So, a couple... Corrections? for this guy. First, alt mode is in fact a T-Rex. Or.. At least it isn't a raptor. The neck is too short and there isn't that exaggeratedly big inner toe. But man do I want a proper Raptor dinobot now. PotP Slash wasn't the greatest. Secondly, that block you moved around was a mounting point for his missile launcher, the ranged weapon to complement his tail... Whip, I guess. Tail.whips are TOTALLY creative and original on a beast former..
I've seen this in the comments numerous times but I'd like to put my comment here anyway. The post at the back is a port for his Guardian Blaster which is shaped like a gun with a blade underneath its barrel. It fires a transparent red projectile, and the tail converts into a Smashing Whip. Both weapons can be stored at his back in robot mode.
I agree, the earlier days of transformers had some pretty good designs. And I like this type of Grimlock. Even though I just realized it’s existence like months ago, I want to see more of Dino-head heels Grim, and have the tail hang from his back instead of the head.

Loved seeing the transformers in the walking test appearing in the intro. The classics line has come a very long way, but I can see just how big a deal he would have been back in the day. Great job
The song intro goes the extra production mile! I can only imagine how much work went into making the song parody let alone the review. This is my first time seeing this Grimlock toy. I didn’t know it even existed. There was probably a good reason for it being obscured in my databanks. I’m not familiar with that jetfire version either.
Aside from the tiny size, this i honestly my favorite Grimlock figure. The dinosaur mode looks much more agile and powerful than the upright t-rex designs and I love his robot mode with the asymmetrical chest. He's got such great paint apps too.
I've got the Overkill, it's a pretty nice toy, just don't expect it to be the definitive. Also, I guess the tail is some bashing weapon, we did come with a gun though.

@@TheLazyEyebrow well.... Its more of just a personal kick in the ass. Mostly because A) im a huge grimlock fan, and B).....im just a hopeless sucker for chrome. I dont know if the chrome is enough of a justifiable reason to get it over the original, but id take the opportunity if it ever came again. (EDIT) so i went and looked at the actual photos compared to the og classics toy and the henkei one has painted teeth, more gold on the arms and isnt too expensive on the aftermarket anymore. The perpetual self ass-kicking can finally cease once i hit up ebay. Go for it dude. 👌
@The Lazy Eyebrow I'm sure you may have already searched in the 2 years when you made this that the "weird" pipe looking thing is a Gunsword connector that he has for Dino mode that makes him look like Zoid. The Gunsword has a clear red plastic projectile that could be springshot from the Gunsword, I still own this figure and I do agree that the size and robot mode aren't too great, though his Dino mode was better imo.
Hey lazy eyebrow, for a good transformers to review, I would recommend Howling Metor, g-get it, howling metor, a screaming star. (No but seriously, its an excelent figure)
I love classics Grimlock and the seeker mold. Only gripe with classics grimlock was his stupid sword-missle lancher thing, which I was not in this video. I found the first taget master figure fans project came out with works, it looks like his g1 gun and he has a dino roder as well.

I do want to say this if you want a really amazing Grimlock to fit with the siege line i recommend planet X Vulcan although its a little pricey it fits amazingly with the siege line
As the previous owner of that figure I feel the responsibility to tell you that the "whatever the heck this is" is just a big plug for the gun to be mounted to his dino mode (or stored in robot mode maybe). I lost the gun years ago and forgot to mention that in the note
Unpopular opinion, I wish this figure had gotten a mainline retool, could have made a pretty awesome alternate universe BW Dinobot, or an original character, maybe retool to really sell it as a raptor and that could have been Slash before POTP
