- I’ve owned the Secretlab Titan gaming chair close to 1 year and in this honest review I’ll cover my overall long term experience with the Softweave chair, is it worth it? More Info Below:
Secretlab TITAN Evo Softweave Chair: bit.ly/3LCayCS (newer model)
My original review of the Secretlab Titan Softweave gaming chair was a few months into ownership. In this updated video review I've now been using the chair for 9+ months in lockdown and have done the equivalent of 1-3 years worth sitting based on my pre-Covid usage. So I thought it was a good time to post an update on how I am travelling with this gaming chair. I hope you enjoy the video. Overall it's been a great chair so far!

Written Review:
In this updated video, I am now more than 9+ months into ownership, but I have done what I think is approximately close to 3 years worth of sitting based on how I often I would be at my desk before COVID lockdowns. Down here in Australia, I’ve been working from home most of the year on this chair, and with the usual personal use thrown in as well I am spending around 10 hours on most work days at this desk, sitting on the Secretlab Titan.
Overall the experience with the Titan has been great! I do not regret purchasing the Titan, and the Softweave Cookies & Cream variant. While the fabric material certainly brings risks on stains, it does appear to resist most common stains you may expect on a colour combination like this. Eg, dirt on pants, food crumbs, etc.
The chair itself is going mostly well. It's still quiet and sturdy. In my health check in this video, I only found 2 bolts were not at full tension after a check up. The armrests are probably one of the pieces that has the most pros and cons. While they’re comfortable and easy to position, they do sit slightly different on each side of the chair, and while the metal build of them is obviously very strong, it does make the arm rests one of the louder items on chair. Adjusting the arm rests makes a solid metallic thud. The metal components of the armrest too, are likely to be what may give you a static electric zap should you be wearing some clothes that are likely to generate static electricity on a fabric material, more likely on a cold winter day.
The chair itself is going well, I can still go all day in this chair with minimal discomfort which is more than I can say for another other office chair I’ve owned. While yes, the material is firm or hard as it's commonly known to be, it does take a learning curve to adjust too. There will certainly be some people that will not adjust to the feel that this chair brings, unfortunately describing what this chair feels like is one of the hardest things to do in a video, text or photos. All I can say is that I like it.
Shortly before making this follow up video, and half-a-year after publishing my original Titan review I was invited to join the Secretlab Affiliate program. As I’m sure you can see here I really have found this chair impressive. By clicking the links above I may earn a small commission for purchases made from Secretlab. While this is the case, I can only emphasise to you that this video is still just as honest as my original video. This video took about 3-4 weeks to produce working nights and weekends to get it done, so it would be an appreciated way to say thanks if you found value in this video.
Hope this content helps you, and the chair lives up to your expectations!

@@LazyDraven hey LazyDraven, sorry I missed this comment hidden in the replies thread, first of all thanks & glad you like it!.
Sounds like you also might have had a question I missed? Let me know here if I missed it.
Definitely one of the best reviews I’ve seen on these chairs, so detailed, well thought out, and thorough! Keep up the great work man 👏🏻
Thanks for the comment Mubeen!
19:40 to fix that you can loosen up the screws on one side of the backrest and tighten them on the other side so that you straighten out the backrest. This is not a quality issue, it's just a simple mistake made during the assembly (happens to most people).
Good god man, this is one hell of a well thought out and executed review. Very well done.
Hey thanks mate appreciate the kind feedback, hope you found some value in it :)
Thanks for that extensive review.
I've been looking forward to getting a new chair as my chair has served me well, but now has broken parts and is generally dying.
I decided to get the Titan, and your review was that one thing I needed to make up my mind.
Hopefully I will enjoy it as much as you did.
Thanks mate, glad you found it helpful and I hope it lives up to your expectations, thanks for leaving a comment! Cheers.
Just got my SL TItan in today and I love it so far. It definitely is a firmer chair that will take a bit of getting used to compared to the cheap gaming chair I came from before but the difference in build quality and overall support is massive. This review helped me finalize my purchase and I'm very happy with it! Thanks for such an in depth and honest review and keep up the great work!
Thanks for the feedback Colin, hope the chair treats you well! Cheers
UPDATE: 2022 Secretlab Titan Evo - I got a 2nd chair for the house so I bought the new Titan Evo model. You can see the review & comparison on my channel or linked in the full description. Most of the content here on this video is still totally relevant also and the 2020 Titan is still a GREAT chair!
from the information given by this video and your one from a year ago you helped me decide to buy, thanks for making these, very well done and informative
Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback, glad you found it helpful! Cheers
Cracking review, love how it's split into sections so I can go to the bits that are relevant to me. Just the review I was looking for!
Glad you found it helpful mate, thanks for the comment!
Awesome review mate, love how you time stamped each section. Appreciate it heaps!
Thanks Brian! Glad you found it helpful!
Thanks Ben for the thorough review. You answered pretty much every question I had in deciding whether to buy this chair. Like you I've been stuck working in my current chair for months now. Sadly it's an IKEA cheapy and it's run its course now. Definitely time to upgrade. Greetings from the UK!
Glad it helped you mate!
Good news! After your last secretlab chair review, I finally bought a soft weave omega. Thanks for your reviews, wouldn’t have bought it without your honest review. Thanks.
Thanks mate hope you enjoy it!
Mate, this is one of the best damn reviews I've ever seen about this chair. Picked up the same model as you yesterday. Tried a couple from officeworks and they just sucked. You're a bloody legend mate 👍
Thanks for the kind words mate, hope it lives up to your expectations when you get it :)
How is that chair so far?
Your original video was a key factor in me ordering my Secret Labs Titan XL Yesterday. I'm elated to hear how well yours has held up! Excellent Reviews and extremely detailed. Liked and Subscribed!
Thanks Tyler, I hope you enjoy the chair when you receive it.
@@BenCad I get to wait until January 18th!
@@mrvelvinator how did your chair look and feel so far?
@@JMTechZ The Chair Looks amazing. The best thing about it so far is the rigidness. When you lean left and right in the chair, it does not lean with me like my old chair. I am also enjoying the Pillow far more than I expected. So Far it has been the best chair I've ever used on a daily basis.

I have the Omega Softweave and it's hugely comfortable, and as a massive bonus their customer service is second to none
Your first video review was the best of dozens I watched and your review convinced me to purchase the Titan XL. Placed order in August, still waiting for delivery - 2 weeks to go now, delivery supposed to be mid December. Thanks for your first and now this follow review. Cheers cobber!
Thanks David! Hope it comes early for you!
OMG, do they take that long to get? I do see on their website right now a disclaimer that says expect delays but wow.
Great review, very in depth. Thank you for the review and all the hard work you put into it, excited for my titan to get here!
Thanks for the feedback mate, glad you found it helpful and hope the chair lives up to your expectations once you get it!
Thanks man. Your video was the reason why I grabbed this chair last week. Keep up your style of review. Thanks!

Hey mate, thanks for the feedback and hope you enjoy it once you get it :)
Thank you for the greatly chaptered video :). The recent price increase on these chairs has really made me do extra research to fight off buyers remorse hah!
Glad you found it helpful :) thanks for the comment!
The most outstanding, in-depth follow-up review of a Secretlab chair I've seen. Really good job! I'm going to test the chair out at a showroom this week, and if I like it I'll come back here and click your link to buy as away to say thanks :)
Hey thanks mate appreciate the kind feedback! Lucky you have a showroom near you most (inc myself do not)! Just remember it will likely feel different to what you're sitting on today as it is probably firmer. There is a bit of a learning curve with them as you adjust over the first week or so. Cheers
I would definitely love to give the Softweave a try next. I have had 2 Secretlab chairs to date and cannot fault their impeccable customer service and supreme build quality. I've had many gaming chairs and nothing comes even close. Currently running the Cyberpunk Omega and have probably put around 2.5k hours in too and not one ripple in the leather or any build/quality issues. I can also vouch for the 'spare part' scenario. My first chair actually ended up coming with this really strange residue all over the actual backchair piece all over it, and was not wipeable. It must have been some sort of glue malfunction at the factory. As you said, a simple email and a whole new backchair piece was sent and received within a few days, I still have the original in my attic somewhere. Astoundingly great customer service.
Thats a good plug! Glad you had a similar experience.
Thank you so much! I can't seem to find any good reviews for gaming chairs and I really need a better one for my back, I was really scared about buying this chair your reviews are what sold me on buying one. Thank you so so much ❤
Gosh thanks! I hope it lives up to your expectations! :)
Great video mate - really appreciated the detail, and especially the timestamps! A really thoughtful feature that a lot of other reviewers don't bother with.
Thanks mate! Glad you found it helpful!
Superb intro. Loved the overall review, very informative. I’m in the US, also been working remotely from home the last 10 months. I work in the healthcare industry and most of the time I’m sitting most of the day. I would love to get this chair for my daily work at home. I currently have a gaming chair too but it’s nowhere as comfortable as this. Thanks for making this video.
Thank you mate, thanks for the feedback! Yah sounds like you’re In a similar situation, all I can is this was a serious step up from my previous office/gaming chairs! Hope it lives up to expectations if you decide to pull the trigger! Cheers
I just cancelled my NAPA leather chair, after watching this review. I ordered the soft-weave through one of your links. Thanks for the informative review. I hope this chair works for me as it does for you. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the kind feedback Trombitas :)
Mate, you have some absolute top notch editing skills.
Hey thanks mate :)
Your original video pushed me over the edge after looking at the titan and others for months on end, I was one of those people sitting at checkout hesitant to confirm the purchase.
I went with the titan charcoal blue softweave instead of the PU leather, as I live in Adelaide it gets stinking hot here in summer and I didn't want to go through that. Just got it today and yes it is quite firm but hoping it will work itself out in the next week or two.
Thanks for the comment, yeah I found it took a while to adjust. Hope it works out for you over the next week or so!
Amazing review. THIS is exactly what I was looking for. Answered all questions I had perfectly and even those I didn't know I had. Thank you :)
Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for the comment :)
Fantastic video! the amount of care and detail my gosh. I got an Omega Dva chair from them so this video has helped me prepare for when it gets delivered!
Thanks for the feedback :) hope you enjoy it when it arrives!
Glad you covered the sound. That was my main reason for upgrading, well that and my fake leather shedding.
Glad you found it helpful mate!
This is the first review that I watched that doesn't feel like a paid advertisement. Great work! One of the most common complaints I see is the seat feels like it's hard as a rock. Have you experienced that?
Sure have the seat is likely firmer than you’re expecting compared to what you’re on now. And likely will come with a bit of a learning come as you adjust to it. I find the chair very comfy and supportive but it will be different to what you’re used to most likely.
The chair is firmer than you might originally expect, but I've found that to be an extremely good thing for my back and my posture. The chair still feels very comfortable, it just takes a few days to get used to sitting on it. Once you are used to it, the firmness combined with the comfortable seating positon means that I have no desire to move around or readjust how I'm sitting in the chair. I'm just almost always comfortable. My back is relatively straight, and it feels like the chair is supporting my back for me.
All of that means that even if I've been sitting down for 5-6 hours straight without even getting up to use the bathroom, when I do stand up, my back still feels good. There's no aching or pains, or the feeling that I need to stretch and crack my back or anything like that. My back has never felt better, and this chair truly and fully has solved the back pains that I was previously experiencing. Obviously that's only going to be the case for people who spend most of the day sitting down in their chair, but if you do spend extensive periods of time sitting, you will really come to appreciate that firmness that it has, because that prevents your back from slipping into a bad posture, and helps keep you in a good seating position overall.
I would never want to go back to a softer chair, or any other office chair for that matter. Softer chairs may feel nicer to sit down on at first, but they don't support your back, body or posture nearly as much, while will result in that uncomfortable feeling when standing up after a long period of sitting down. The firmness of the SecretLab chair definitely prevents that issue, so as soon as you get used to it, that becomes a benefit rather than a drawback in my opinion.
Too soft and it won't be good for your back. Like a mattress you want it firm for back support even though it won't be as comfy initially.
I just received this chair, along with my new desk Monday. All assembled. I had some garbage chinese chair I just tossed to the side of the road ("Killabee), and I have had bad neck pain. Using this just for 2 days, the neck pain is still there but significantly relieved. It's feels too good to be true. Love the tilt. Everything you can do on it. Nice review.
Thanks mate! Hope it keeps going well for ya!
I've had this chair in leather for several months. The longer I have it the more I love it. I had back pain and bought a new bed, wife loves it but did nothing for my back. Bought this chair mainly because of the warranty and heavy base. What I didn't realize is that my back pain was gone after using it for a month. This was totally worth twice the price for me. Another bonus was that until I got this chair I didn't realize that I'm most comfortable with my legs spread; other chairs confined my ability to spread comfortably. I spend 8 to 10 hours working or gaming 5 to 6 days a week. I'll say if you spend this much time on your system in a chair, don't skimp on things like your chair, keyboard, or mouse.
Glad you’re liking it Devon, I agree!
The "tight" test, man, you rock!!!
I just ordered my the other day and can’t wait to put it together so I can rage and chill comfortably!!!
Raging needs max comfort :) hope it lives up to your expectations when it arrives, cheers!
I got my 2022 evo a week ago, I'm returning it as soon as they respond to my email. It's so hard it hurts to sit in it. I've say in actual hard plastic chairs that are more comfortable than this thing. I hope you like yours.
@@Sarlacc_ I need to lookup the return policy, I haven’t even opened it yet and I’m moving soon so there’s no point to put it together right now and if it’s as hard to sit on as you say, I don’t really want to waste time doing so when I can sell it.
@@aGoofyNinja its 49 days for me... and you have to pay return shipping yourself which willl be over $100
@@Sarlacc_ yeah I might as well just put it on eBay if I decide to sell.
I'm surprised, this hasn't brought in more subscribers to your channel. Very thorough review, thanks! I have gone from dx racer to the Autonomous to the noblechair black edition to being stuck between noblechair and the titan; your video tipped the scale towards the latter tho :)
Hey thanks for the feedback mate, glad you also found it helpful! :)
Got the black3 version during the black Friday sale. It's very comfortable and finally I can sit at a good height. Easy to assemble, easy to clean. Would recommend.
Glad you like it!
I know someone that got a Herman Miller high back chair in a sponsorship and said it was really comfortable for upright sitting activity but not for leaning back or lounging. Like you said, it does feel more like an office chair
@Angela K : Well, computer chairs are not meant for lounging/relaxing to begin with. That's why we have recliners and couches.
My Titan XL arrived today and I am mega excited! I'm just under 6.2 ft tall and weigh more than the average man and I immediately feel comfortable in the chair! Finally enough seating space for me! I work a lot from home as an IT engineer and it is a blessing for my back!
Glad it’s going well so far!
I’m like 5”10 Wich should I order I’m 170
One of the best reviews I’ve seen on these chairs
Thanks for the feedback Eric!
Thanks for another great video Ben. Your former video was also a key factor for me to buy this chair. I pre-ordered mine yesterday (the Softweave Black). Will have to wait until February so I have a lot of time to look forward to the delivery. These vids help with that too 😊 My only concern is that the cats will probably try to sharpen their nails on the fabric. Oh well, I guess I won’t leave the chair then 😏 Thanks again for your reviews. No doubt it helps buyers as much as it helps SecretLabs.
Thanks for the comment Roel, hope your chair comes early and good luck wth the cats!

Wow! What a great review! Extremely informative and unbiased, keep it up
Thanks for the feedback :) glad you found it helpful!
I just got a Titan this week and it's amazing. I have a herniated disc in my back and deal with a lot of pain. After the first day sitting in it, my back didn't just "not hurt", it actually felt good. On the second day, it hurt a bit but I realized that it was because I was actually sitting correctly and I wasn't used to doing that.
The seat cushion is firmer than I expected and that takes some getting used to but as far as stability and back support, it is incredible. The only blemish on it when I got it was a small tear in the lumbar support knob rubber coating. Not a deal breaker but still unfortunate for a chair that costs this much.
Glad you're happy with it! Perhaps try warranty on that minor issue?
ngl, when you were going over stuff that could dirty the chair, i thought you'd chuck in 'and when you shart yourself'. Thanks for the review, getting mine in a few days!
Haha I’ll take that as a compliment, hope you enjoy the chair!
Best review out there, its super honest, I just bought this exact model and colour of the chair, I did not like the idea of leather breaking over time... my room gets very hot or very cold so leather was probably a bad idea for me.
Thanks for the feedback Rob, hope you enjoy it, I think you made a good choice!
Wow, you did a great job with this video! Very informative and professional.
Hey thanks Ryan, appreciate the feedback :) cheers
Bought the 2020 Titan blue softweave and like it a lot! It still looks great. Only drawback for me is that it is a dust magnet and I still after two years have to vacuum frequently. No biggie. Few times I stained the seat by dropping soda on it but the spray I bought from Secret Lab worked great and took the stains out with no problem. Very pleased with my purchase.
I ended up getting the fake leather blackout Omega secretlabs chair and i love it to death! could highly suggest but you are right when you say "fabric is more breathable" in summer months it can get a bit sticky and sweaty... even with that negative i love it and have fell asleep in it many times lol Great review man!
Glad you're liking it mate, it is certainly a tough choice between either material. Pros and cons to both!
This is an amazing review. Thank you and greetings from Germany.

@@BenCad I’m sure it will, I’ve been using a lawn chair since my last chair broke 😂
Your first review helped cement my decision on this chair. Also my cat decided to sleep on it the first night I had it. She's notorious for shedding fur so I was worried, but just as in your case it's a very fur-tolerant chair. (Titan softweave Black3)
That’s awesome glad the hair isn’t sticking! I thought you were going to say the cats claws got into it haha *phew* :)
Question for anyone who may be a little wider in the hips and back: Do the wings cause an arching effect? I have bucket seats in my car and the edges tend to force my hips to tilt up at the edges. This has caused sciatic pain. My current chair is only 20 inches wide but does not have a tilt on the sides. I take up about 18-19 inches in the middle. there is no measurement on the site for the middle flat part of the chair. I am actually looking at the omega with softweave, I am only 5'4". I spend about 12+ hrs a day in an office chair. I am down to making a choice between this one and an ergonomic mesh office chair. Any help is appreciated
I'm thinking about getting this chair, love the review because I also spend around 10 -12 hours sitting. I want to treat myself and get a comfy chair for the long run as the chair I currently use is a generic racing style and it's destroyed my back and knees after 2 years lol.
Hey Reck, sounds like you’re coming from something similar to me, overall I think it was very worth it! Good luck with your decision, cheers
getting my titan tomorrow, thanks for the detailed review!
Hope you like it Brandon!

Thank you for this video! Think I will order one right now after weeks of considering and watching reviews. My biggest fear was that it will be too stiff but most reviewers havent had a problem with it.
You're welcome I hope you found it helpful, good luck if you pull the trigger! I found hitting the buy button the hardest part (all the apprehension of not physically seeing or sitting in one etc) but the experience was much better after I committed. I like the firmness personally and I currently have to go all day in this chair while we all work from home with covid and it supports me well. Good luck!
@@BenCad Yeah its also almost like I've seen too many positive things about it that I've become hesitant lol. Thank you!

Anyways, thank you for the video. I felt more confident with my purchase.
Argh damn! Hope it lives up to your expectations when you get it mate :)
As almost everyone writes - Both reviews are good, thorough and very helpful. Many thanks.
At work, I had six years using a, correctly sized, Aeron, which was excellent. After a spell in another office, using A.N. Other brand chair, which was OK, I was at home working for a while. Then retired. Oh boy, did I miss that Aeron, but really could not justify the cost of a "personal" Aeron. I do a lot of photography too. So lots of time in front of my monitors, processing photographs and printing. Finally, I could not put up with my old 100 Euro chair any longer. To be fair it was well used ........
Following your and other reviews, I ordered and am waiting for a Titan in Softweave, Black3. I'm 1.78mtrs tall and weigh 80kg. So at the lower end of the Titan user scale. The built in lumbar support was the clincher for me. For 15 years, my cars have had adjustable lumbar supports. Even our sofa's have great ergonomics. Even my cheaper office and home-office chairs had adjustable lumbar supports. So there was no way I was taking a step backwards to using a cushion. Of course, I'm not getting any younger either!
Fingers crossed. I am looking forward to my new chair.
Again, thank you for your reviews!
Thanks mate, glad you found it helpful. Hope it lives up to your expectations when it arrives! Cheers
If ur used to office chairs that are ergonomic then u won't like this chair for long after u get it. Better off getting an executive chair for what ur looking for.
Now that you've had the Titan 2022 or 2020 for a while, what's your thoughts?
Thank you very much for this review buddy ! See ya

Great review. I've had mine 2 years and the only negative is the seat cushion just will not soften up. I'm not a small guy and I'm in it 10 hours a day typically, whether working or gaming. My butt still gets sore after being in it a long time. But here's the weird part, overall I feel my body is more centered, if that makes sense. I'm 44 and have done lots of sports damage over time and before I got this chair, it always felt my spine, ribs, etc. just never lined up anymore. My butt may be sore but when I play bball or run or whatever, I sit in this chair and recover better. It's hard to explain but I'd buy this chair again, 100%.
Thanks for the feedback and great review yourself!
Thanks sooo much this helps more than any other review of it and you have made me confirm my decision to buy it
Glad it helped! Hope it all goes well! :)
@@BenCad thanks
@@BenCad I have the chair and I absolutely love it thanks so much for making an in depth review but my final question would be" how do you get the lumbar support to fit you?" as idk how it is ment to contact with you back
@@user-uo4lr5mh4h Hey I'm glad you're happy with it! I don't think I have the best answer but I would just suggest mucking around with it over the next few weeks and find something that's comfy for you :)
@@BenCad alright thank you very much
Great overview! Tossing between this one and one of the Noblechairs.
Thanks mate, noble was the other brand I was seriously considering. Good luck with your choice. What swayed me to Secretlab was it seemed the warranty and after-support seemed better here in Australia when I was doing my research.
@@BenCad The warranty is the metal frame only. Not the leather, not the stitching, not the arms. Just the skeleton.
Amazing presentation and info. Subbed!
Thanks for the comment and feedback Andie, cheers!
I'm going to order the Omega in PU leather today, I really like the Softweave but I'm a bit of a sloppy eater in front of my computer, sometimes even wearing a tea towel down my front to stop me staining my shirt so the PU version should be wipe clean if I were to have a major spill. Great reviews, these are the two reviews that finally made me decide which chair to go for, thanks.
Glad the videos were helpful for you Lee, hope the chair lives up to your expectations and sounds like the PU was a good call for you haha :)
@@BenCad Yep, I've ordered the Omega Stealth in PU this morning, thanks again.
Just for my soft weave Omega chair. Oh my grrrrrrrrrrrrsssshhhhhhh. Material feels super good and love all the memory foam
Glad you’re liking it :)
Great review man!
Thanks Carlo!
Thanks Ben, great review! :D
Thanks David :)
UPDATE: New 2022 Titan Evo Review & Comparison is coming soon! I needed a second chair in the household so I just bought the new Secretlab model, stay tuned for that one coming soon! :) If you have a question on it drop it below!
Lol I literally commented asking when is the Titan Evo 2022 review coming just before I saw this.
Anyway questions:
You going the softweave again?
What colour?
If softweave, how does it feel compared to the 2020 softweave? any softer?
Is the seat still stiff/hard like 2020 models or is it a bit softer?
@@mrtensed Thanks mate, and I've ordered the chair in Softweave Cookies & Cream colour again so I can compare them side by side. And yes will certainly be answering those other questions! :)
@@BenCad Awesome, looking forward to seeing it when it comes out.
Could you do a section slightly more in depth for the arm rests padding. I need a new chair because I am using it a heck of a lot more and find my current chair armrests are far too hard and genuinely hurt my elbows after a while. How soft and plush are the arm rests on secret labs? Are they nice and squishy or do they use harder plastic with little "give"?
@@Flyer-og2yh ill see what I can do :) in the meantime i'll say there is certainly a soft coat of padding on top, so its not just straight up plastic. I would say there is approx 3-5mm of depth in the arm rest if you push down into it with your thumb. I find it comfortable, and well suited :)
How about the bottom cushion? Many people say that it's too hard and not so confortable.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who uses a gaming chair with foot rest combo to play my console games on a tv 😂 I know most gamers uses a gaming chair for pc gaming. I do game at pc sometimes along with playing my Switch on a portable gaming monitor but most of the times, I’m playing on consoles.
Footrest is a must!
Very professional review. Cheers. 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤙🤙
Thanks for the feedback, glad it was helpful!
Hey all, I hope this review helpful to you. What Secretlab model are you thinking of buying?
My original review is still completely relevant also, including the PU leather vs Softweave Fabric debate. There's a link in the full description, or you can find it on my channel :)
Know, i'm really excited to buy this chair but unfortunately, they don't ship the chair chier to my country 😢💔
I'm looking at the Omega as at 5'9" I'm just touching the Titan range.
@@EmberSkyMedia if you're 5.9 I'm only slightly taller if you need a reference for the Titan I think either would work well for you!
@@BenCad Thanks Ben, its tough trying to buy a chair sight-unseen (nor sat in).
@@EmberSkyMedia it sure is!
LIKED AND SUBSCRIBED! WOW MATE! REALLY UNIQUE REVIEW! LOVE IT!
When you spend 8 hours researching the best budget chair for you and it's 2 am and you know this is the best chair you could get but it's $500 *wails!*
Don't be upset. My Titan is shit :)
@@jo.b5829 why?
@@XY-vf9mu it came apart at the seams on the seat. When I got it one arm rest was broken. Then the head pillow split. ( The £60 Ikea chairs I always had lasted years.) I am sitting on my Titan that is held together with duct tape :) Customer service complained but did replace the parts as a token of goodwill! This was all in the first few weeks. Pile of hard crap and the Lumbar support is next to useless :)
@@jo.b5829 Smells like a fake review if anything.
@@cardy4ever not really. I can vouch for that the hype is not real. Compared to average chair or any GAMING chair this is way better. But compared to any proper high end office chair: no. It is still _gaming_ char: Looks nice, lots of hype, but not really there...
Thanks for the review! I got an Aeron after trying one in the showroom, but it's not a good fit for my partner who needs more of a gaming style chair (reclining, can sit cross legged, etc). SL Titan looks like a good option.
Dont do it. The backrest has "wings" which are supposed to wrap around the sides of your back but what they actually do is prevent your elbows from being vertically beneath your shoulders (unless you are over 2 meters and the wings end up below your elbows - same applies for the Omega which is for people up to 175 cm....) which is the correct sitting posture to prevent arm and wrist injury (which I got myself from sitting on it for 1 day). I have returned to sitting on a kitchen chair without armrests and the pain is gone. Let that sink in for a moment :P Also SecretLab Titan can come with an uneven backrest. A 500 dollar chair comes with a backrest tilted left, practically and certainly preventing you from sitting correctly and gauranteeing back muscle and spine issues if you use it for prolonged time. And the Support team tell you it doesn't interfere with the ergonomic design :D Let that sink in for a moment
To further my point. Look at the person in the video. Their elbows are not vertically below their shoulders and are instead angled sideways. This is incorrect posture. Do not take chair recommendations from people with incorrect sitting posture.
@@fathelos I'm 183 cm tall and the wings dont limit my elbows from being vertically beneath my shoulders. When I built it my backrest was uneven, but it all comes down to how you built it. Loosen the screws, do a little bit of adjustement and its straight. From my perspective it is a very comfortable and ergonomic chair, bit if you prefer a kitchen chair then alright I guess
@@Deru11 we aren't talking preference here. With a correct posture you cannot not have them get in the way. You're just thinking they are not in the way whilst having incorrect posture. Feel free to post a photo sitting on it. I will tell you what you're doing wrong.
Has anyone used or considered something like scotchguard for the fabric ? would that help? or another product ....
what do you think about the casters? i just got 2022 models and it got the same black casters... it's rubber? should be safe for laminate floor ?
I probably can't offer too much of an opinion on the casters as I my house is only carpeted. But, there is some kind of 'rubbery' feel to the casters so I think it should be safe, I would be surprised if the chair was not safe for hard floors! Hope that helps in some way. Cheers
For those who recommend Herman Miller Aeron chairs. I have that in the office at work. It's really good. But it's an office chair for an office environment. You won't be slouching on it, reclining, putting your feet up, crossing your legs, shift positions during long hours of gaming. You can't do all that with the Herman Miller nearly as well as the Titan which I also have now. I used to have a Dxracer and it turned me off of these racing style chairs. I'm glad I gave the Titan a chance. The difference is night and day. Really happy with it.
How does the titan xl compare with the ewin flash xl? Thanks.
Hey 6:07 there is inch gap at bottom seat and back panel, have you check with them
Hey Ave, no its pretty standard I believe for a chair like this. No issues with it, but I talk about the gap a bit later in this video :)
maybe some lockwashers will help with the bolts coming loose if it doesnt already come with them.
Very good review. I waiting my Titan XL
Thanks Tomi :)
Great video mate. Thanks! Liked and Subbed keep it up
Hey appreciate that mate, thanks for the feedback :)
Clean background, docklands car park is a gem
