I did purchase on Amazon. Upgraded the m.2 to a Samsung 980pro. I am going to do a little customizing on the case to accommodate a nice Aluminum heat sync. I will putting in risers on the case lid so I can get the clearance issue solved. Also if you plan an external GPU then you will need the riser for that so the ribbon is connected to the NVME M.2 slot. For the risers I got some m.2 spacer nuts about 3 cm clearance, also from Amazon.

I just grab 1 at $250 after brought a used one ser5 5500u for testing purposes and because my brother wants something small for his bedroom and after a week of testings I failed in love! the low wattage is fantastic that's why I picked up one for me and the plan is for my daily use (RUclips, paramount, Netflix and so on)
Do you recommend it for someome that primarily wants it to rip their cd collection into usb mp3 format or pay $20 dollars more for the pro version
@@bamban_garcia5562 The pro comes with the Ryzen 7 5700u right? if now it is only 20 more bucks, I'll say grab the pro because is 2 more cores and 4 more treads. But for just rip music and basic computer stuffs I think the Beelink SER5 with Ryzen 5 5560U its more than enought.
Can you tell me if you're easily able to upgrade all the components like the CPU, graphics card etc? Just thinking how future-proof this is
It's a mini pc, CPU is non upgradeable and it uses integrated Ryzen graphics so no GPU change. But max ram is 64gb ddr4 and a 2tb nvme and you can put a data SSD as well

Does this PC supports Freesync and a 120Hz Display at 2560x1440?
yes it supports freesync over displayport and HDMI. I can use it with my 144hz 1440p display at full res and speed.
Hello. I probably missed it in the video but could you let me know if the front USB-C has display out? Some people claim it is USB 2.0, have you been able to verify this?
Just leaving my comment here for anyone interested. The seller from Beelink replied to me via both email and Amazon saying that the USB-C port doesn't have video out (no DP alt mode or power delivery whatsoever). The port is USB3.0.

Looking to use this as a living room media PC. Would be very interested in both 4K video performance (particularly in Plex) and FPS in Stray.
I would recommend getting an intel based mini pc over this one if you plan on using plex. If you have plex pass, the iGPU from intel is much better supported and can handle a lot more concurrent transcodes. This will do better in gaming. I don’t currently own stray so unfortunately I can’t test it.

No it has no battery and the power supply it comes with is rated for much higher than the wattage used even in the higher TDP. It should be perfectly fine.

I want to do an upgrade from my 10-year old PC to Ryzen 5 5500U. is this a good substitute for playing games?
I would strongly suggest you go with a model with a 5600U or 5600H at least, but something like a 6600H would be wonderful. The 5500U is fantastic, but Zen2 is really showing its age compared to Zen3/3+ and Zen4. You need to push at least 25W to get a good level of performance and some systems will not let you adjust the TDP. at the stock 15W TDP you will find it on a lot of systems, it really lacks in performance. the 5600U was a pretty major improvement compared to the 5500U because the CPU is just far more efficient. so you get great performance at the stock 15W, and 25W will get you 99% of all the performance of the system. a 5500U needs really around 30W to get max performance, and even at the wattage, it still performs worse than a 25W 5600U. the 5600H is just the same APU with a higher TDP, usually in the 35W to 45W range, so it has slightly higher core clocks. a 6600H will give you around the same CPU performance of a 5600H, but the GPU is so much better. you are looking at a 30%-50% increase in performance when it comes to the GPU. Being an RDNA based GPU instead of Vega like 5000 series and every before it, the 6600H will continue to get driver updates with optimizations. Vega based iGPUs still get updates, but AMD has stopped optimizing these drivers.

Vega 6. Official name is Radeon 6 since AMD dropped the Vega naming scheme to hide the fact that they still use the Vega architecture. But it is a Vega iGPU with 6 cores.
Is the power supply multi-voltage rated?
The one I got is 120volt. So I would guess no.
