Thanks for posting that great video of former Australian pace bowler Bob Massie on his debut picking up 16 wickets on debut against the Englishmen. It was so good to see the bloke bowling for the first time. One thing that, I noticed on this video clipping was in the first innings, he picked up the wickets bowling over the wicket & in the second innings, he picked up most wickets bowling round the wicket. He held the record for 16 years in test cricket, but was broken in the 17th year by a legspinner from India Narendra Hirwani, when he took 16 wickets against the Windies on debut by conceding one run less than Massie. Thanks again, mate, as I had my first glimpse of this wonderful yesteryear bowler Bob Massie, who hailed from Western Australia.
+Ram Mani Massie hardly a 'pace' bowler. A lick above fast medium at best. And at 3:15, the wise Richie Benaud refers to him as a "medium pacer." And a rubbish run up and equally rubbish sidies to boot.
Mark Richardson Interesting. The late great Richard Benaud - as already stated - refers to Massie as a "medium pacer", ESPNcricinfo say "mediumfast", and a chav such as you says "fast bloody medium." But of course you know better than Mr. Benaud Oh. Thankfully I've never been to NZ or AUS. Muppet chav.
Mark Richardson My oh my, the wee chav spits the dummy and uses such choice language when confronted with reality. Terribly sorry to have to spoil your fantasies with facts:) Clown. Any plans to fill Richie Benaud's shoes with your incisive expert 'knowledge' on cricket? LOL!
He had such a wonderful action
He looks exhausted after each delivery.

It's Massie, not Massey
Masseys was a brewery in Burnley.
