Thank you for all the Hong Kong vlogs and contents❤ You’ve made me feel that this city is beautiful and that I’m lucky to live here. I would never have explored these good things by myself. Hope you will come back again so that I can randomly run into you and ask for a picture xd
It's just I'm an international student from Hong Kong and am abroad rn, haven't been home in a year, and this video just left a really sweet taste in my mouth, thank you very much for this vlog.
I actually like Yvonnie's vlogging. Her commentary is so informative, not too long/not too short kinda vibe, fits the whole mood and engaging. It's like pewdiepie's vlog in Japan but in HK. I would love to watch some PH vlog if ever evon gonna do some vlogging in PH.
The 芝麻糊 with 豆腐花is the best way to have it, Hong Kong desserts are so good, I really miss 砵仔糕 my parents would take me to the street vendors when I was a kid and I would always one of each the brown sugar one and the white sugar one
Hong Kong seems so chill. Not sure if it’s always Gloomy there, but I love the weather. Would definitely visit, definitely different from my Japan trips.
yvonnie ur hk vlogs are the first videos of you that i’ve watched! as a hkger i love seeing how u genuinely enjoyed everything on ur trip 🥺💗 thank u for documenting such a beautiful hk with ur vlogs!!
I always imagine the airy egg puffs are a cost saving scheme to lower ingredients cost. that said, I also happen to think it taste better airy with thin shell and chewy insides.
i've been LOVING these hong kong vlogs and OMG U WENT TO HOLLYWOOD PLAZA THAT'S THE AREA I GREW UP AT!!! they always have lots of things set up in the middle of the mall for events, and there were a few times celebrities went there for fan meetings. i live in australia but hong kong is a second home to me since half of my family lives there so i've gone back many times to see them.
I am a resident in shatin and I really recommend you to come chill to Shatin/ Ma On Shan if you come next year if you want to see the other face of hk These districts are not as hustle as places you have gone to but it is more quiet and comfortable You can bike along the river to Tai Po from shatin also
thanks for the entire hk vlog content! i really enjoyed seeing hong kong through your perspective. it's probably strange of me to say but i'm kinda in a similar situation where my family immigrated to Australia from hk when i was super young and hk has always been this nostalgic mythical homeland hyped up in my mind. these vlogs have helped eased some nerves i didnt even know i had about my first solo(ish) trip to hk next feb. thanks again for all the comfy vibes and ideas on places to visit!
There was a restaurant at the top of Victoria’s Peak back in ‘91 that, to this day, had the best steak I’ve ever had. It was the peppercorn sauce that put it over the top. I miss Hong Kong for the food.
I've never been to HK and I hope I'm able to visit soon with my parents, who wanted to take me back before the protests but no time. So many subtle moments in this vlog made me smile and reminded me of my childhood even though I grew up ABC. The dried orange peels, my mom always makes fun of me for liking that but my grandma always fed those to me. I also had a Chinese checkers and Chinese chess set at my grandparents place that I would often play. And like a lot of Canto ppl remember pre-pandemic, the classic dim sum carts and the aunties serving them. Growing up, we didn't have the black sesame soup that often but my grandma always made walnut dessert soup and that was my sister's favorite. Hope you get a chance to read this and I can't wait for you to vlog again in HK
Really enjoyed your vlogs and your commentary! As someone who has travelled to HK a number of times since they were a kid, I weirdly consider it to be like my second home, since every time I go there, it just feels as if time had never passed since my previous visit and I know my way around. The last time I was there was right before the pandemic started, but I'll finally be going there again for Christmas/New Years and I'm really looking forward to it! It's such a lively and beautiful place to be!
I watched this on an empty stomach and my tummy is GROWLING, the food looks so amazing!! The bouncy food texture is commonly referred to as "QQ". copy pasta from the internet - "The term originated from Taiwan, where Q sounds similar to the local word for “chewy”, but it's evolved to mean a little more than that. The Asian version of al-dente, QQ foods are soft but not mushy - they must offer some resistance to the bite". The more you know.
I watched Inside Out in Cantonese when I was visiting family. It was actually odd to watch it in English when I came back to the US. The Cantonese male voice for the I Lava You song was AMAZING. I still have no idea who the singer is though...
@@maxsmart645I think it depends on where in the US. It's so big we have like 10 words for 1 thing. I've always called it bouncy castles all my life and I'm American born. From east coast and lived in the midwest and southwest. Unsure about the rest of the US.
lol... it's already in a pot... but I am pretty sure that's some kind of pet... of course, it might not be living room comfortably... I would imagine turtle for eating will be in a more manageable size where you can kept on a farm, sell in the wet markets, slaughter in the kitchen and serve in a pot that fits on a regular kitchen table.
@@porcorosso4330 Hong Kong food markets have Turtles that big to eat usually for Turtle soup. The small ones are sold to cook at home the big ones are for restaurants.
@@maxsmart645 yea but not this kind of turtle (don’t think it’s called turtle probably a species of it), hk is humid and hot most of the time so it’s kinda necessary for the big pot of water, the owner prob wants it to go out and breath a bit

Also, if you wanna try something new next time in Hong Kong, you should try exploring the New Territories like 大埔or 沙田 and the other islands, like 長洲or大澳 or even 赤柱 because it seems like you only walked around HK island and Kowloon, which is understandable cause you only have so much time. but those other part are also pretty good and have different atmosphere than HK island and Kowloon.

I love it when Yvonnie speaks a little cantonese. That makes it authentic and wholesome at the same time
I wanna do a full canto vlog one of these days 🥹

Is it weird I only watch this channel for the vlogs?
I mean, it's either vlogs or Valorant, and most people don't play Valorant, so...
