in the mid of the 1970s I had also a "sticker jeans" ... my mother then threw them in the trash and I looked for them like a needle in a haystack ... of course I rescued the jeans from the trash can and they got more "patches" ... BUT before 1980 I disposed of them myself = the threads were so rotten that they could no longer withstand a seam ... the jeans only consisted of patches in the crotch and it was no longer comfortable to wear - and my weight had also changed - I bought the jeans long before puberty and they accompanied me for at least 10 years of my life ... by then I was wearing trousers with wide legs again ...
i drew on y jeans in the late 60's with bleach....lol...you know what happened to that fabric...right? i then started patching them...lol....i think i have gotten a bit better with the patching gab! lol...atleast i would like to think so! thank you for taking the time to elave a comment gab! go create, go play, go have fun!

@@lorrimarie2002 I do some. I have done stuff with fibres and fabrics all my life and I was a quilter for many years. I don't do a lot of hand work these days because of arthritis. I pretty much do anything and everything. I knit and crochet, I learned to spin last year on a hand spindle. I have felted, made shoes, dyed fabrics/fibres and woven baskets. My loves have always been colour, shape and pattern. But these days I mostly do mixed media stuff. I love making books and I have learned to draw and paint faces. I am currently throwing paint around creating collage papers and absolutely loving it. My name is Margaret Berry and years ago I won a giveaway from you - a lovely fridge magnet which still proudly sits on my fridge and I still have a Lorimarie altered book sitting on my shelf.

My comment just disappeared so if it comes back realize the snufu. You seemed a little down about not doing mixed media, but you are a fresh air to slow stitching as everyone does things differently. Ie yes, show a video on the window patches. You could also do somethings with cloth that lend toward mixed media, ie not sure of all the plants you have there but you could do some flower pounding on cloth and then emphasize them with stitching , you could make cloth baskets,weaving or sewing with cloth and add dried foliage to rim (or something) there just seems like a lot you could do just with the stitching and I know I’m ready for some new blood in this area. Cause like I said everyone is different and you don’t realize how you can inspire and teach someone. I just wanted to say all this so you can put on your creative hat and come up with lots of things to do with stitching and I know I would certainly look forward to more videos by you. And it appears others were happy with this as well as seeing you back with videos. 😊❤️just went to check out old videos and o see you did baskets do if this post is nothing new forgive me❤️🤪

But had a brain storm, lol, what’s popular here are slow stitch rice bags , snippet rolls, danglers( theses are cool, you’ll like them), best of all slow stitch altered books, you would be great at it! @@lorrimarie2002 I do some. I have done stuff with fibres and fabrics all my life and I was a quilter for many years. I don't do a lot of hand work these days because of arthritis. I pretty much do anything and everything. I knit and crochet, I learned to spin last year on a hand spindle. I have felted, made shoes, dyed fabrics/fibres and woven baskets. My loves have always been colour, shape and pattern. But these days I mostly do mixed media stuff. I love making books and I have learned to draw and paint faces. I am currently throwing paint around creating collage papers and absolutely loving it. My name is Margaret Berry and years ago I won a giveaway from you - a lovely fridge magnet which still proudly sits on my fridge and I still have a Lorimarie altered book sitting on my shelf.

My comment just disappeared so if it comes back realize the snufu. You seemed a little down about not doing mixed media, but you are a fresh air to slow stitching as everyone does things differently. Ie yes, show a video on the window patches. You could also do somethings with cloth that lend toward mixed media, ie not sure of all the plants you have there but you could do some flower pounding on cloth and then emphasize them with stitching , you could make cloth baskets,weaving or sewing with cloth and add dried foliage to rim (or something) there just seems like a lot you could do just with the stitching and I know I’m ready for some new blood in this area. Cause like I said everyone is different and you don’t realize how you can inspire and teach someone. I just wanted to say all this so you can put on your creative hat and come up with lots of things to do with stitching and I know I would certainly look forward to more videos by you. And it appears others were happy with this as well as seeing you back with videos. 😊❤️just went to check out old videos and o see you did baskets do if this post is nothing new forgive me❤️🤪
