Hey lud, maybe for your next event you should have pre-event entertainment to have the seats filled with the crowd before the stream and to give a reason to be in person for the event. Nothing to special just thirty, maybe an hour before the main event. Idk what kind of entertainment but something.
I think that it's really cool to see a creator who is willing to have these huge events and do them at a loss. It really shows that it's content over money, and that model is much better for the consumer. Love the content, the event was amazing, can't wait to see what next year has in store 🧡

I have to be honest Ludwig, before this event I was subscribed but didn't really watch your content that often, not because you're not entertaining mind you but because I just listen to it like background noise. I also don't watch boxing matches either, however your boxing event was one of the best things I have seen this year, I was going to watch only the Chris fight, I ended up watching the whole event and man what a nail biter. Wish you the best Lud and hope you have great holidays!
Aman getting the TKO effect popping up is so perfect bc on his stream he has a button he hits that goes “K O” in the street fighter voice when he gets a checkmate.
Loved the event. Ludwig not knowing that you need to move AND hit the clock with the same hand worked in his favor because Cdawg would have easily won on time otherwise. The event had so many amazing moments. Please make another one Lud.
This event was incredible Lud. I've never got into a sports thing as much as I did that night. It had me jumping around and yelling. Can't wait to see what other amazing things you put out.
Now that I learn that Xqc was supposed to be the one slap boxing Ludwig. It’s just… ugh… the man agrees to events, and then day of he cancels. Man is a fantastic streamer, but when it comes to following a promise to a friend of his, he won’t show. It’s just a sign of poor character. Idk if he had personal issues or what not, but he has too much of a track record for it to all be personal issues… I’m glad it was Connor, I think it turned out better because of this. This to me is not something that can be just “oh he didn’t show”, it’s a 1.6 million dollar event, for it to just be chalked up to “eh it’s Xqc, it’s ok” is just a bit childish when so much money is involved. I don’t know the man personally, but this just seems just off to me.
Super sick to watch, there was probably so many more people watching because we had 10 people watching one stream. Most of my friends dont watch twitch at all and they still enjoyed it, great event!
This is actually really awesome to see. After so many money focused influencers and events I would have expected an event like this, to not make a profit, be a very bad thing. Its really cool to see someone who hosted the event FOR THE EVENT, and not trying to make profit a large part of it. Ive seen people react to and review and it looked like such a good time. It doesnt seem like Ludwig is discouraged by it, and I hope he stays that way! This seemed like an absolute sucess in every other way!
As someone who knows nothing, besides what I learned in this video. The rules seem really unbalanced, like stalling in chess is super easy but very hard in boxing. So it seems a good boxer will always win against a good player.
Stalling is punishable by 10 seconds decreased on clock. Can't find anything about what happens if there is forced mate on board. I would assume you could show it to referee and they would call it.
@@michaelh878 at least there's a punishment, but if you try stalling in the boxing event you lose the entire match. Seems unbalanced to me. I guess in an entertainment event like this, you'll have people that need to think a lot in the chess part and stalling would be difficult to punish because of that.
mad respect to Spud for not weaseling his way out of the fight last minute, knowing he didn't train. He scammed, but he scammed with as much honor as you can have in this situation
I really hope this becomes an annual event. Just remember, netflix started out losing money too. Also, I didn't hear about this except through Abroad in Japan. I would ask the guest to push advertising much harder.
As far as waiting for the arena to fill up, you can’t exactly expect californians to show up to an event on time. Look at dodger games in the first inning compared to the 2nd or 3rd.
Thing is, I'm pretty sure everyone knows that's a risk at this point, so they kinda plan for it. So if he bails, it's not a big deal, and if he doesn't bail, you have one of the bigger streamers at your event.

This was such a cool concept, I love chess youtube and youtuber boxing so this was the perfect marriage of the two. You can't not be entertained by this event and that's all you can ask for! Shoutout to Ludwig for this awesome event. I loved the slapboxing match too, it was brutal
Legit 1000% deserved content creator of the year after the live Mogul Money show earlier this year and then the Chessboxing event to wrap up the year. Stay awesome dude.
it happened late for when my timezone so i thought i would just watch the first bit then go to sleep, but i was HOOKED, like peak content. major props to the team that made it happen
Hey lud, maybe for your next event you should have pre-event entertainment to have the seats filled with the crowd before the stream and to give a reason to be in person for the event. Nothing to special just thirty, maybe an hour before the main event. Idk what kind of entertainment but something.
Lud has the best confidence holy shit I aspire to be as confident as him.
I think that it's really cool to see a creator who is willing to have these huge events and do them at a loss. It really shows that it's content over money, and that model is much better for the consumer. Love the content, the event was amazing, can't wait to see what next year has in store 🧡
Ludwin would never spend that much money
Yeah I’m starting to think this Mogul Mail guy is a little out of his mind
ludwin wouldve gained double of what he used
But Mogul Mail guy is great at creating content even if it means losing money.
We live vicariously through Ludwig, better him than us.
L win
man i love these "story time" type vids like the twichcon, chess, and the poker keep this up :)
Lud provides no matter the cost to his face.
35:27 "I made a move" NOBODY has mentioned that this move was ILLEGAL. If I only know one thing about chess, it's that the horsey don't move like that
I really can't help but read chess boxing as choxing
That sounds super cursed
Just want to say props to Matt Thomas. He was a phenomenal commentator - he gave the event a seriously professional feel. He should be a pro commentator lol
This must've been so stressful for you and I'm so thankful that you stuck with it and bright is this INCREDIBLE event. I really hope you do this again next year and I might even go see it live if you do. 👺
I was floored by how professional and exciting the event was, I must say I am now more than convinced you're one of the best, can't wait for your next events and I'll try to get my visa to be at the next event (I live in mexico).
Wish you the best Lud and hope you have great holidays!
Not even an hour after uploading and Lud has changed the title already, truly a Mogul Move.
32:28 connor raising his ✋hand
Aman getting the TKO effect popping up is so perfect bc on his stream he has a button he hits that goes “K O” in the street fighter voice when he gets a checkmate.
Loved the event. Ludwig not knowing that you need to move AND hit the clock with the same hand worked in his favor because Cdawg would have easily won on time otherwise. The event had so many amazing moments. Please make another one Lud.
Can we all admit that Ludwig is literally CARRYING the Smash Melee Scene
I cannot wait for Creator Clash next spring and Chess Boxing next winter!!
I was shook by how many people showed up late. great event. loved attending in person
Cdawgva was the perfect opponent. He knows how to work a crowd and is very quick witted. Perfect choice
XQC would have been an awful opponent
My favourite was still chris aka Mr Affable vs Overflow.
You gotta make a video about the other matches. Chris's match, in particular, was crazy hype.
Toast went hard in those last few rounds and really killed it for someone I'd never see as a fighter before this
This event was incredible Lud. I've never got into a sports thing as much as I did that night. It had me jumping around and yelling. Can't wait to see what other amazing things you put out.
That chess boxing event was the best thing I watched all year. My entire household literally gathered to watch the entire thing
this drip feed of content towards the end of the year is gratifying, ty
This was an amazing event! Andrea is a beast!!!💖 everyone was phenomenal.
The chess boxing stream was so fun, i had an amazing time watching it.
Charlie should definitely be a commenter next year
Super sick to watch, there was probably so many more people watching because we had 10 people watching one stream. Most of my friends dont watch twitch at all and they still enjoyed it, great event!
That slapping event with Connor had some WWE vibes. So fun. 😊
I was one of the stagehands helping tear this gig down after the show. Funny I didn't know it was Ludwig until I got to the gig
Chris Vs OvertFlow Was 100% The Most Hyped Part Of The Event, It also had peak 300K (I Think) Veiwers
LMAO true
Hey man thanks for making this year a bit better with this amazing project.
28:57 the referee not able to hold her smile just kills me
I really hope this becomes an annual event. Just remember, netflix started out losing money too. Also, I didn't hear about this except through Abroad in Japan. I would ask the guest to push advertising much harder.
As far as waiting for the arena to fill up, you can’t exactly expect californians to show up to an event on time. Look at dodger games in the first inning compared to the 2nd or 3rd.
the co-commentator that was a previous chessboxing champ was goated
Lud needs to stop inviting xqc to anything lol, clearly the dude is unreliable and can't keep to his word
but its luds choice to invite who he wants not yours . But the content was awesome anyways
honestly dude flakes out of literally everything he gets invited to lol
Thing is, I'm pretty sure everyone knows that's a risk at this point, so they kinda plan for it.
So if he bails, it's not a big deal, and if he doesn't bail, you have one of the bigger streamers at your event.
@@Calebe428 we all have that one friend
@alpha 2 I don't think they ever said that lol, calm down
Please host this again. This was so much fun. I was screaming at a couple of those matches. Hyper than any mainstream sport.
I kinda felt bad cause I bought 2 tickets when they were only a dollar...to then get covid and not be able to go to the live event.
