From a retired Toolmaker from down under . If the bearing is of no further use then remove the inner bearing first by any means possible [cut using a die grinder ] This will leave the outer bearing possibly seized in the larger diameter hole. A few heavy welds placed into the inner circle of the outer bearing will cause that bearing to distort / shrink enough for it to easily be removed . I did it on the front wheel bearing of my Suzuki X90 .
Hello my friend
This is a good idea
I have seen this method before from an old mechanic😉
@@innovationtime20 Yes thank you I was pleasantly surprised my self to see how easy it was . I learnt from a lot of older German and Russian Toolmakers myself . One thing a remember seeing was a Russian Toolmaker winning a bet by cutting a 1/2 inch W.W. left hand thread using a standard 1/2 R.H. W.W. standard tap. And yes it can be done just try to work it out no tricks just reworking the standard tap . PS. I was one who had to pay for the bet believing it was impossible but it is achievable. Cheers
Thats also how you remove old valve seats...
In my apprenticeship 56 years I was taught to use heavy grease and brass drift to remove bushes and bearings and they have always worked.
This man has the best free-hand use of his tools that I have ever seen. Quite remarkable especially getting straight cuts from a handheld disc-cutter that do not need any cleaning up afterwards (without the safety guard I note!).I would have to cut smaller than required but then file it out to the actual size I wanted.
For bearings I use bread - brown or white, doesn't matter. Fill the space in behind the bearing and the hole in the middle til you can't get any more in - full up. Next get a piece of dowel - or a branch from a tree - and make it fit by shaving until it is exactly the size of the hole in the centre of the bearing. A nice tight but sliding fit. To remove the bearing strike the dowel smartly with a mallet, and as if by magic the bearing will rise from the depth of the housing. Sometimes, with an open, unsealed bearing the bread will ooze through from between the balls so you will have to find a way of preventing this from happening. Perhaps jam some pieces of rag in between the balls.
Thank you dear bark🙏🌹
And after, have lunch with the bread!
His latest video is based on this bread comment! LMAO!! 🤣
Waste of time, money and no initiative
And an oven to make pizza..!!
Blind hole bearing puller, complete set $40.
23 hours of labor reverse engineering the tool with an angle grinder, drill press, stick welder, and scrap metal. Capturing and editing the entire process into a video to prove to the world that you don’t need to spend $40 on a tool when you can build it yourself for 20-30 times the cost of buying it.
PRICELESS !
Even better: $3.00 for a loaf of white bread and $15 for a cheap seal driver kit from HF. Pound pieces of white bread into the bearing hole with the appropriate seal driver. The bread will "Jack" the bearing out...
@@goldsburg I do believe that will work my friend.
You are right my friend
but you cannot find this tool anywhere in the world to buy

Fill the hole with grease, find a solid bar that just slides inside and give it a whack with a hammer, done.
The last idea is pure genius!
🙏🌹
Made in china copies
Great job. Of course any tradesman will have been taught to make Jigs and Fixtures from scratch. My old toolbox contains many of these sorts of ideas which now have me scratching my head. Simple solutions are usually the best.

judging by your inventions, you don't know how to get a bearing with a rag and grease?
In the next videos I did it with bread 😉
You can find this in my videos
A very useful thing in the garage, I’ll also try to make such a puller
🙏🙏🌹🌹
Love the handmade tools to solve these problems. Really shows that one can do a lot with basic tools to produce other tools to solve problems - Thank you
❤️❤️
This is great if your out the middle of no where with no tool shops around and a scrap steel laying around. Usually don’t like these DIY videos but this is good one.
❤️
All three look like great tools to have.
The last one is a brilliant one. Thanks
Bloody Amazing. Only just found you page , now subscribed, everyone of those were great. I thank you for sharing your ideas.
Purchased a tool that was identical in technique to the first example and about 1/5 the size. Including set-up time, I pulled a bearing from end of crankshaft (blind hole) in less time than it took to watch this video. Always amazed at how complicated a simple job can be turned into.
This is the easiest:

Have you ever think about that in some places is a expensive tool or inaccessible?
What would you have done if there was not a handy shop nearby?
This is so clever,i think the last one will save my ass to remove a broken bearing in my gearbox on my e-ton atv. Thank you so much! Subscribed 👍
🌹🌹
10/10 - great job. Nothing more satisfying then making your own tools, especially when they work well.
Thank you very much!❤
@@innovationtime20 Where can we buy the same tools like these ?
I needed these ideas 50 years ago. So well done!
Thank you dear Gord 🌹
Bin there done that 50 Years ago when I was a machinist apprentice this is nothing new !
My Dad and I once made a gear puller using the angle iron from an old bed frame.
Très belles réalisations. Félicitations .
Thank you 👍❤️❤️
Your ideas should be patented, they are awsome!
❤️❤️
Que perro... gracias por tu extraordinario aportación. Deseo Que Dios bendiga esas manos y tu talento. Un gran abrazo, eres especial!!!!!
gracias🙏🌹
There are too many comments here from poeple who don't seem to realise that just go and buy one is not an option for many, and you have to admire
the angle grinder skills.many shop bought pullers would not perform as well or last as long as these. I say well done sir i'm subbed
Thank you dear John 🙏🌹
Doesnt matter what anyone says in the comments all good useful workshop tools , top job dude 😁😁🤘🤘🤘
Thank you dear Karl 🙏🌹
Every now and then you see someone who has complete command of his tools of trade and this guy is special. These pullers are to be prized for the work they do.

You got some skillz G. Most beautiful tap wrench ever - what make is that?

Wow.....Here's a project for you....Kent Moore J-45380 Output Bushing Remover Installer....It's an expensive tool. Thanks

I need these in my garage
Thank you my friend 💐💐
Yeah, well what I would have done is...
... I'm just kidding. These were all brilliant and i hope i remember these the next time I run into this. Very clever and a very good video. Thank you
Thank you dear Matt 👍
Great minds are rare.
The 2nd one is genius 😮
❤️❤️
good job with common shop tools, although maybe not that common
Good work
Thanks👍
Nice job making this tool:well done!!
Another way to remove a bearing like this one (how it is done in the workshop) is to fill up the void behind the bearing with grease and then take a shaft (or any cylindrical piece of metal kicking about....) that with very little clearance slides through the inner bearing race..... hit it with a hammer and the bearing pops out!!..... you won’t believe it till you tried..
Thanks bro 👍
I have another video for this, I did it with bread 😉

All the tools that you make. But I never seen a bench grinder in the preview. Watching now. But make a bench grinder. Xd
👍
Very very clever puller ideas. I really loved the last two. Saved to my brain
🙏🙏❤️❤️
I've been doing this for 52 years. I have several different ways of doing that in just a few seconds..
I fill the whole with grease. I have different sizes of shanks I match to the bearing center whole.
I place it over the whole and hit it hard with a hammer the bearing pops out..
It's hydraulic impact that forces the bearing out..
DRC ;) work's Everytime......
👍👌
Brilliant,simple,effective,congratulations
thank you dear Stephen 🙏🌹
I find needle bearings in small hand hand tools can be removed by the tapered type concrete rawl bolt and a sliding hammer, with a little grinding.
Remarkable, I need my mill and lath to do these tasks.
❤️
Super outils bien fait et efficace 👍👍👍
Beautiful job. I wanted something for a 1/2 inch bore 5/8 od sleeve bearing.
👍
Remove bearing puller ready well done good work nice vedio👍👍👍👍✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️
Thank you dear Ganesh 🙏🌹
#3 is the best.
Ideias fantásticas
SUPER GENIAL. Muchas gracias. Saludos desde Argentina
Thank you dear Gustavo 🌹
Nice job. Thanks and God bless you
❤
I have always just put a ground down bolt in the hole and then put a screw driver in between the bolt and the hole to keep the bolt from coming back out , I have pulled many bearings this way.
Nice idea 👌
Thank you dear Kenneth 🙏🌹
Lot of work for that.
Best blind hole bearing removal technique : get a deep well socket that closely fits the ID of bearing.
Fill blind hole bearing cavity with grease.
Fill close fit deep well socket with grease.
Insert socket extension into socket.
Place grease filled socket and extension into bearing ID.
Strike sharply with hammer.
Done with zero fabrication.
👍
Bingo!!!
Another subscriber here, great use of hands skills and ideas for Engineering problem solving.
❤❤
You pop out that bearing like a pro 😉
❤️❤️
I like the third one.
Thank you
I think bread as bearing pullers is easiest way , watch this video 😉

❤️
Beautifull work mate thank you
Thank you dear Mohammed 🙏🌹
Your ideas are exellent. Thanks
🙏🙏🌹🌹
Un genio el loco ..!
I like the 3rd method more.
There's also a 4th way. Shove grease in the middle. Then shove a rag in and hammer with a rod and ratchet extension. The bearing will eventually pop out.
👍
A couple months ago I was tasked with replacing the clutch in my pickup truck. I removed the pilot bearing by packing the cavity full of grease and driving an appropriately sized socket, also packed full of grease, into the bore of the bearing. The hydraulic pressure of the grease pushed the bearing out of the crankshaft with ease. That's the only time I've ever needed to remove a bearing from a blind hole.
Nice idea 👍
I used bread for it 😉
You can see this video to 🙏🌹
Bread is easier to cleanup. I've ises grease also.
👍
You NAILED it.. I have worked in shops fpr 40 years and that is how I removed bearings. It works like a dream...
I used water dampened bread
Your 3 puller ideas were great. Nice work and good video.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you dear Joe 🌹
I like last one the best.........
Thanks 👍
Thank you very much for sharing.

Show de bola .
Nice tool maker. Your genius
❤️
Boa noite amigo são excelente ferramentas.
🙏🙏🌹🌹
🙏🙏🌹🌹
If you get a pin the same size as the bore you can use hydraulics to eject the bearing. Just fill the bore with oil, then use a club hammer to force the pin into the bore and hydraulic action will force the bush/bearing out. Easy peasy.
Thank you dear Amby daly
I have make a video and make it with bread 🍞😉
Tomorrow you can see it in my channel 😉👍🌹
