The third edition of Khelo India Youth Games-2020 are scheduled to be held from 18th January to 30th January 2020 at Guwahati. The upcoming games will be organised in partnership with Indian School Games Federation of India (SGFI), Olympic Association (IOA), and Assam as host State.
In 2018 there were 16 disciplines and in 2018 there were 18 disciplines in which players were competing. The number of disciplines may increase this year. This event is expected to witness huge no. of players and officials. More than 1000 athletes and officials are expected to participate in this event from various parts of the country.

Recently, sports ministry has sanctioned an amount of Rs.7.87 crore as out-of-pocket allowance for the training of 2625 Khelo India athletes 99 Khelo India academies and other training centres across the country. This sanction will be paid to each athlete as sum of Rs.10000 per month for the period between October to December 2019.
