Daniel Bickle plays J. S. Bach's "Das alte Jahr vergangen ist," BWV 614, recorded on the Karl Wilhelm organ of St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Toronto.
Daniel Bickle is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he studied organ with Douglas Bodle, and of the University of Illinois, where he completed graduate studies in choral conducting. For many years he was Head of Music at Branksome Hall where his choirs won numerous awards in festivals and competitions, performing widely in the United States and in England. Following eighteen years at Branksome Hall, he moved into administration in the Toronto District School Board, retiring as a Principal in June 2010. He now serves as Director of Music at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, and is active as a choral accompanist and collaborative pianist.
