I'd take proficiency with both weaver's tools and smith's tools and flavor making my own suit of armor as weaving the metals into a fabric, enhancing it with runes and enchantments, and accentuated with conventional fabrics to create the desired fashionable outfit that still functions as armor. Then just flavor your infusions as accessories.

Can the clothing these Edna Mode-esque artificers make count as armour? Or does the person wearing them count as unarmoured?
I ended up picking artificer for our campaign but I'm not sure youtube will let me say what she makes.
