Watching this video has given me the inspiration to get my arse into gear and do the propshaft centre bearing on my 1982 cortina.
    Cheers Richard 👍

I have this exact job to do this week on my l200, will use this video as my guide instead of the manual and report back how it goes 😁

Watching this while having Lunch and a rest from refurbing my rear 90 calipers.
Nothing wrong with doing UJs that way , it's been done that way for donkeys years.

new clips came in the kit, I always hang onto the old stuff just in case one of the new clips is stolen by my workshop pixie

When you shook that prop shaft I immediately said “that’s fu@ked!” Just before you said “I think that’s fu@ked!” I had to laugh! 😂

The bearing caps go in easier and straighter tapping with a hammer!

Using Land Rover tool number 1 on a Mitsubishi. Who'd have thought it 😅

If they don't like what you're doing tell them to Go Forth and Multiply :) I tell them they don't have to watch so bugger off.
I know it's too late now but IF you had put the carrier bearing in the freezer (which you don't have in your workshop) it would go on easier.

I tried putting stuff in the freezer and she who must be obeyed went friggin nuts at me

@@churchhouseclassics Yes for some reason they get upset can’t understand it myself but if you put it in a Ziploc bag you can usually placate them.
Of course I’m lucky in my garage I have a small fridge with a little freezer section which works quite well, I have to have somewhere to keep my beer

Brilliant video! Including language! Sounds a lot worse in my shed, haha! May I ask what year the L200 is?

    • @churchhouseclassics
      @churchhouseclassics  2 года назад

Swearing at inanimate objects is often the only way to approach it. The L200 is 2004

Ah this is the Land Rover that I can lob a world of crap into and not worry about messing up the boot area 👍

    Richard.....
Now you're talking, or working as it happens....
A PROPER vehicle..... Ouch....Did I really say that 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 But I do have a soft spot for an L200 or five.
    Great content as always.
Stay lucky. Stay safe. Stay healthy.
