    First of all, great work on the stainless! We need to get up and do ours before the new enclosure is delivered. Second, really felt like we were there with you, sailing thru the storm. Well done! Stay safe, those storms can get nasty.

    Single handed sailing always helps to improve the boat. If the set up works for one person its a breeze when Petra is back

    I can ser on your face that already many yeras made you confident going alone...i like that :)
    I have an idea about ligtning and the mast.
    Alu masts have son resistans and it could be like this..
    A copper rod with a copper ball and only 20cm above the higest point in mastop...a long copper cable from the rod and attach cable with cable strips shortes way to stb or port side.
    Have an lenght so you can drop the cable in the sea when worries and thunder is near.
    Lower resistans will make the path if lightning is near or hit the mast
    It is big difference between alu and copper . And the idea is not that expesive if you make it.
    An eartfault breaker can also with realease breaker to battery both side plus and minus. This eartfault breaker react so fast so the lightning will go thru the rod..wire..water.
    In 64 and was a ship repairman for many years...i watch yoyfully and you r sailing...

      For your diesel engines...there are HHO kit..these kit save 15-30 % in fuel and lower carbon with up to 70%. It also ceep the fuelinjectors clean all the time. And increase power by 10%. All you add is the electrolyte. I have a kit on my car..and att idle it runs on hydrogen and save 0.1 liter/10 km. When driving. The kit i have makes 0.5 liter/minute. Takes 150w.
