I clicked on this because it is one of my very favorite Dylan tunes. This is the best cover of love minus zero I have ever heard, even better than Joan's. Why have I never heard of this woman before???
This brought me to tears...For me, perhaps no other Dylan song is so well rounded in its ability to display Dylan's unique genius. The simple to play, but difficult to capture guitar part drives the lyrics onward in a way that no other song I'm aware of does. It pushes you past line after brilliant line of the love Bob felt for someone fictitious or perhaps real. It was Dylan's talent that made me cry, but I blame it on this performance. They did it justice.
Every time I hear this song it reminds me of a very beautiful lady I once knew who was murdered - hope her soul is at peace now Her name was Cheril Tilley. YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED - LOVED FOR ALWAYS
very nice version of this song, really love the arrangements, your vocals are perfect for this song, mandolin, dobro and electric guitar solos matching perfectly, simply great...
My love she speaks like silence, Without ideals or violence, She doesn't have to say she's faithful, Yet she's true, like ice, like fire. People carry roses, Make promises by the hours, My love she laughs like the flowers, Valentines can't buy her. In the dime stores and bus stations, People talk of situations, Read books, repeat quotations, Draw conclusions on the wall. Don’t speak of the future, My love she speaks softly, She knows there's no success like failure And that failure's no success at all. The cloak and dagger dangles, Madams light the candles. In ceremonies of the horsemen, Even the pawn must hold a grudge. Statues made of match sticks, Crumble into one another, My love winks, she does not bother, She knows too much to argue or to judge. The bridge at midnight trembles, The country doctor rambles, Bankers' nieces seek perfection, Expecting all the gifts that wise men bring. The wind howls like a hammer, The night blows cold and rainy, My love she's like some raven At my window with a broken wing.
To me the gold standard of a cover of this epic Dylan song is Joan Baez's rendition but.....oh my, the is a totally different and wonderful vibe. Beautiful!
Hermosa y melodiosa versión... Eliza es responsable que esta canción supere en devoción a la original de Bob, pero la generosa melodia y letra la hace una obra maestra.. Admirable interpretación... saludos desde Chile..
Thank you for uploading this remarkable cover! This is edited because my original comments did not cut it! This is a wonderful cover that really brings new perspective to this song most importantly because the words apply to some men as well and especially to Bob! I think this performance is great for both genders to listen to and of course Bob singing it always as beautiful as he does!

One of my top 5 Dylan songs in a GREAT cover. My other top Dylan songs are Visions of Johanna (Jerry Garcia) , My Back Pages (30th Anniversary Concert Album) , Don't think twice (Dylan) and Chimes of Freedom (Springsteen).
Lovely version. But why the gender switch? Do people fear to sound lesbian or gay if they sing a song the way it was supposed to be? This one was written to a woman, so why not keep that perspective?
Yeah. She shouldn't have changed it. Joan Baez covered Dylan all her life but she never changed the pronouns. The song's perfection lies in the originality unless something less important is offered in lyrical changes.
There is no reason to disaprove of the gender switch. Dylan himself does it when he performs 'Tangle Up in Blue' and 'Shelter From the Storm'. His songs are very well suited to female singers because they usually lack any 'male' swagger.

a songwriter would be renowned if he wrote just ONE song like this and Dylan has written a couple of hundred
Bob Dylan is such a gifted song writer. He bends my mind with his lyrics. 83 years old. We won’t have him much longer. I hope he lives forever.❤
As long as we keep singing his songs he will live forever
It’s allright: by his music he will indeed live for ever!!
If there’s a better cover of this masterpiece please preach.
None

Well my goodness, I had never heard of Eliza before I saw this today, but now she has a new fan....me ! :-)
Same here !! She's amazing . Worthy of praise from Dylan himself . I'll definitely be searching for more of her singing . 🕊️
A Nobel prize winner.. for pieces like this..❤
This is such a beautiful song, with a tinge of sadness. I have always loved it.
Sometimes the best of both world's is Dylan's lyrics and a great cover. Fantastic.
Agree
Sometimes, it's not Dylan who delivers it best. What an amazing cover!!
Sorry it's not great 👎
Love this, the little lad sitting on stage was magic. This is, in my estimation, Dylan's best love song.
My favorite is "Tomorrow is a Long Time." This one is lovely, too.
One of the best cover's of a great Dylan poem. Eliza and her crew are really terrific here.

Beautiful....I've loved this song since first hearing Joan Baez sing it. A diehard Dylan fan. This version is amazing....
A great version of Bob Dylan's original. Helped me a lot through the sixties in the military overseas.
Me too, in Germany.

One of the greatest versions of the Masters Love Minus Zero
She amazes me... so incredible...
My goodness. What a beautiful cover of one of my all-time favorite songs. Thank you.

Wonderful Eliza!! What an excellent interpretation of a really nice song!
Such an all star band as well.... those folks are true pros... underappreciated craftsmen and women. Hats off.
She’s a treasure!
A master piece of the master. Bobby Dylan, the biggest composer of all times.
very nice version of this song, really love the arrangements, your vocals are perfect for this song, mandolin, dobro and electric guitar solos matching perfectly, simply great...
Great cover! Fully in the spirit of Dylan but with a very personal touch!
Fabulously beautiful!
Beautiful cover of song I never seem to recall or appreciate.... until I hear it and feel the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
All i can say is...wow!
Brilliant cover of a Dylan masterpiece.
This is my favourite song and I had the concert for Bangladesh album since 1970 and can’t believe I never took notice of it till a few months ago
BEST VERSION EVER!!!
Best cover of a Dylan song I have ever heard
For sure
Really. My favourite
Melanie's Tamborine Man might be better, its such a complex song.

One of my favourite songs to play and sing. Lovely cover version.
Beautiful version of an absolutely beautiful song poem
She and Bob Dylan could do a superb duet with this one, I mean superb!!!

Beautiful.
Dylan may not be with us much longer, and being 77 myself I can relate, but Dylan's music may outlast other Pyramids. of music.

Just great. Dylan’s songs are terribly difficult to perform well, and she knocks it out of the park.
Better cover than Clapton, Rod Stewart, or Fleetwood Mac. Really enjoyed this.
That kid, though.

Tomorrow is a long time♥️♥️♥️ love love this song
This song might as well have been written about my ex. It's an exact description of her persona.
The Bard nods yea
"VALENTINE'S CAN'T BUY HIM"
2:39 she almost comes in early but catches herself. A true pro.
wait for it to come around, any time how, here it comes....
I'd like to hear Roger McGuinn play this on his 12-string Rickenbacker.
If you ever have a chance check out The Walker Brothers cover from 1965-66. And decide for yourself which is better.
Nina Gerber there as well so cool
I thought that was her, have you ever heard Duo Quartet ? If not ,check it out
Is that Nina Gerber in black?
We can't be arrogant

Am I the only guy who thinks this seems very Byrds inspired? Shame they never attempted it.
I can see Roger nailing it

Very nice, but it's "she" not "he" (not to pick a nit)
Yet you did. No the first singer to change gender.
