  • In November 2013, we take a little day trip on Southwest Airlines out of ATL to STL just to visit the Gateway Arch, then turn right back around to Lambert Airport on AirTran and go back home. Talk about a crezy adventure!

From someone who lives in STL, this was really fun to watch. I was laughing through the whole Laclede's Landing part (when you first got off the highway heading to the arch). Trust me, even people who have lived here their whole lives get lost in that mess. Taking 64 into downtown is a lot easier, though a longer route if you're starting from the airport. If you didn't know, the Arch grounds and lobby interior/museum are being completely torn apart now. We're in the middle of a multi-year renovation that's going to change the whole riverfront. Plans look amazing; I can't wait to see the final result. In fact, the parking garage that you used is going to be torn down later this year.
Anyway, glad you enjoyed your day here. Sorry I missed you on this trip. Let me know if you're ever in the area again and want to meet up.

I'm glad you liked it! Interesting to hear that the whole property is getting renovated! But I do want to meet up sometime! :) If you are ever in Atlanta, let me know! But I do hope to go back to St. Louis some day.. This definitely was one of my favorite trips!

+ems318 Sorry for the super late comment but I live in Illinois about 20 miles from St. Louis and I don't know where the heck the arch parking is! Sadly the Arch garage was torn down for some time now:(. Some very cool elevators are in and near Forest Park. I went to Atlanta last year on our way to Disney World, but I didn't do much filming there. Believe it or not, I haven't done a lot of filming here and I live in a suburb of St. Louis! I do a lot of filming in the Philadelphia area where most of my family lives. You are very lucky to live near Atlanta! It's a beautiful city. I am 11 years old. I wish St. Louis had a Marriott Marquis! Anyways hope you come back to STL!

@@ericsturniolo Hey. I also live here, DieselDucy grew up here and STL Elevators does quite a bit of filming here as well. So if you want to come back, and do an elevaTOUR, you have 4 "tour guides" here that can take you around.

@@ericsturniolo The first airplane is the Boeing 737-700 by Southwest Airlines flying to St Louis, Missouri, and last but not least, the Boeing 717-200 by AirTran Airways flying back to Atlanta, Georgia.

    Interesting video, thank you.
By the way, next time you put your phone into Airplane Mode, instead of going into the settings to do it, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to invoke control centre, then select the Airplane Mode icon. This means it’s slightly quicker to access the Airplane Mode icon if you’re required to do this at any time.

At 9:51 there used to be only one elevator in Concourse C. I remember that since I had to connect here once a couple of year ago. By the way how did you get first class on your returning flight?
