even though you don't need to close your mouth for the vowels. I still don't know how they are able to sharply differentiate without it sounding off.

Some of these acts actually record on tape and install the tape inside the puppet. Especially when the ventriloquist is drinking and talking at the same time. It makes it look like the ventriloquist is talking. I call this cheating. It's a tape installed in the back of the puppet.

@@LucyBoob Hello. Yes. It's what they call "tricks of the trade". So there's actually no skill or talent involved. It's very misleading and all ventriloquists who drink and talk at the same time are guilty of alleged cheating. I met Ray Allen in Blackpool and he was very coy about it.

I've noticed that if you don't pay attention to it and say it fast it sounds exactly like a B. So I think unless they have supersonic hearing then they won't notice it
