yay, love for Demons (one of my fav) also I had the pleasure of working with the actor who played Tony the Pimp (Bobby Rhodes) in one of my short films, years ago.
Love that you reassess movies on repeat watches, that’s such a real thing, like too many reviewers act like their initial impressions are the only take they’re ever going to have on a film.

Kylie, another great video. Oh, I too liked Upgrade. It's definitely a dystopian film. I mean, we should all realize: if we do not address our profound problems [and we do need actual democracy to address them] like climate chaos, the increasing threat of nuclear war etc. we're in serious trouble. That's what sci-fi films are telling us, in a roundabout way, that we've got to fix our problems otherwise the future is quite grim.
Didn’t look through the comments for it, but highly recommend True Detective: Night Country (especially if you enjoyed season 1). Thx for what you do on this channel - makes work much easier ESPECIALLY on Mondays 😂

Ok, look. I just want to say this. WHY DID THEY MAKE THE MEAN GIRLS MOVIE A MUSICAL. The films a classic. I remember my sister being obsessed with that movie when we were kids and had to share a room. Spent way too much time with that film. lol
So glad you saw Demons. I watch it every October now, I can't help it. I've seen it SO many times. It really isn't a good movie. You thought the pacing sucked? Oh yeah. Some bad acting, bad dubbing, some of the gore effects are very cool, but some of them are SUPER fake. It's just FUN. So fun. I recommend everything Argento directed in the 70s and 80s, and a lot of stuff he just wrote or produced, too.
Oh my God I LOVE the House On Haunted Hill remake 😨😨😨 I'm so sad you didn't like it 😅 I used to watch it as a child/teenager like every couple of weeks! The night of the incident in the asylum was my birthday though (Oct 11th) so that was probably large reason for it to be fair!
Great first recap of the year! I like that we got a semi-deep dive of Poor Things in this recap. Sorry about all your annoying comments. I never want you to feel defensive with my comments. But if you loved Poor things, you gotta check out Frankenhooker! Aka the 90s horror version of Poor Things lol it’s made by the same guy who made Basket case and Brain Damage! Definitely give night of the demons a redemption rewatch! So metal of you to check out the silent Frankenstein movie! It was made by Thomas Edison, the historic inventor! Yeah I guess the house on haunted hill remake is weird since it’s effects are bad but bad for the 90s, plus the twist is that the ghosts are real in the remake but I get where you’re coming from, it’s weird charm compared to the Vincent price version lol Carnosaur is definitely more trashy than slumber party massacre lol but both are b movies. The letters have nothing to do with grade but more like an A-side and B-side of records. Movies that were shown in double features always had the better “A” movie first and the “B” movie is always regarded as less, even if one could be an “A” quality. Also, if you wanna check out more Italian horror, shudder just added a bunch of old classics and a majority of them is by Dario Argento!! Thank you again for the recap! Also congrats on upgrading your thumbnail game! Dark mistress is leveling up to her next evil form!
Hey Kylie, regarding Buffy. So season 1 and 2 I always skip and go from 3 and on 4 is alright kinda funny. But from 5 and 6 and 7 it gets wAy better and more intense. Idk I'm sure you know Eliza Dushku m Bring it on but she is like the bad slayer that comes in season 3 and she's badass. It's like slayer vs slayer
Dam, I remember being little seeing Jason Statham in The Transporter ( 2002 ). I've been a fan of his ever since. The Beekeeper was a surprisingly fun watch & Josh Hutcherson came out of nowhere, lol. 🤟🏾💪🏾
I just really love listening to your opinion on movies and shows, you have a very engaging way of talking, and I usually agree BUT LOTR is definitely in the top 5 of all times great franchises, even though Amazon is working hard on ruining that with their show lol My wife and I always watch all 3 of the originals extended version on Thanksgiving.
Yooo demons has been on my watchlist forever , I’m definitely giving it a go . I haven’t seen any Italian horr0r but by the look of the posters they look fun
I'm sure you know thos by now but I think B movies are from back in the day when you'd go to the movies and they'd show double features, so the second movie or the less exciting or appealing one was the b movie
When I watched Ted I thought of you because of Georgia. Flashbacks to you talking about Scream TV series. I haven’t watched the film Poor Things yet but I do recommend the book. It makes more sense knowing the author and what he stood for.
If you’re headed toward giving up on Buffy, try to give season 3 a go first. Eliza Dushku was fantastic. The show feels a lot less Dawson’s Creek from then on too.
Also I just watched your movies Watched in December and was dying to see your January wrap up and saw it was available as soon as I finished the other videos 😂 perfection 👩🍳😘💋
In terms of Italian horror / Giallo SweetNSpooky has some really informative videos about the genre and great recommendations to start with. If you do cover them in the future, I hope you bring her on the channel! Sorry about your succulents I suck with plant care too 😓
Now, Any action film Jason Statham is in I find lots of enjoyment. The Beekeeper was one of them solid watch had fun with it. Action sequences, fight choreography, casting choices Jeremy Irons, Josh hutherson gave some good performances to made it very convincing.
just out of curiosity, which version of the ruins did you watch? because the unrated and theatrical have different endings and the theatrical ending is a lot better (at least in my opinion) :)
Night of the Demons is one of my favorites. Hope you try it again another time. For recent movies you might have missed I recommend Candy Land on Tubi. It's about sex workers at a truck stop place. It's a slasher. There is a male SA scene so just a heads up. It's a very haunting movie. Italian horror from Lucio Fulci: Aenigma, City of the Living Dead, The Beyond, Seven Notes in Black AKA The Psychic, and House by the Cemetery. Italian horror from Dario Argento: Bird with the Crystal Plumage, Tenebre and The Stendhal Syndrome. Italian horror from Mario Bava: Blood and Black Lace, Black Sunday.
How on Earth are you killing your Dracaena trifasciata (mother-in-law's tongue)? I thought they were kinda indestructible like spider plants. Succulents and most houseplants don't like to be sat in water or too wet potting mix. They can generally handle drought pretty well so I don't think you're under-watering them. Maybe they need more light?
Buffy has an ep/event/time where it massively improves its mid season 2 tho its all amazing thats when it becomes the best show ever i dont wanna spoilit so ill just say the number season 2 episode 13
I’ve heard plants like classical music 🤷♂️. Maybe hearing horror movies scares them? That being said , please don’t abandon your art, you’re a true artist. I love your channel. All opinions are equal but, some opinions are more equal than others 😏I hope your plant babies live.
Please stick with it with buffy. These is a massive tonal shift season 2 episode 13 and after that episode it’s almost like watching a whole new show with a whole new purpose.
Re: Italian Horror. Check out Mario Bava's "Bay of Blood a.k.a. Twitch of the Death Nerve" and tell me that is not a true proto-slasher and a horror classic that holds up.
Nice collection of movies and TV shows you watched last month. Here are the movies I watched last month: Uncharted Gran Turismo Halloween (1978) (4K Ultra HD) Halloween 2 (1981) (4K Ultra HD) Child's Play (1988) Child's Play 2 Child's Play 3 Bride of Chucky Seed of Chucky Curse of Chucky Cult of Chucky Chucky: Season 1 Chucky: Season 2 Child's Play (2019) Carrie (1976) Clueless The Craft Space Jam: A New Legacy (twice: Once on Cartoon Network and twice on Blu-ray) Note: I will definitely be upgrading Halloween 3 through Resurrection from DVDs to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.
I really want to see Poor Things, I saw the trailer to it when I was in the theater for Oppenheimer, I thought it looked really fascinating and creepy. And I agree, I think that it's difficult to make things all-encompassing. As someone with Asperger's, I appreciate when a piece of media portrays autism in a respectful and positive way, but I'm not sure if I've seen anything that can fully encompass autism, because no case of autism is exactly the same. If Poor Things got positive attention from the autistic community, that just gives me more incentive to give it a watch.
wow, lots watched this month lmao the tv show roast is real. gotta keep it 💯 I was not sure about watching the curse but now since it apparently goes all twin peaks/david lynchy with the finale I’ll have to peep it haha love your take on poor things!! night of the demons is good fun in the right mood, might have to watch it with friends or maybe a live stream?? I think upgrade would be cyberpunk not steampunk. steampunk is more of a moustaches, monocles, top hats, waistcoats, and dirigibles kinda vibe lol. nice old school horror picks this month!! william castle is rad. in cecil b. demented a character has a william castle tattoo lol the house on haunted remake is goofy, the 2000s vibe takes away from the scariness. I think a b-movie is a b-movie. I don’t think it goes any lower than that haha. a b-movie is generally made on the cheap and sells based off the title or pitch rather than quality. being deceptive with star power is a classic b-movie role. put a star on the poster when they’re only in one scene or whatever. they used to be the second movie on a double feature, like a freebie movie. Italian horror slaps. some of by favs by director: argento: Suspiria, deep red, tenebrae, (I need to see more of his lol) bava: five dolls for an august moon (a giallo whodunit slasher of sorts) fulci: the beyond, city of the living dead (crazy fx moments), a lizard in woman’s skin soavi: cemetery man, the church night swim lmao. I heard it was doodie, I guess 2024 horror can only go up from here lol yeah why waste time on negative reviews, deep dives on good movies are much better lol
I finished the Lord of the Rings trilogy as well. I enjoyed it. I prefer Peter Jackson's horror films more. I do like HOHH remake but then that awful CGI shows up towards the end. At least you get a funny line, "I had nothing to do with this! I WAS ADOPTED!". "Demons" is a lot of fun. Demon 2 is what Evil Dead Rise should have been. Has anyone seen the Pool Party Massacre? It's sooooo bad. The acting is....something.
I watched Dude Bro Party Massacre III last month too lol, I think one of your unboxing vids reminded me to check it out.. YO your thoughts on the film are identical to how I feel.. it was cool at first but the style got really old really quick.. some funny stuff sprinkled throughout but overall I didn't love it, but it's not a film I'd trash, it's a 2 star for me.. Scary Movie is the best horror spoof imo, it's a wild one lol.. That new Mean Girls has always sounded horrible to me.. at least the younger folks can see what it's like to see a nostalgic treasure get pissed on lol.. but hey I've always had a connection to it too, saw it when I was 20-21 and have always held it in high regard.. the writing is great and Rachel McAdams is f*ckin hilarious in it haha.. I know I'll probably never watch this new one, but they'd definitely have my attention if they made a follow up to the original with the OG cast following them as late 30s-early 40 year olds..
If it helps, this witch also kills plants🙄🤦♀️. I CANNOT keep one alive to save my life. The only one I've managed to not completely destroy is the spider plant but truly I just leave her alone and water her when she droops😂 I never could get into Buffy. However I loved Charmed. As far as witch shows...Salem. 3 seasons. Very horrific.
Poor Things is an amazing film well acted, funny, psychologically trippy and really good storytelling about this girl bella baxter emma stone as a Creation by this scientist played by Williem dafoe coming to her own learning her own place in the world. Doesn't come off to me as pretentious it was more so on growth, empowerment. The complaints some I'd get from critics but pretty much Kylie you explained it quite well some detractions doesn't take away the overall experience.
I liked seeing Poor Things in theaters. I love a bonkers movie and this was absolutely that. I am also a neurodivergent person that felt seen by Emma, especially in her growth of understanding phase. I love that she just did her thing and ignored societies views on whatever she was doing. I also love that she gets the life she wants at the end of the movie, but overall it was sad to see all the b******* she had to go through to get there, although that's the somewhat realistic part (even though this movie is absolutely fantasy.)
The final ep of season 7 of Rick and morty was really good. I would recommend watching that one at least. I thought this season was really strong but the ice T ep was definitely the weakest
I have never been able to sit through Buffy. oh my God it is so boring ( my brother and mother loved it by the way). Demons is so much fun. I am a HUGE Argento-fan and have been for 45 years. Everybody will tell you to watch Suspiria and a couple of others but i tell you you have to watch Phenomena. I LOVE that, it is......i cant tell you what it is, it is a movie that has everything, Donald Pleasance, Jennifer Connelly, Daria Nicolodi, a very smart monkey, a heroine who communicates with insects, a crazy mother, bloody murders and so on. Maybe it is a little.....well lets say it is not a movie with a lot of representation but remember it is an italian movie from 1985.
Writers are now writing for audiences who think movies cannot have mean characters because mean people are a bad thing. I'm so over the sanitisation of comedy and stories for people who think cinema is only for escapism.
I found night swim enjoyable I was laughing through the entire movie about truly stupid it it is terrible genuinely also I recommend a blade in the dark it’s directed by lamberto Bava the guy who directed demons
Unpopular opinion, I have never been able to get into Buffy either. Nothing against the cast, just won't click with me. My favorite vampire show has always been True Blood and the others just don't live up to it
Saying lord of the rings isn’t the best trilogy of all time is not only the worst take I’ve ever heard you give but one of the worst I’ve ever heard regarding film as a whole. At this point you’re just a contrarian.

Got to keep going on buffy. If you haven't bought in by the end of season 2 then I don't know what to tell ya, but ya gotta keep going.
Yeah I guess the house on haunted hill remake is weird since it’s effects are bad but bad for the 90s, plus the twist is that the ghosts are real in the remake but I get where you’re coming from, it’s weird charm compared to the Vincent price version lol
Carnosaur is definitely more trashy than slumber party massacre lol but both are b movies.
My theory on Poor Things - Her Creator was The Monster from Frankenstein
Fr I didn’t even know he was in it hahaha
I just really love listening to your opinion on movies and shows, you have a very engaging way of talking, and I usually agree BUT LOTR is definitely in the top 5 of all times great franchises, even though Amazon is working hard on ruining that with their show lol My wife and I always watch all 3 of the originals extended version on Thanksgiving.
Great video Kylie I really enjoyed The Beekeeper and Poor things because it finally came to my theater and I really enjoyed the Iron craw also
Yooo demons has been on my watchlist forever , I’m definitely giving it a go .
It makes more sense knowing the author and what he stood for.
definitely on my tbr list!
Renee Rapp is a professional singer in real life and I loved her in Mean Girls but I totally respect your opinion on the film!
If you’re headed toward giving up on Buffy, try to give season 3 a go first. Eliza Dushku was fantastic. The show feels a lot less Dawson’s Creek from then on too.
Where did you get the pennywise shirt from?
If you're looking for some Italian horror recommendations. Bay of Blood also called Twitch of the Death Nerve is a bonkers good time.
Sorry about your succulents I suck with plant care too 😓
Oo if you’re a fan of her you should check out our collab! She’s a great friend of the channel!
@@HauntedHippie ohh hell yea! I’ll go check it out, you two should collab more regularly that’d be really awesome!
Now, Any action film Jason Statham is in I find lots of enjoyment. The Beekeeper was one of them solid watch had fun with it. Action sequences, fight choreography, casting choices Jeremy Irons, Josh hutherson gave some good performances to made it very convincing.
That thumbnail?? OK RUclipsR 💯
we're not playin around anymore!!
@@HauntedHippie Runquist could never
just out of curiosity, which version of the ruins did you watch? because the unrated and theatrical have different endings and the theatrical ending is a lot better (at least in my opinion) :)
I believe I watched the theatrical cut, but I do have the unrated cut on dvd as well! Now I'm not sure lol
@@HauntedHippie interesting! the theatrical ones ends with amy escaping and there's no vines in her face so she successfully escapes
@@ivy85313 yes okay that's what I saw. they left it open for a sequel huh
Keep going with Buffy, best show of all time 🙌
Night of the Demons is one of my favorites.
I"m sure someone else has said this but succulents need only two things - 1. lots of bright light 2. very little water.
I don't think I have enough sunlight in my room tbh
Favorite RUclips cult so far ❤🦇
See, the secret to Dube Bro Massacre Party 3 is you need to see the first two before this one ;)
Buffy has an ep/event/time where it massively improves its mid season 2 tho its all amazing thats when it becomes the best show ever i dont wanna spoilit so ill just say the number season 2 episode 13
the lead in upgrade is also the lead in the invitation (2015) - logan marshall green! he's great! he's also in devil & prometheus.
!! The invitation slaps!!
I’ve heard plants like classical music 🤷♂️. Maybe hearing horror movies scares them? That being said , please don’t abandon your art, you’re a true artist. I love your channel. All opinions are equal but, some opinions are more equal than others 😏I hope your plant babies live.
I definitely recommend the beekeeper it was a fun movie to watch nothing to take to serious. Was action packed .
Oh great and powerful master you put your plants near a window with sunlight and don’t over feed them
Blood and black lace is a good italian horror
Please stick with it with buffy. These is a massive tonal shift season 2 episode 13 and after that episode it’s almost like watching a whole new show with a whole new purpose.
Re: Italian Horror. Check out Mario Bava's "Bay of Blood a.k.a. Twitch of the Death Nerve" and tell me that is not a true proto-slasher and a horror classic that holds up.
Nice collection of movies and TV shows you watched last month. Here are the movies I watched last month:
Uncharted
Gran Turismo
Halloween (1978) (4K Ultra HD)
Halloween 2 (1981) (4K Ultra HD)
Child's Play (1988)
Child's Play 2
Child's Play 3
Bride of Chucky
Seed of Chucky
Curse of Chucky
Cult of Chucky
Chucky: Season 1
Chucky: Season 2
Child's Play (2019)
Carrie (1976)
Clueless
The Craft
Space Jam: A New Legacy (twice: Once on Cartoon Network and twice on Blu-ray)
Note: I will definitely be upgrading Halloween 3 through Resurrection from DVDs to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.
If Poor Things got positive attention from the autistic community, that just gives me more incentive to give it a watch.
wow, lots watched this month
lmao the tv show roast is real. gotta keep it 💯
I was not sure about watching the curse but now since it apparently goes all twin peaks/david lynchy with the finale I’ll have to peep it haha
love your take on poor things!!
night of the demons is good fun in the right mood, might have to watch it with friends or maybe a live stream??
I think upgrade would be cyberpunk not steampunk.
steampunk is more of a moustaches, monocles, top hats, waistcoats, and dirigibles kinda vibe lol.
nice old school horror picks this month!! william castle is rad. in cecil b. demented a character has a william castle tattoo lol
the house on haunted remake is goofy, the 2000s vibe takes away from the scariness.
Italian horror slaps.
some of by favs by director:
argento: Suspiria, deep red, tenebrae, (I need to see more of his lol)
bava: five dolls for an august moon (a giallo whodunit slasher of sorts)
fulci: the beyond, city of the living dead (crazy fx moments), a lizard in woman’s skin
soavi: cemetery man, the church
night swim lmao. I heard it was doodie, I guess 2024 horror can only go up from here lol
yeah why waste time on negative reviews, deep dives on good movies are much better lol
Great read, 10/10
This is great, I LOVE these 👍 ❤
I finished the Lord of the Rings trilogy as well. The acting is....something.
haha haven't seen PPM
@@HauntedHippie Prepare yourself.
I agree! That's what they should've done. The musical was so creatively bankrupt it's unbelievable
If it helps, this witch also kills plants🙄🤦♀️. I CANNOT keep one alive to save my life. The only one I've managed to not completely destroy is the spider plant but truly I just leave her alone and water her when she droops😂
I never could get into Buffy. However I loved Charmed. As far as witch shows...Salem. 3 seasons. Very horrific.
And I’ve even killed all my snake plants so omg
Poor Things is an amazing film well acted, funny, psychologically trippy and really good storytelling about this girl bella baxter emma stone as a Creation by this scientist played by Williem dafoe coming to her own learning her own place in the world. Doesn't come off to me as pretentious it was more so on growth, empowerment. The complaints some I'd get from critics but pretty much Kylie you explained it quite well some detractions doesn't take away the overall experience.
Oh my lord on the dark side. You might like the movie the church it’s from Dario Argento
What do you mean Emerald Fennel is your nemesis 😂💀
What she do lol
You should try night of the demons 2 sooooo much better. and the practical effects are really good.
January is always 473 days long
Their are rumors of a new Spin-off Buffy The Vampire Slayer Tv Series be released!!!
Buffy doesn’t really get going in season 3 also the spin-off Angel is pretty good
The final ep of season 7 of Rick and morty was really good. I would recommend watching that one at least. I thought this season was really strong but the ice T ep was definitely the weakest
Does Jason stathan punch any bees like he punched a shark in The Meg? 😭
Yoooo adding to the list
Writers are now writing for audiences who think movies cannot have mean characters because mean people are a bad thing. I'm so over the sanitisation of comedy and stories for people who think cinema is only for escapism.
Oh man the LOTR comments hurt 😂 but everyone's movie tastes are different, which is a beautiful thing 😘❤️ we still love a LOT of the same movies 😊
Like I said if you’re not annoying about it, I salute you 🫡
Check out Destroy All Neighbors and Project Dorothy
Alright 👍
This is not new horror, but are you still going to watch Ash vs Evil Dead? Jw in case you need a break from Buffy.. lol.
I found night swim enjoyable I was laughing through the entire movie about truly stupid it it is terrible genuinely also I recommend a blade in the dark it’s directed by lamberto Bava the guy who directed demons
You can just skip to season 7 of Buffy if you wish
I love kylie she is intelligent and funny 😊❤
Interview with the vampire on AMC+...the sex scenes are not boring at least lol.
Departing Seniors was a scream like slasher? Available to rent. Nothing original but watchable for the two lead characters
❤Excellence ❤
Unpopular opinion, I have never been able to get into Buffy either. Nothing against the cast, just won't click with me. My favorite vampire show has always been True Blood and the others just don't live up to it
Saying lord of the rings isn’t the best trilogy of all time is not only the worst take I’ve ever heard you give but one of the worst I’ve ever heard regarding film as a whole. At this point you’re just a contrarian.
Oh no, now your thumbnail is changing?! I Really missed your old standard thumbnail. 🥲
Nahh we’re leveling up. No more messy thumbnails
check out the piper
