that is more than willing to put the time, money, and effort to train is a good man or woman in my book! The cost is right, for sure. My choices are different for reasons that are personal to me, but the point is to take the steps to progress. I am glad you got over your skepticism, and I hope that willingness to overcome continues. I like rigs similar to this in size, ala Haley Strategic, in my family's vehicles, as well as my work vehicles. It is a serious abbreviation to my War loadout, but it is perfect as a grab, go, fight & win system, particularly if supported by an E&E bag. I know the cost of high quality nylon gear is shocking at times, but there is a payout in the end, I promise you. You've taken an important step, and I wholeheartedly commend you. At times, the curmudgeonly ways that I manifest can cut. I'm glad you are bug enough to have a discussion as opposed to allowing my personality traits to sabotage any hopes of interacting effectively. At any rate, good on you for winning the battle of skepticism. I have subscribed. I will be around and willing to contribute.
