There is a stigma against country music in inner city areas but there's a stigma about rap n hip hop in some country areas. The beauty is that it's not a 100% stigma in either. It's also gotten less rare to see as time has gone on.
Modern country music is a poor representation of southern culture. Louisiana and Alabama are some of the best states to see true southern culture (Opinionated, of course)

I live in the UK and was born in a large town called Liverpool home of the Beatles, I now live in a tiny village with no shop, one pub and I love right next door to a pig farm, one of their barns is right next to my garden and it's only in a tiny place like this (one bus out in the morning and one home in the evening) there is nothing but farms and fields for miles, my closest town is 16 miles away and it's here I feel at home, I would never want to live in a big place again
