Yes, but only if the government can create enough jobs especially in manufacturing since that is the fastest way to cut poverty based on the experience of more advanced economies. Ho chi minh/saigon, their cultural landmarks are more of like related to socialist landmarks.
I think decades of American rule has something to do with how they plan and build cities.
@@arturoliriorapadas5490those countries you mentioned were not destroyed heavily during the 2nd world war unlike the Philippines
Ayy!!!!
Manila Looks nicer than bangkok tho'..
Because BKK doesnt have a CBD. Their skycrapers are scattered
BKK has scattered buildings, meanwhile Manila modern buildings are clustered, called CBD's. So Manila looks nicer in some parts, but the poor side of Manila is worse than the poor side of BKK.
@Hahkkhh188 Why because of the Prostitutes?! HAHA
this is a fact, Bangkok is too touristy and crowded
@@DaveChuaait's just the same as worst as bangkok china and india lol
Patriotism mode activated Philippines🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Patriotism mixed with subtle discrimination against people from Visayas & Mindanao by some commenters here.
Nope only the Metro Manilan and Luzon people. The people from Visayas and Mindanao are forever jealous with their undeveloped and provincial way of life. Having said that they are the Filipinos who work as domestic helpers and construction workers abroad.

City looks so modern and wealthy in general. You wouldn’t even know it is in a 3rd world country.
Just because a country is considered “3rd world” it doesn’t automatically mean that everyone is just living in despair, and not all 3rd world countries are on the same level of development… for example, Southeast Asian countries are more developed than African countries despite both regions being considered “3rd world”. The Philippines is rapidly developing and the middle class is growing fast.
The Philippines is not a third world country. Stop being ignorant
3rd world just means not part of the G10 countries and not being communist. 2nd world are former communists. Very outdated terms from the Cold War. What are you, 50 years old!?
@@richardnuevoyes. It is a 3rd world country as you know too.
@@shahmi5727are you living in a cave, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines are NEWLY INDUSTRIALIZED COUNTRIES, now searcg that term and educate yourself ☺️
Don't underestimate Manila.
those messy electric wires, it is possible to put them all underground?
I think that will be hard to do bcoz its already developed alot
If our government can do it, im sure it will be costly
We are a poor country,we instead spend our money first on education, agriculture etc. than those spaghetti wires just to make look good.
Good to se thiers not much of motorcyles just like bangkok, jakarta, vietnam and malaysia.
should have visit filinvest city in alabang
Kung wala ang mga wire sa suburbs marahil ay maganda ito tingnan...
Wasn’t the Philippines been hit with an earthquake few days ago ?
There are only few recorded earthquakes in Luzon. Earthquake mostly in the island of Mindanao in the south
Remote area
In the south island of Mindanao where the third largest city is located called Davao.
can u drive in phnom penh

For me, BGC is also my favorite destination to chill and relax, aside from Metro Manila

I’ve been to Seoul. It is modern, but it has lots of box shaped buildings and repetitive looking buildings.
