- While the cat's away, the mouse will play . . . . . Petro went for her first solo sail!! It was also the first time Sisu went on a mooring ball, so lots of firsts to be had this week. We also share how we prepared Sisu when we left for South Africa

We purchased a Leopard 45 Catamaran to sail around the world. Our channel documents our thought and decision making processes with regards to the preparations of getting her kitted out for our needs. We want to visit off the beaten track places and need to prepare for ice bergs, storms, heavy seas, as well as nice tranquil tropical waters... Follow us on our journey, of which we've done more than 20 000 miles already. Our wish is that you may hopefully live vicariously through our adventures, or take some valuable information with you that might assist you in your endeavors some day.

Petro well done for sorting out and driving the Cat to the boy!. I have a humidity problem in a house on Lake Como Italy, and you are right in what you have done to reduce mold whilst away. I bought a digital humidity switch from eBay. This you can fit to your Fans and set the humidity % to switch them on when it reaches 60% (Mold starts to grow) and off at say 50% as the humidity decreases. 👍
Sounds great, will definitely investigate. We have an aircon/humidifier on board, but too risky to let it run when we were away.

I get the impression that cats in this size range are very easy to single hand. Perhaps easier than a monohull of the same length.
