I Ddscovered Hank Williams in 1966 at a long gone cinema as the subject of the movie Your Cheatin Heart over the years my admiration for the country Shakespeare has only grown.
I've seen this video lots of times in the original black and white sephia format, but this is truly amazing! Like sitting in the front row as he performed it
Watching that is a sublime experience ! Here he expresses and imbues this classic with such captivating pathos that I literally have pronounced physiological reactions ; goose bumps , elevated pulse rate , and a muscular tightening in the pit of my stomach - especially when he draws out plaintively the words "start " and "apart" . This live slower version is even heaps better than his commercially recorded one . And his backing musicians here complement his performance exquisitely .
What a song of truth sung by the greatest singer and songwriter ever I wish I could have seen him perform l love to listen to Hank Williams thank you for the music and video
Only took 70 years but here we are guys seeing Hank perform in color!!
Listening to Don Helms steel guitar cry is so beautiful.
The best that ever was no one has ever come close to that .
I still miss hank. A rare one off person with so much talent. Shakespeare of country music.
Hank's the best ever, none can compare ever, my opinion only. 😊

It's eerie to see film of him performing. He was a total natural, so much charisma, and he knew it.

Hank, miss you so. Those years!
He seems very happy singing this song, he's my favorite singer of all time, he'll never die as long as someone plays his songs. ❤
This is great ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for this amazing.
Awesome 👌
poor ole Hank sounds like he's singing in a canyon
Actually it’s Ernie Newton on bass in this clip not Jack Drake
This would be better in black & white.
Who is playing the Bigsby Guitar in this video, Grady Martin??
Piss poor colorization
Pretty sure AI was used for the recoloring
