Honestly, that whole 'rift' between Howe and Paul seems more overblown then it more likely is. Course people will butt heads over transfers, and the direction of the club.
Like the comments on the transfer deals and how they're run. Like I'm not sure people understand the depth of Newcastle's squad. We've got players like Wilson, Miggy, Targett, Lascelles, Hayden, Krafth, and even now Longstaff on that list honestly, that are big big wages, that we're unable to move on. It's very unhealthy for the club, and one of the reasons we're always in concern for PSR. Like it feels like the only way we could let some of those go on low low transfers, is as if we got rid of a Bruno, or an Isak.
But also how before we had MA take us over, you could argue we were up there, in terms of money and such. But fastforward many years later, and so many clubs have either gotten to our level, or have passed us. The club's financial growth is truly shocking. We've more likely spent the past few years playing catch up. It's why we basically had to sell two promising future players for the club in Anderson and Minteh. We have the richest owners, but we're far from the richest club.

Newcastle Uniteds time is upon us what we are witnessing now is a Newcastle team that will become unbeatable we can beat anyone home or away the team looks to be getting stronger week by week now if people wondered what Tonali was doing during is year out,,,whem you watch this brilliant Azzuri he has more than a full 90mins in his game,,Ive never seen a footballer so fit that he is almost untouchable now that Bottman is back Newcastle are building a defencive wall to big for any opposition to get over,,,the midfield is now proving it will be the best in the PL ,,,we are only 1 short of having the best front 3 in the PL,,,We are on the very verge of winning that elusive Trophy I'd predict we will challenge for the league title next season,,,I know it's a big ask but it is coming and Eddie Howe must stay at the front of this football Club because as Newcastle united improve Eddie Howe is also improving,,,he is an Elite coach he is more than proving he has what it takes,,,Our GIANT is awake and we thank Eddie Howe for waking that GIANT from a very long sleep .
Up the fucking Mags ,,,keep the faith we are back and we will be that force to be reckoned with.

Newcastle fan here, Newcastle are not successful, but are still a big club in stature, one day in our lifetime they could win something, but I would rather be entertained.
What I do not understand is how there has not been actual hate from home fans on Newcastle travels, a whole stadium of people booing, never happened apart from a trip to Crystal Palace and another time at Brighton when they said Newcastle could not where an away strip that looked like a Saudi kit, a weak excuse from Brighton I think. I remember that clubs in Bundesliga were for a time outraged by the rise of RB Leipzig.
One time at a match someone protested outside SJP about the KSA takeover but the vast majority of people here are happy or just accepted it.
I remember a photo of Howe when he took his first training session where he is literally man handling Joelinton around the training pitch dragging him into position, I think it was a match Vs Norwich which was the turning point for Joelinton. Another player who was turned around was Emil Krafth, pretty much every single player improved even slightly under Howe, it was just 5 seasons too late for Paul Dummett.
Steve Bruce was not a good manager, another testimony of his lack of his enthusiasm was loan signing Danny Rose, where he claims under Bruce that every other day was a day off training, complete lack of ambition.
    Thanks,

As a Newcastle fan, I just accept who our owners are. We didn't choose the PIF and have zero real power to do anything about it. Plenty of nasty people own football clubs, whether that is Jim Ratcliffe taking away funding for gifts for the volunteer stewards or any of the numerous asset stripping owners that have pushed clubs into oblivion. Like all fans we want to be entertained after a long week of work and (usually) crap weather. If nothing else, I now enjoy my weekends far more than I did when Cashley and Penfold were hanging around like the ghosts of Christmas past.
Sure, it'd be amazing to win some silverware, and I'm sure we will at some point in the not too distant future, but for now I'm just enjoying the ride.

I am thankfull for the Newcastle takeover even though i am not a Newcastle fan. The moment the Saudis bought the club the Premier Leage/English FA finally decided to use their non existant financial fair play rules / PSR , unlucky for Newcastle that they cant have the Man City 2 year transformation but its better for everyone that stable owners come into clubs with the mindset of making the clubs themselves stable rather than throw money at the problem and not care about tommorow (Like Leeds in the 2000s)

    • @AllyBeee1

Tell that to Reading etc. PSR has 0 effect on stability actually. Look at the amount of debt clubs have & now we have shareholder loans with interest %, how long before a club loans itself into trouble. IF stability mattered PSR wouldn't be revenue based and would include debt. It's about stopping progress of clubs wanting to compete with the top 6, its protectionism, It is also anti-competitive & if a 3rd party took the PL to court under Competition Law, they'd win. To quote the PL 'We can't let another Leicester happen'

Ashley was the epitome of a successful businessman trying to run a football club like a business when in reality the most successful clubs don't actually make much (if any) money at all. Newcastle made a profit pretty much every season but nobody cared except Ashley because we were crap at the actual football. Ratcliffe is doing the same at Man Utd, he is going to get a harsh lesson in how football economics works..i.e. spend every penny you have (or can borrow) trying to improve the team and forget about making a profit.

THERE'S ALSO FOOTBALL BEFORE THE PREMIER LEAGUE IN 1992, so doesn't the championship league trophy not count as as a major trophy as you GET £40+ MILLION FOR WINNING ITHAT LEAGUE. plus we would have got an umbrella payment for going down and coming straight back up.
