Seems like a lot of classic and retro cars are fairly priced for now, but collectors are starting to affect them. As a member of the third gen firebird and camaro brotherhood, I’ve heard that collectors are starting to jack up the prices due to them having racing history and the firebird being in Knight Rider. Smh they need to chill
I love jay leno because he has a collection that outshines these snobs yet he drives his cars and works on them he isn't just a rich boy Also: buying a viper would be awesome i would definitely love to see you buy a viper as a project car and using it in your videos
I don’t entirely agree with this vid as collectors are gonna collect cars and drivers are going to drive their cars. It’s what your into and i don’t see people who collect cars as keeping cars out of peoples hands. It’s kinda sad to see people say that collectors don’t deserve their cars, when in fact they have expensive “real” cars that they try to keep nice and they’re expensive. When it comes to replicas, Say I made a replica of a really old and very rare car, and I made a market for it for 1/100 of the price, would you say that the originals are therefore less valuable because their are now 100+ fake cars that look like it. No. It would make originals more valuable because having an actual 100% real version of the car I pristine condition in my books would be way more valuable, it would also IMO make the originals more likely to turn into collectors items. Just my thought on the whole thing. And overall just seems like collectors didn’t inflate the price of some of these cars you mentioned near as much as people who replicate it. And as for which car I’m referring to the Ferrari 250 gto is a good example worth 40 million and considering what you said on your video price wise it could be made in under 200k. Making it 200 times cheaper than the original. Kits and replicas may be cheaper and easier to obtain they’re still not the real deal they may look like a duck, talk like a duck, and even act like a duck, but it’s not a duck.
I was not surprised when he mentioned the Dodge Viper. Me and my dad use our 2004 supercharged Dodge Viper every weekend. We took it to a car meet and saw this dude with a rare 2010 viper for the street and track. His viper had a NA 780 hp engine but he only put in 30 miles over his 3 years of owner ship. And he did bring it in a trailer.
As a superformance cobra owner myself, it is a shame that real cobras never get driven. There was a day when it was just a car. I'm glad to have they replicas for sure, they allow people to build them and customize them however they want. My car is built by superformance so it is officially licensed by Shelby. It is the closest thing to the original. On the out side it looks period correct with 15 inch wheel and no luxury features like a radio. But underneath it is a modern car with a super nice chassis, coilovers, wilwood brakes and brand new engine. Great video Bladed👍
Dude, I might be getting c5 z06, what brand headers do I need to sound close to a Ferrari (like yours)? And do you know of any ones that don't dip as much as others? Im big fan

What do you do when you constantly move millions of dollars through your bank account? You buy exotic cars, expensive art, gold... These things are like a savings accounts for the people that have more money than the bank.
I get where you're coming from, theres nothing better than seeing rare and valuable cars on the road being used. But cars are much more than that, they're investments that people want to own for their own reasons. We should respect the choices of the owners as they wish to preserve the cars for a reason, whether be financial or personal.

I’m sorry I’ve got to say it replicas are disgusting and should be put in the same class as fake amg or m sport badges, you have to have owned one of these cars to appreciate how annoying it is to have an amg whilst some one put a fake badge on a c200d all that effort to have attained such a vehicle and some knob jockey violates your car and I actually think some cars if not most cars can be collected because some cars need protecting in order to restore the heritage because if everyone drove them how you would suggest then their would be none left and given basic supply and demand prices would sky rocket even higher I can understand your points and I do agree to some extent but we can all agree some machines are too sentimental and too niche to be used and abused
There is a business in Cape Town (South Africa) called *Cobra Experience* ; that buys and rebuilds Ford AC cobras (Restomods). They then use them for sunset cruises, chauffeur drives and even lease them out. It's always nice to see them around the city and knowing that they are used to bolster my city's economy and tourism is also really amazing and something that I tend to geek out on. I also believe *(if not mistaken)* that they are the biggest holder of Ford AC Cobras in the world.
Craziest thing about the 99 vr4 is those glass headlights. You used to be able to pick up a pair for a couple hundred bucks and now people want like $2,000 just for the headlights and turns
I love the dudes who actually drive around their classic cars and stuff like I just saw yesterday a freaking corvette stingray which most rich collectors would be like "your not moving an inch" but this old dude was enjoying life like oh my frick

Any classic Porsche could make this list or be an honorable mention, especially the more desirable versions of the 911. The first and second gen 911s used to be had for 20-30k but now they’re upwards of 80 and some of them go for 100 plus. Even the lesser known 912 is barely affordable anymore. The most recent “cheap Porsche” is the 944 but even those are starting to climb in price. A few years ago you could find a nice driver quality 944 for around $10,000, now they’re closer to 20. @@jeffmayo6002 Its mine too :)
@@BallisticGhast6 I have never seen a 3rd gen go above 15k
"Cheap car the best car" "expensive car the fucking shittiest car" "luxury car very nice"
I love jay leno because he has a collection that outshines these snobs yet he drives his cars and works on them he isn't just a rich boy
Also: buying a viper would be awesome i would definitely love to see you buy a viper as a project car and using it in your videos
Yes though I don't know how often they drive but they run!
Not all Ford GT owners keep their cars in their garage. One owner that actually drives his GT a lot comes to mind.
Doug Demuro, of course.😀
8:34 ah yes my favorite pagani
My dream garage is a 1973 Corvette next to a 1999 Mitsubishi 3000 GT. I'll work hard and get them!
the nsx has been my dream car since i'm 5 years old and years ago i see it as something that i could afford, and today.... i doubt ;-;
edo morales silva 😢
I haven’t watched the video yet and i have a feeling the NSX will be on here
I was right
I don’t entirely agree with this vid as collectors are gonna collect cars and drivers are going to drive their cars. It’s what your into and i don’t see people who collect cars as keeping cars out of peoples hands. It’s kinda sad to see people say that collectors don’t deserve their cars, when in fact they have expensive “real” cars that they try to keep nice and they’re expensive.
When it comes to replicas,
Say I made a replica of a really old and very rare car, and I made a market for it for 1/100 of the price, would you say that the originals are therefore less valuable because their are now 100+ fake cars that look like it.
Amazing how a BMW 5 series engine and some bus’ taillights can get up to 25M.
Scott Mccauley hmmm, don’t get me wrong, I think these cars’ prices are kinda justifiable. I’m just joking around.
“I remember GasKings, where is he nowadays?”
*IN JAIL*
2:23 that looks like a badass Vic tho
Im big fan
Mine are custom made. No aftermarket company makes 180 headers for any Corvette. I know some guy made 180 Headers for the C5 and C7 on the Corvetteforum, but I think he's done taking commissions. In his words, "Way too much trouble"
@@BladedAngel damn, that's just really unfortunate, I was hoping one day to actually sound good and unique for once, oh well
What do you do when you constantly move millions of dollars through your bank account? You buy exotic cars, expensive art, gold... These things are like a savings accounts for the people that have more money than the bank.
I get where you're coming from, theres nothing better than seeing rare and valuable cars on the road being used. But cars are much more than that, they're investments that people want to own for their own reasons. We should respect the choices of the owners as they wish to preserve the cars for a reason, whether be financial or personal.
For the Acura NSX I would only ever get them early models because nothing beats the nostalgia of those POP UP HEADLIGHTS
Stonks good meme I love the cobra
Im watching this bang on a year later today is February 14th 2021!
Yes I wish the cobra wasn’t a million
In Vegas, when I was graveyard apartment complex security, I saw a live Viper. I was trying to fix a '71 300SEL 4.5 and drove a 68 Corona, 2d owner me.
I can pee
Good job dude never stop
@@tmbthe1425 Thanks man....i will try
How??? Please explain I forgot how.
how to make a Mclaren F1
1. BMW V12
2. stick it in an MP4-12c
3. remove all driving aids and computer stuff from your car
4. realise you've just turned a decent supercar into a deathtrap
Yeah, collectors suck, if I buy some cool car, I'd drive it because the designers and engineers put a lot of effort to make the car DRIVE fast
The Shelby Cobra 427 s/c is my favorite car but I wish people would actually drive it and not try to protect it as much as they do. When I lived in Arizona the only time I would see it was when Barrett Jackson is in town but other than that I would just see pick up trucks and soccer mom vans
I’m sorry I’ve got to say it replicas are disgusting and should be put in the same class as fake amg or m sport badges, you have to have owned one of these cars to appreciate how annoying it is to have an amg whilst some one put a fake badge on a c200d all that effort to have attained such a vehicle and some knob jockey violates your car and I actually think some cars if not most cars can be collected because some cars need protecting in order to restore the heritage because if everyone drove them how you would suggest then their would be none left and given basic supply and demand prices would sky rocket even higher
I can understand your points and I do agree to some extent but we can all agree some machines are too sentimental and too niche to be used and abused
I eat socks
Whats your favorite flavour
exactly ; what is the point of owning a nice car if don't get to drive it
People can do whatever they want with their cars lol.
A man of culture I see "car guys, no collectors" it's what you want to do and that's a true car guy
Why own a car when you're not gonna drive it though, cars are meant to be driven, not rot in a multi million garage.
I’ve been watching all your vids today I just rewatched the cheap things expensive cars do video and as soon as I got the notification I clicked

Hahaha very funny
Craziest thing about the 99 vr4 is those glass headlights. You used to be able to pick up a pair for a couple hundred bucks and now people want like $2,000 just for the headlights and turns
I love the dudes who actually drive around their classic cars and stuff like I just saw yesterday a freaking corvette stingray which most rich collectors would be like "your not moving an inch" but this old dude was enjoying life like oh my frick
A friend of my dads has an Aston Martin DB6, a late 60s DBS, a V12 Vantage, Mercedes 280SL, and used to have an Aston DB5. He drives all of them. He takes incredibly good care of them, but they’re all driven very regularly. The way it should be.
I'm going to say thank you for showing me these kit cars because if I didn't I might not be able to ever drive them(GT and Shelby).
I just searched up who Gaskings was and Holy crap he scammed pensioners of near to £1,000,000!
What a disgrace
The Ford GT replica you mentioned isn't a very goo one imo, would much rather have the real one even at said cars price point. If I had to go the replica road I'd definetely pick a superformance GT40 instead.
WTF THE COBRA GOES FOR $1 MILLION?!
There were like 3 authentic ones at my school car show and I just glanced over them like “oh cool a cobra”
You should talk about the singer vehicle design and how you feel about it.
The 1984 911 turbo is my dream car but I’ll be lucky to ever be able to afford one
nice use of Southern 4501 as the "hype train"
lol
9:40 Southern Railways 4501 at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga Tennessee. It is my second favorite steam locomotives with N&W 611 at first place.
-
Edit: TVRM has two other running steam locomotives as well-Southern 630 and 610. On top of that, they have an old F unit, an old 1960’s yard switcher, a couple of GP’s(710 and one other I can’t remember the number of) and a few other classic diesels.
I drive my T-Bird every so often because it fun to cruise in. Not that often but driving it to a local show or on a date night is fun and helps keep it in drivable condition because all cars are designed to be driven.
You are the first person I have heard mention Gas Kings in years.
That’s good, it most likely means his influence is wearing off

Today i saw an abandoned mitisubishi lancer evo 100% track ready, acrilic windows, no seats, wings and everything. it broke my heart
I feel very privileged for this, this comment is not to flex or anything, just informing a crazy scenario. When I was 11 my dads work friend was moving, and he had a 3000gt (Mitsubishi) and it was a vr4, it had a new radio and a body kit that had not been installed yet, and my dad bought it for the measly amount of only 1000 dollars, and when we came back home after loading it on the trailer my dad looked me in the eyes and said, “This is your first car by the way”, and I completely lost my shit
had each of these. The original cobra and I absolutely loved it. It was a great car. Then some hole backed up into it. Viper great car. the ACRs set all track records in America. Except for one track where the porche 911 spyder beat it. 2005 Ford GT crazy fun not so comfortable but has a lot of HP.
About a year before i got into cars, i saw a 90s red supercar on the highway. Being the normie i was, i grabbed my family's attention and was like HoLY Cow a FeRrArI. My dad drove closer to get a good look, and it was only then that I saw the badge. I now realize that that might very well be the only 1st gen nsx i will ever see on the road
Oh god the viper one hits home, was my dream car and I’d always see one in the town across from mine, it was an older man he drove the piss outta that thing. One year he wasn’t at the annual car show, found out he had passed and someone in the family inherited the car. No clue what happened to it haven’t seen that car since I was about 10-11. (I’m 18 now)
On the bright side I did see a 2016 viper at a gas station about 4 months ago
Near me house, there’s a blue viper and it’s been parked outside in the street and never moved these past 2 years I’ve lived in this area
My neighbor two doors down got a first gen Viper with about 11k on the clock for right around 30k. Best thing about Corona so far has been getting to hear it start up when he takes it out in the morning
